About Today s Game Princeton University, located in Mercer County (eight miles from Rider), has an enrollment of 5,047 and the Tigers are a member of the Ivy League...Princeton is the defending Ivy League champions and finished with a 24-5 record, losing in the opening round of NCAAs against Georgetown...the Tigers opened the season with wins over Saint Joseph s, Lafayette, Villanova, Marist and Davidson...Rider returns 10 letterwinners (and four starters) from a team that finished last season 5-25, 5-13 in the MAAC...this season, in the MAAC preseason poll, Rider was picked to finish tied for eighth...rider opened the season with a win over Lafayette on November 11 and the Broncs defeated Bucknell on November 13, opening the season 2-0 for the first time since the season...rider lost at Penn by nine on November 19 in its last outing...the Broncs are led by sophomore MyNeshia McKenzie, a member of the MAAC All-Rookie team and senior Ali Heller, who was 10th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage and won the MAAC 6th Player of the Year award...princeton defeated Rider on December 5, 2010 by an score at Jadwin Gym...the teams last met in Alumni Gym on December 8, 2009 when the Tigers won today marks the 29th game in the series with Princeton holding a 20-8 series lead.

Rider in Season Openers/ Home Openers/MAAC Openers Rider is 4-14 in the last 18 season openers having defeated Lafayette to open the season...rider is 9-13 in the last 22 home openers...the Broncs are 4-10 all-time in MAAC openers after losing to Marist on January 2, Three for Five Head coach Lynn Milligan, Associate Head Coach Pam Durkin and Assistant Coach John Miller all return for their fifth seasons. Ffrench Canadian Saint Joseph s grad and Canada native Whitney Ffrench joined the coaching staff in July, Ffrench played under Milligan at Saint Joseph s before assisting at Wagner College where she earned her master s degree. Head Coach Lynn Milligan Rider Head Coach Lynn Milligan is in her fifth season as head coach. Milligan came to Rider from Saint Joseph s University where she was a six-year assistant coach. Three of her last five recruiting classes for the Hawks were nationally ranked and the Hawks had 111 wins in her six seasons including five WNIT appearances. Prior to coaching at Saint Joseph s, Milligan was the top assistant coach at Drexel University for six seasons. Milligan is a 1992 graduate of then Rider College with a degree in Communication and earned her master s in Counseling in 1994 from Rider. Milligan was a two-sport stand out as Lynn Donovan lettering in basketball and softball. As a senior in 1992, Milligan helped lead the Broncs to a 9-3 record in the East Coast Conference and as a graduate assistant at Rider, the Broncs compiled a record including a record in the Northeast Conference. Milligan is the 19th head coach in the 73-year history of the sport at Rider. Streakers Rider had its four-game winning streak snapped by Canisius on January 23, that was Rider s longest winning streak since the season when the Broncs defeated Canisius, Marist, Siena and Manhattan from January 9, 2000-January 20, 2000 in four straight MAAC games...the Broncs also won four straight during the , & seasons. Three for All The Broncs had made a three-point field goal in 104 straight games before the streak was ended at Princeton on December 5, the Broncs have made a three-pointer in 78 straight home games. 5 D gets an A Rider held Bucknell to one field goal and seven points in the second half on November 13, 2011 in a win, the ninth time under head coach Lynn Milligan that Rider has held an opponent in the 40s...in , Rider allowed only 41 points against Monmouth (November 19, 2009) and held the Hawks to only 13 points in the second half. The Broncs also held Siena to 45 points in the 2010 MAAC tournament. The nation is saying what the Heller Then junior Ali Heller made her first five shots including four from three-point range and had a career-high 14 points in only 19 minutes against Bucknell on November 12, after a four for four three-point field goal performance at Marist on January 2, 2011, Heller first led the nation in threepoint field goal percentage and she was first, second or third until the end of the season, eventually finishing 10th...Heller was definitely far sighted with 58 three pointers and 12 field goals from inside the arc...this season, Heller has nine field goals, six from long range and is shooting 50 percent (6 for 12) from the new NCAA three-point distance. Census The current roster consists of four seniors, five juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen. Milligan s 100th The Lehigh game on December 29, 2010 was the 100th in the head coaching career of Lynn Milligan.

6 Rider Alumni Former Broncs you may have heard of: Jack Armstrong. An All-American pitcher for Rider in 1985 as a sophomore, went on to start the 1990 Major League All-Star game as a rookie pitcher for the World Champion Cincinnati Reds. Clair Bee. An accounting professor, founded Rider varsity sports in and coached football, basketball and baseball. Compiled a 53-7 three-year record in basketball before moving on to LIU, where he won National Championships. A member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Bee wrote the popular Chip Hilton books and invented the shot clock and the three-second rule. Christine Catalanotto 05. Two-year letterwinner at Rider, graduating Magna cum Laude with a degree in Psychology. Served two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Wagner College and is now in her fourth season as an assistant coach at Manhattan College. Pam Durkin 97. Current women s basketball associate head coach at Rider. Speaking of Alumni 1997 Rider grad and current Associate Head Coach of the Broncs Pam Durkin was inducted into the Al Carino Basketball Club South Jersey Hall of Fame on February 10, Durkin, now in her fifth season on the coaching staff at Rider, was the 1997 Rider Female Athlete of the Year and earned All-Northeast Conference honors as a senior, ranking seventh in the nation in rebounding at 11.7 boards per game. In , Durkin was named the South Jersey Collegiate Player of the Year by the Al Carino Basketball Club and that year was inducted into the Sterling High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Hall of Famer 1995 Rider graduate and women s basketball star Jennifer Feeney was among five inductees into the Rider Athletics Hall of Fame on June 11, Feeney graduated fourth in career scoring at Rider with 1,262 points, fifth in career rebounds with 590 and seventh in career assists with 235. Harry Gamble 52. Member of the last football team at Rider (1951) and went on to be President of the Philadelphia Eagles...member of the Rider Athletics Hall of Fame. Dick Kuchen 66. Graduated from Rider as the career leader in rebounds and was fifth in career scoring, made the winning fouls shots as Rider upset NYU. Was the head coach at Cal-Berkley and Yale. Jack Madden 65. Graduated from Rider as the career leader in points and rebounds in basketball and was 20-5 as a Bronc pitcher on the baseball team. Went on to enjoy a long career as an NBA referee, including 25 NBA championship series games. Lynn Milligan 92, 94. Current head coach of the women s basketball team at Rider. Richard Digger Phelps 64. Played basketball and golf at Rider, coached basketball at University of Notre Dame, currently works with ESPN, member of Rider Athletics Hall of Fame. Lauren Thomer 04. After two seasons as an assistant at Army, Thomer was named the head coach at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York in October, 2009 and was awarded conference coach of the year honors in her first season. Jason Thompson 08. Four-year letterwinner for men s basketball...drafted by the Sacramento Kings of the NBA in the first round (12th pick overall) in Will be in his fourth season with the Kings.

7 In their 20s Senior Sarah Homan scored a career-high 20 points in Rider s win over Lafayette on November 11 and sophomore MyNeshia McKenzie scored a career-high 23 points in a loss at Penn on November 19. February 12 - National Girls and Women in Sports Day The Rider University Department of Athletics will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday, February 12 during its women s basketball game against Manhattan...last season, over 1,100 fans witnessed the game which saw the Broncs prevail in double overtime against Iona. Ya-Ba-Double-Do Caitlin Bopp scored her 11th double-double (and first of the season) against Binghamton (16 points, 12 rebounds) on November 20, 2010 and had a double-double at FDU on November 29, 2010 (18 points, 12 rebounds)...bopp s 13th double-double came against the University at Buffalo on December 30, 2010 (10 points, 14 rebounds) and Bopp had her fourth double-double of the season (14th of her career and third vs. Manhattan) against the Jaspers with 13 points and 13 rebounds on January 13 and had 14 points and 12 rebounds at Manhattan on January 24...Sarah Homan scored her second double-double (and first of this season) at Marist (10 points, 10 rebounds) on January 2, 2011 and had her third double-double with 19 points and 20 rebounds (both career highs) against Iona on February 6, freshman MyNeshia McKenzie scored her first double-double against Loyola Maryland on January 4, 2011 with 18 points and 15 rebounds, had her second double-double against Iona on February 6, 2011 with 19 points and 14 rebounds and notched her third double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Fairfield on February 12, McKenzie recorded her third double-double in a row and fourth of her career with a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds against Siena on February 14...McKenzie had her fifth doubledouble and fourth in a row with a career-high 22 points and 12 rebounds in Rider s triple overtime win at Niagara on February 18, this season, both MyNeshia McKenzie and Caitlin Bopp had double-doubles against Bucknell in Rider s win on November 13 with McKenzie recording her second double-double in a row at Penn (23 points, 12 rebounds) on November 19.

9 Rookie Rebounders Then freshman Caitlin Bopp pulled down 16 boards against Manhattan on January 31, 2010, the most rebounds since Shaunice Parker had 17 rebounds on November 9, 2007 against Monmouth and Kara Borel had 16 rebounds against Canisius on February 11, Then rookie MyNeshia McKenzie pulled in 15 rebounds against Loyola Maryland on January 4, 2011, pulled down 14 against Iona on February 6, 2011 and had 12 boards against Saint Peter s on January 15, 2011 and 12 rebounds at Niagara on February 18, Have your cake and eat it too Five players celebrate November birthdays, McKenzie, Homan, Bopp, Parsons and Lightbourne. The Best Things in Life are Free (Throws) On February 19, 2010, led by a seven for seven performance from then freshman Caitlin Bopp, Rider went 19 for 19 (that s percent for the Jeff Nolan s of the world who don t like math...) from the free throw line against Saint Peter s...the last time Rider was perfect from the line was against Princeton on December 29, 2007 when the Broncs went four for four. Game on the Line In the first three games this season, Rider has been making a living at the free throw line, recording 51 of 184 points (28 percent) from the charity stripe. After shooting 61 percent from the line last season (costing the Broncs almost 10 points per game), Rider has made a monumental improvement with a 76 percent success rate this season. Welcome to the Show For the third year in a row, a rookie began her career in the starting line up with Emily Fazzini cracking the starting five against Lafayette on November 11, Last season, MyNeshia McKenzie made the start at Bucknell on November 12, 2010, opening the campaign. In , Rider rookie Carleigh Brown made her first collegiate start in her first game on November 13, 2009 against Seton Hall. Carleigh was the first Rider rookie to start her first collegiate game since Stephanie Wisniewski started against Rice on November 12, Carleigh had started 27 straight games before the senior day starting five ended the streak on February 26, the last Bronc to start every game as a rookie was Kara Borel who started all 28 games in

10 Putting the Student in Student-Athlete On November 17, 2011, 140 of Rider s 326 athletes were honored at halftime of the men s basketball game for compiling a 3.00 grade point average of higher for the Spring 2011 semester...from women s basketball, Carleigh Brown, Sarah Homan, Aisha Varnadore, Caitlin Bopp and Shereen Lightbourne were recognized. M*A*S*H Update - (a/k/a the Dain Report) From the desk of Athletic Trainer Gina Dain, junior Shereen Lightbourne will miss the season with a knee injury. All other players are expected to dress for today s game. Parsons and the Health Reform Law No person in the nation may benefit more from the provisions in the new health care legislation signed into law than Rider guard Alyssa Parsons...coming off not one but two ACL injuries (one to each knee), Parsons also missed time last season with a back injury and an unrelated shoulder injury.

11 New Logo - New Floor On July 25, 2007, Rider Athletics unveiled a new Bronc logo. Only the fourth Rider Athletics logo in history, the original Roughrider logo was designed by the legendary Clair Bee 80 years ago and was last used in 1989 when Rider switched to an upright Bronc. When Rider gained University status in 1994, a U was incorporated into the logo. Due to a flood in August, 2009, the Alumni Gym floor was completely replaced with the gym reopening for competition in November, With the three-point arc being moved to the men s distance, the floor was resurfaced for this season over the summer. Same Name, New Website In January, 2008, the Rider Department of Athletics unveiled the redesigned Gobroncs.com website and the site, through a year-long process was updated again with a redesign that launched November 21, Through a partnership with NeuLion, we are now able to offer more content (over 80,000 pages and counting), and BroncVision which steams (audio and video) for the home men s basketball games, women s basketball games and wrestling matches (except for televised events). With the evolution of the site, other Rider sporting events were added in (men s and women s soccer and field hockey, along with volleyball). Enhanced LiveStats via Gametracker is also offered for all Rider home events in men s and women s soccer, field hockey, volleyball, men s and women s basketball, baseball and softball.

13 Taking Care of Business and Working Lots of Overtime Rider won at Niagara in triple overtime on February 18, , defeated Iona in double overtime on February 6, 2011 and the Broncs defeated Saint Peter s in overtime on January 15, 2011 by a score...rider did not play any overtime games in Under head coach Lynn Milligan the Broncs are 6-2 in overtime games. Rider was 1-1 in overtime in having lost at Monmouth on November 24, 2008 after defeating Fairleigh Dickinson November 21, 2008 by a score. The back to back overtime games were Rider s first since the season, when the Broncs lost to Penn before bouncing back to defeat LIU. Rider went 2-1 in overtime games in The Broncs lost to Siena on February 29, 2008 after defeating the Saints on January 27, 2008 by a score of The Broncs also defeated Army on December 12, 2007 by a score of Before the Iona game on February 6, 2011, Rider s last double overtime contest was February 11, 1993 against Marist in a Northeast Conference game when the Broncs lost The Niagara game on February 18, 2011 is believed to be Rider s first triple overtime game.
