In 1935, IE(I) was incorporated by Royal Charter and remains e only professional body in India to be accorded is honour. IEI conducts Sec on A & B Examina ons in different engineering disciplines, e successful comple on of which is recognized as equivalent to a degree in appropriate field of engineering of recognized Universi es of India by e Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India. For more details please visit website About IE(I), Nagpur Local Centre In 1947, a Centre of The Ins tu on of Engineers (India) was established at Nagpur which was en known as Central Province Centre wi its first Chairman Er. F.C. Balsara and first Hon. Secretary Er. R.W. Mavlankar, later on e name of is Centre changed to Madhya Pradesh State Centre in 1951 and a er states reorganiza on it was again changed to Nagpur Local Centre in The Centre has excellent infrastructure, library, air condi oned conference room, seminar halls and guest rooms. The centre is one of e most vibrant centre of IEI and has organized many All India Seminars, Workshops, Technical Lectures, Site Visits, Na onal Conven ons and Engineering Congress. It has helped in dissemina on of Technical knowledge and also lead to ac ve, objec ve, and purposeful par cipa on, from Fellow Engineers, Technologist resul ng in excellent fellowship which has contributed for e benefit of society in general and technical fraternity in par cular. 3 About e Na onal Conven on t h India is all set to become e 4 largest infrastructure projects market in e world by e year 2025, as e sector is con nuously growing in e country. In is backdrop e need to not only expose our workforce to e latest and emerging technologies but also to derive benefits from e advancements in e technological know-how and e implementa on of e same in construc on industry has never been far greater now an ever before. Civil Engineering has always readily adopted new technologies, using innova ons like suspension systems to build bridges and GPS to plot new roads. And as technology con nues to evolve, we can expect at e Civil Engineering field will only keep incorpora ng new technology in increasingly crea ve ways. New - technologies - ose at have been released wiin e last 5 years - are about to change e Civil Engineering field and allow innova ons previously not possible. Wi construc on industry growing at a rapid pace, large number of structures are coming up all over e country. This includes road structures, bridges, flyovers, railway structures, metro, airports, hydraulic structures, commercial buildings etc. In order to meet wi e pace of construc on wiout sacrificing e quality of construc on, adop on of advanced technology is a must. The auors may include topics of eir original research and findings for live projects. They should send two copies of extended abstract in IEEE template (not exceeding two A-4 size pages typed in 12 pt., 'Times New Roman' font wi double spacing) of eir original works.
