We are thankful and humbled by the many achievements the cattle from this sale and our program have accomplished over the many years of showing and selling our very best each and every year. We are blown away by this group of awesome Angus sale cattle. The herdsire prospects are incredibly good, very well balanced, sound and agile and it was very hard to narrow it down to just three. We feel they offer some very special genetics, proven yet outcross potential to many great programs. Lot 1, Houston, has already been in the winner s circle alongside his beautiful two year old mother. Our sale features have been the extraordinary show heifer prospects in past sales and this year is no different. Three heifers sired by HA Cowboy Up, which are new and exciting as well as being flat out awesome cattle. Two heifers by the $75,000, Justamere M.A.G.A. 105D, that will stand any and all competition. Two heart stopping calves sired by Justamere South Dakota, IPE 2016 Supreme Champion Bull. Also show heifers sired by PFV Insight 0129, Justamere Washington, C+C Thriller, Sudden Look 117D and an amazing, big time show female sired by EXAR Blue Chip in Lot 13 and two extremely powerful, April born, ET show prospects sired by Sankey s Justified 101 and Koupals Kozi 418. Needless to say, we are locked and loaded for the fall shows and excited to be exhibiting at the Toronto Royal, Louisville, Lloydminster, Edmonton, Regina and Denver. We hope you can find the cattle you want to be part of with us in this sale. Our bred heifers this year are sensational. We have never had a set this great. Not only are they well bred and carry excellent EPD data but the AI services and natural clean up sires are extremely exciting. The cow/calf pair section is smaller in number but amazing in quality. We think each one of these cows are donor material and their heifer calves are as good as or better than they are. We round out the Angus offering with six embryos from the heart of our embryo program that will surely be the next great calves from our program. Our son, Jon, has partnered up with Tyler Nostadt to offer some very exciting club calf sired steers and heifers. These two young cattlemen are making their mark in this industry and we are excited for this sale and what the future holds for the cattle they have offered. Truly nothing is held back and that s the way we like it. From drought to flood to mud to fire and tornadoes, we have seen it all this year across our great nation. We truly hope this catalogue finds each and every one of you well and in great status for the coming winter months. The Angus business is on the rise once again this year across North America. We say congratulations to us all and especially thank you to our many customers across this industry. This family is extremely busy on many fronts but always have time to help throughout the year and we appreciate it. Chris and Charlene Carr are great help at the sales and shows and we thank them as well. Finally, all this hard work could not be done unless we have the right people working with us. We are proud to have our son, Jon, working with us fulltime now. He has been dedicated to this business from a very young age and is the one that hold all this together and we thank him. Jim Bob, our second son, is finishing up Grade 12 this school year but has been a very big part of our success. His commitment to the field work, haying, baling straw and general maintenance is crucial and we thank him. Our girls, Tyra and Jorja, are a big help in the show barn throughout the year. Tyra is on her second year of pre-vet studies and Jorja is in Grade 8. Thank you to both of them. Jon s good friends, Drayce Robertson and Shane Conrad, have been a huge help getting the sale cattle ready this fall and we appreciate them. Jordan Phillips will be back again this fall and winter to help us through and we thank him as well. We certainly hope you can be with us on sale day for this exciting event. 21 CLUB CALF PROSPECTS We are excited to have some very good club calf genetics as part of this year s sale. Our son, Jon has a small herd of club calf females that are Angus based and he AI breeds to some of the best club calf sires in North America. Special note this year, Tyler Nostadt from Ontario asked to be a small part of the sale with his seven best steers. We have not seen them in person yet but some of the videos and pictures appear very exciting.
