1 Rockets Review Finals Fever Rockets Women s ABL team play the Grand Final at Adelaide Arena NABC proudly Sponsored by Congratulations to the Rockets girls for making the Grand Final at Adelaide Arena on September 1st. Early in the fourth, the Flames led by as much as 26, before the Rockets gave the game a bit of life, pressing their way back to with 6.56 remaining. But the Flames edged out the Rockets taking the Premiership. Jaimie Lee Peris finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Jo Hill was a standout for the Rockets with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, while drawing 12 fouls. 2 Under 16 Boys and Girls Teams Blitz Finals teams made it to the Grand Final. Six out of the seven U16 Boys teams made it into the finals. An impressive five of those Joel Pitt s Div 3 s, AJ Herbert s Div 5 s both won the premiership and Caitlin Lawrence s Div 4 s, David Durant s Div 5 s and AJ Herbert s Div 6 s all took runners-up. Under 16 Div 1 Girls won the premiership. Congratulations to all teams for a successful winter season. Rockets sign with Sportscentre Sportscentre on Port Road in Hindmarsh have signed on with the Rockets as a major sponsor and manufacturer of the Rockets new sublimated uniforms. All new players to the club are to purchase the new uniform range from Sportscentre either at their Port Road Store, or at their online shopping website that is operating now. It is not compulsory for existing players to change uniforms, but as players require new uniform pieces, they are to be purchased from Sportscentre. Sizing samples will be available for viewing at Hillcrest through Vickie Ivancic when the Summer season begins. Sportscentre will also be present at Hillcrest on a date to be set once the Summer season begins. We shall keep you informed. 3 Under 10 Boys Div 2 create success at Bearcat s Carnival Gary Saponari s team played during the carnival and won 3 out of 4 matches and ended up on top of the ladder. They lost in the grand final by 8 points to the Southern Tigers team whom they had narrowly beat by 3 points the day before. Well done to Ryan Feeney, David Rinaldi, Patrick Raggatt, Darcy Saponari, Ethan Hubbard, Angus O Neil, Jayden Demeo, Thomas Mayo and Callum Cooper. PAGE 3

4 Trophy Day Celebrations Sunday September 16 was Trophy day at Hillcrest. A great day was had by all with a free barbeque and soft drinks for all players. Congratulations to all teams that achieved well in their finals pursuits and congratulations to all players who were recognised for significant achievements throughout the summer and winter season. Well done to all players for a great year. The event also saw Barry Mansfield inducted into Life Membership of NABC. PAGE 4
