1 Vancouver Island Combat Championships 2003 Match Results Well, yet another VICC has come and gone with success. This year, we had 43 competitors from Vancouver Island and BC, Alberta, as well as the USA in attendance. It was great to see many of the shooters that are new to PPC shooting and I hope that you enjoyed yourselves and will come back next year ready to shoot all of the matches!! The weather this year was not in our favour all weekend for the first time in quite a while. We fought through the wind and rain, picking some of the finished targets from treetops. But it did not stop us from being happy at the fact that we are able to shoot in a climate that is so enjoyable the weather does not matter. Once again, I would like to thank all of the people that contributed by volunteering their time to work at the match. From the kitchen crew to the statisticians, the range and line officers to the chief referee, I would like to thank each and every one of you for dedicating your time to help us with the match. Congratulations to Steve Taylor, the PPC winner and Dean Shwaga, the Duty Pistol winner. Congratulations also go out to Darcy Gent for winning the Charlton Custom shoot. Print off the flyer on the last page as a reminder for the 28 th Vancouver Island Combat Champs on October 8 10, I would also like to encourage shooters to make an effort to attend as many matches as you can remind everyone that there are so many good matches in this country.
