Overview For the second annual Crystal Screen, the Crystal City Business Improvement District showcased everyone s favorite spy, James Bond.

In total, more than 9,000 people joined in the fun at Crystal Screen with the largest, single attendance night drawing over 800 people.

Crystal City businesses and restaurants added flavor by supplying free samples, ice cream, popcorn, and other related items to eager patrons.

3 Overview For the second annual Crystal Screen, the Crystal City Business Improvement District showcased everyone s favorite spy, James Bond. For 21 consecutive Mondays from May to September, 2008, the BID was the only outdoor film festival that screened every 007 movie in chronological order. In total, more than 9,000 people joined in the fun at Crystal Screen with the largest, single attendance night drawing over 800 people. In addition to the movie, the BID also hosted raffles, trivia contests, and other activities throughout the program. Crystal City businesses and restaurants added flavor by supplying free samples, ice cream, popcorn, and other related items to eager patrons. The result was an exciting event that kept people coming back week after week. Due to the overwhelming success of the event, the BID extended the festival, adding the 1967 Bond-spoof, Casino Royale, and the three Austin Powers movies, for 25 weeks of exciting espionage in Crystal City.
