The Hounds are coming off a 1-1 draw at Toronto and are in the midst of a four-game winless streak in league play. Saturday s match is sure to present quite the test, as Louisville is undefeated so far at home, posting a record, including three clean sheets. The Louisville defense has been stout in general, leading the East with six clean sheets overall and not allowing a goal since June 3 - a 4-4 draw against Charleston. Worth noting, small sample size perhaps, but the Hounds have yet to lose at Slugger Field in two contests since Lou City joined the league in 2015 (1-0-1). Louisville s defensive prowess is not welcome news for the Hounds, who have not hit double-digit goals in a single match since a 2-1 victory over the Battery on April 8. Encouraging signs have been present though, with the club hitting 10 or more shots and four or more shots on goal in four straight games. If anything, Pittsburgh has been victim to some dazzling goalkeeping performances with opposing keepers all recording five or more saves in its past three matches. Signing earlier this May, Romeo Parkes has begun to assert himself alongside Corey Hertzog in the Hounds attack. Parkes recorded his first goal of the year and the tying tally against Toronto, leading the team with four shots on goal in the process. Past success indicates Parkes is certainly capable of heating up, as the Jamaican recorded five goals in six appearances for the Hounds last season. As is expected with scoring droughts, multiple key contributors for the Hounds have not been on the scoresheet in a considerable amount of time. One player of note is Marshall Hollingsworth, who after opening the season with six points in eight games, has gone scoreless in the past five matches. Kevin Kerr has been another, failing to record a goal since the season opener in March and last recording an assist on April 29.
