This will be the first meeting between the two clubs, as Fury FC made the jump from the NASL prior to the 2017 season. Several streaks are on the line for the Hounds this Saturday. Along with the potential for a three-game winning streak for the first time since 2013, Pittsburgh is running back-to-back clean sheets as well, with its last seven matches being decided by a one goal or less. Additionally, the club has scored in six straight - an encouraging note considering they were shut out 11 times in Fury FC has gotten off to a middling start this season, netting points in four of their six matches, but currently sitting 12th in the East. The club has struggled on the offensive end, being shut out in three matches so far, though they also hold three clean sheets as well, including most recently against second-place Tampa Bay. Despite the low ranking, Pittsburgh would be wise to mitigate the number of shots allowed as best as possible with Ottawa averaging a robust 12 per game. So far this season, the Hounds have held serve, being outshot only once - down a man in a 1-0 defeat to FC Cincinnati. The club has also recorded less than 10 shots once this season, also a loss, and is when holding the shots advantage for the match. Rookie midfielder Victor Souto continued his dazzling start to the season, netting his first career professional goal and the eventual game-winner vs. Toronto FC II. His efforts earned him both Team of the Week and Goal of the Week honors. The Akron product has been a workhorse, starting in 7 of 8 matches, ranking third in minutes (675) and leading the club in tackles (29) and passes (460) - the latter at nearly 160 more than second-place Jack Thompson at 302. Another newcomer making stellar contributions has been goalkeeper Trey Mitchell. Helped by a defense that has allowed only five shots on goal in the past two matches, Mitchell is the first goalkeeper since Calle Brown in 2015 to record back-to-back clean sheets. If he can repeat his efforts on Saturday, Mitchell will help the Hounds to three-straight shutouts for the first time since The country of Canada has been kind to the Hounds since 2011, as the club has notched a record of against foes north of the border.
