2 MMU Melaka Fencing Club Competition Details for MMU Fencing Championship Open 0. Date: 0 th April 0 st May 0 (Saturday & Sunday). Venue: nd Floor, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall Jalan Merdeka, Bandar Hilir, 000 Melaka, Malaysia ( Opposite Toys R Us ).. Organizer: MMU Melaka Fencing Club Multimedia University Jalan Ayer Keroh Lama, 0 Bukit Beruang, Melaka.. Event: Men s Epee Women s Epee Men s Sabre Women s Sabre Men s Foil Women s Foil. Competition Rules : The fencing competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current statues and rules of FIE. In case of disagreements in interpretation of the rules, the latest FIE rules in English version shall prevail. The Directoire de Technique shall deal with any unforseen incidents not covered by the rules.. Equipment : FIE Equipments are not compulsory. However, rusty weapons, torn fencing attire and short socks are not allowed. Fencer s clothing must be made of sufficeintly, robest material and should be in good condition. An inner plastron is compulsory. Weapon check will be done on the piste before each bout.. Prizes : A medal will be awarded to the st, nd and joint rd places in each event.

3 . Entry Fees : RM0.00 per person/ per event. Entry fees can be paid during the team manager s meeting by cash. Payment is inclusive of the event T-shirt. Entries submitted after th April will be subject to an additional RM0 payable on top of the usual competition fees unless supported with a valid reason.. Competition Management : (.) Referee Participating delegations must be accompanied by number of referees according to the FIE Rules as follows : fencers : 0 referee fencers : referee or more fencers : referees Note : i) ii) iii) Please ensure that the referees are to be properly attired. Please bring a jacket / blazer and long pants. A penalty of RM0 will be charged for failing to provide the required number of referees. (.) Directoire de Technique (DT) The DT will be responsible for the technical organisation of the competition. (.) Jury of appeal The jury of appeal will consist of one representative for each participating country / state / club under the chairmanship of the Organising Chairman, or a representative appointed by him. The decision of the jury of appeal shall be final. (.) Protests. Appeals against decisions of the referee should be immediately made by the competitors to the referee, before any decisions are made regarding the subsequent hit. If the referee could not maintain his decision, the complaint will be brought to the attention of the D.T. Every appeal to the jury of hit appeal must be accompanied by a deposit of RM0.00 which will not be refundable. This sum will be confiscated in whole or in part if the appeal is rejected by jury of appeal. Appeals must be lodged and written in Bahasa Malaysia and / or English.
