2 Letter From The President The last quarter is upon us and there are a lot of things that we will be addressing before the end of the year. It s time again to start the renewal process. In this month s newsletter there will be a renewal app. The National has raised their dues to $40.00 per year. The local will stay the same at $25.00 Also if you do not have a way to print out an application to fill in, you can just mail your check payable to the High Rollers for $ and stick a note in the envelope with your name so we know who you are. This year the renewals will be sent to Judy Pendergast, Secretary, and recorded. I would like to thank all that have stepped up or volunteered to be either on the board or a committee this next year. The list of nominees will be in this newsletter and if everybody is running unopposed we will vote at the November meeting by majority vote. Another subject that keeps coming up in conversations is membership. While most of us don t like selling, it s beneficial to the club that we get out and ask the reminder simplest question when around other car enthusiast. That is, you want to join a fun club? and go from there. Find out if they enjoy driving their babies and like driving them the distance. Find that common ground with people and make new friends. One of the biggest let downs is when they changed the name of the club to Vintage. I knew before this happened that it would not make a difference. Unfortunately I was right. To me the explaining of Veteran Motor Cars was the real deal. Once explained people understood and signed up. Now that it s Vintage it seems to be more difficult to sell. People right away say I don t have a vintage car, it s modified. I also think the personalities need to change. Not everybody today enjoys pre-war relics and that s unfortunate. We need younger blood in the ranks and people who are dedicated to the Vintage Motor Car Club of America and show enthusiasm. I enjoy meeting and talking to people. Selling the club is a no brainer. We will need a volunteer for the Western Region Director this next year. This is an appointed position by the president. John Pendergast, President N E E W O LL A H Y APP H Page 2

The need to set up membership tables at local and national events; to include the national tours. The allowance of restomods in the club so more young people can afford and be willing to join the club. This would also make cars safer, faster and more reliable.
