Needing only a win, draw or help from tiebreakers barring a loss, the Hounds can take home the Keystone Cup for the second time in its three years of existence. Pittsburgh holds the advantage head-to-head so far this season, capturing a victory at home on April 29 (1-0) and playing Harrisburg to a scoreless draw on May 24. Saturday will mark the third straight year the Keystone Derby has been decided in the final meeting between the two clubs during the regular season. If recent history suggests anything, scoring just a goal might be more than enough to snag three points in this matchup. The last five meetings between these two clubs have produced six goals total (three for each), two scoreless draws and only the City Islanders have tallied multiple goals in one game - a 2-1 win in July of 2016 that proved to be the deciding factor in Harrisburg s overall Cup victory. Outside of in-state bragging rights, a win for the Hounds would be much needed heading into the final 10 games of the 2017 campaign. Pittsburgh is mired in a seven-game winless streak (0-2-5) dating back June 22 - the longest such streak since the beginning of the 2014 season saw the Hounds not pick up their first win until 11th game of the year (0-6-4). Not surprisingly, playoff hopes also ride on this matchup as the Hounds currently sit 12th in the East, but only three points outside of the conference s top-eight. With both Ottawa (10th 24 pts.) and Saint Louis (13th 23 pts.) right in the thick of things with Pittsburgh as well, and both holding three games in hand, picking up wins is even more of a necessity moving forward. Last weekend s draw against Richmond marked the ninth on the season for the Hounds. The total is the most ever since the franchise began play in 1999, besting the previous high of eight reached in 2013 and Though it must be noted this year includes the most games ever played in a single USL regular season (32) to date. Notching the goal for the Hounds in that draw against the Kickers was Stephen Okai, who became the eighth Hounds player to find the back of the net this season - one off from matching last year s total of nine. Quick notes to keep an eye on Saturday - with his next appearance, Kevin Kerr will move into a tie for fourth all-time in club history in caps with Sterling Flunder (123). Additionally, Danny Earls is one caution away from being handed a onegame suspension by the USL for card accumulation.
