3 Transportation Teams are expected to arrive at Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou between the morning and afternoon of that Friday. NCPA will provide shuttles from Baiyun Airport to the Nansha Grand Hotel with an NCPA representative to welcome you and ensure that transfers to the hotel run smoothly. Note: The instructions above are preferred, however if different accommodations are necessary, contact Matt Wolodzko for alternative solutions. Meals Snacks (Friday-Saturday) NCPA will maintain a snack room for all participants and coaches throughout the competition, from 1PM on Friday through 5PM on Saturday. Dinner (Friday) Students will be shuttled to Wanda Plaza with chaperones, while coaches attend dinner at Yuge (local Indian Restaurant). Breakfast (Saturday) Included with each hotel booking at the Nansha Grand Hotel. Lunch (Saturday) Provided by NCPA and Liberty Brewing Co. Dinner (Saturday) Provided by NCPA and Liberty Brewing Co. *Smart Casual dress required. Tournament Fee An ACAMIS tournament fee of either 1800 RMB or 3200 RMB for 1 or 2 teams of 4 students, respectively. This calculates to 450RMB or 400RMB per student for 1 or 2 teams respectively. Please have your school finance department make arrangements for payment no later than February 16, NCPA will send invoice and payment details. The tournament fee DOES NOT include travel cost to Baiyun Airport nor hotel cost in Nansha. Coach Expectations Coaches will be expected to assist in scoring each event.

4 Tournament Itinerary Friday March 16 - Saturday March 17, More information can be found at: Friday, March 16 o Teams arrive to Guangzhou (CAN) airport and use NCPA shuttle service to The Grand Hotel in Nansha. o 1:00-5:00 pm NCPA Snack Room Opens! NCPA Math Olympiad Team will provide entertainment and social opportunities for students as they arrive to the venue. These activities will be both fun and academic. o 4:00-5:00 pm - Coaches Meeting (Location TBD) o 5:00-5:20 pm Welcoming Banquet and the opening competition begins! All schools will vote on their top 3 favorite ACAMIS Mathematics Posters. o 5:30-7:00 pm Mixed Team Challenge 1 Applied Mathematics o 7:30-9:40 pm Mathletes travel to Wanda with Chaperones for Dinner. Teachers attend a social dinner at Yuge Indian Food Restaurant. o 10:00 pm Curfew: Mathletes in hotel rooms Saturday, March 17 o 7:00-8:00 am Breakfast at The Grand Hotel o Walk from hotel to NCPA o 8:30-9:00 am Number Sense Competition o 9:10-10:10 am Mixed Team Challenge 2: Escape Room! o 10:20-11:20am Student Led Seminars o 11:30am - 12:30 pm Catered Lunch (by Liberty Brewing Co.) o 12:45-3:45 pm School Team Competitions o 3:45-4:30 pm Mathematics Trivia Competition o 5:00-6:00 pm Closing Ceremony with formal dinner catered by Liberty Brewing Co.

5 Awards Trophies provided for: 1 st Place Team 2 nd Place Team 3 rd Place Team Additionally, all NCPA ACAMIS Mathematics Competition results will be posted and maintained on NCPA s website. Other Info Curfew: 10:00-10:30pm curfew based on coaches discretion will apply for each night of the tournament. Coaches are responsible to enforce curfew. Additional Funds: Participants are required to bring additional cash to cover dinner on Friday night along with other necessary drink/food/snack requirements that they need throughout the tournament. (Recommended amount: 200 rmb) ACAMIS Code of Conduct Forms: These should be completed prior to leaving your school (see attachment). Medical Support: At least one nurse will be onsite both Friday and Saturday in case of emergency.
