Award, given annually to the most outstanding senior studentathlete in NCAA Division I men's lacrosse. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence - community, classroom, character and competition.

7 VILLAnOVA TEAM AWArDS JIM JOnES AWArD The Jim Jones Memorial Award, initiated in 1967, is given annually to the Villanova lacrosse player who best exemplifies loyalty, courage, and dedication, not only in athletic competition, but in everyday life. The honor is named after Jim Jones ( 64) who played lacrosse and gave his life for his country in Vietnam. Joseph Tofani Award, presented to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average. The honor is named after b. Joseph Tofani, a graduate of the class of As an engineering major, Tofani went on to work for Pennsylvania s bureau of reclamation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he became a national leader in the water resources community. He earned a commendation from the Secretary of Army and also received the Army s Meritorious Civilian Service Award.
