3 As the Membership Officer for the Thunder Bay HOG Chapter, I would like to remind the membership that the renewal time for your Local Dues is fast approaching. I will be ing everyone an attachment of the Membership / Release Form in November. There are copies of Membership / Release Form available at Thunder Bay Harley Davidson. Please Note the change in Local Dues Thunder Bay Chapter dues are $ paid on a yearly basis which gives us an updated Release form for all the events. Your HOG Canada or HOG USA membership must be up to date to belong to the Local Chapter. I was reviewing the costs associated with being a HOG member. I thought it would be appropriate to explain the memberships to the members. As of today the cost to members is as follows: Full Membership to join or renewal. One Year Renewal $60.00 Two Year Renewal $ Three Year Renewal $ Lifetime Renewal $ Lifetime Renewal after being a member for 5 Years - $ Associate Membership One Year Renewal $35.00 Two Year Renewal $55.00 Three Year Renewal $80.00 Lifetime Renewal $ Lifetime Renewal after being a member for 5 Years - $ The most cost effective time to renew for a Life Membership is after the fifth year. If you renew for multiple years, your patches and pins are automatically mailed to you on a yearly basis and you renew on your renewal date. Your renewals are subject to increases when you renew if there is one. The lifetime is not subject to increases and the patches and pins are mailed every year for life. To join or renew, talk to the friendly people at HOG Canada Monday to Friday 8:00 4:30 CST. W. Skinn Membership Officer
4 The corn roast was well attended with 41 HOG members and guests at Willy and Heidi s. I would like to give them an honourable mention for hosting!! I think everyone had a good time. The bocce tournament was won by Gary Lafreniere and Pamela Cowie and second place was Gary Ward and Ruth Brickell. Eighteen people played through a series of games. Also you probably already know, breakfast is October 28 at the Sal in Westfort, and the birthday party is going to be at the Victoria Inn in the Carlton room like last year, on November 10th. Kat Gary Mack made it to Port Dover this summer! Friday, 13th of July, 2018

9 Photos from Heidi Story from Ruth & Heidi This past July, we did a Ladies Ride to Warm Springs Ranch, home of the Budweiser Clydesdale Breeding Program in Boonville, Missouri. Along the way we took the scenic route, travelling the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, the Great River Road, crisscrossed the Mississippi River between Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and into Missouri before heading west to Boonville. We stopped at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa; a must see if you haven t been there, stayed in a century old restored hotel, checked out several H-D shops, and got to see the magnificent Clydesdales and 2 young foals; the real purpose of the trip. The weather gave us a bit of a scare in Ottumwa, Iowa, when we got a little to close to a tornado. On the way home, we stopped to see Split Rock Lighthouse and joined up with the Thunder Bay and Duluth HOG chapters for a Meet in Middle lunch in Lutsen, MN. Pikes Peak Overlook, near the meeting of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. Pikes Peak State Park, Iowa.

16 115th Anniversary Celebrations in Milwaukee with Heidi & Willy Skinn Photos by Heidi Willy and I did the ride to Milwaukee for the 115th Anniversary Celebrations for Harley Davidson. Thanks again to Ross for being our group tour guide. As always it is an "adventure". From the rain, flooded roads, getting separated (just once), to touring the backroads, it was all great. The Harley celebration offered so much to see. There were Dealer parties, flat track racing, beach racing, Police and Civilian Skills competitions, street parties, tours of the museum and the Miller Brewing Company facility, and much more. There was so much to see, it was hard to take it all in. Then of course there were the nightly patio parties. A fun time for all who made the trip.

23 2018 Bike Adventures with Ian & Carmelita DeGiano Here is a little story and some pictures from this summer about my wife, Carmelita and our adventures on our 2017 Harley Deluxe. After picking up our new bike on May28th, (thank you again Ken, Brandon and everyone at TB Harley), we were able to log km this summer. Work relocated me to Alberta, but that just meant more mountain riding. The Selkirk Loop offered lots of great riding and beautiful country through British Columbia and the US. Another awesome ride started in Cranbrook, BC and travelled through the national parks from Banff to Jasper. Selkirk Loop
