Themes in the past have included Pirates, Wizards, Dinosaurs, Vikings, Chaos (the most popular week at camp), Spies, and so on! For the summer of 2018 the camp has announced the 7 week themes. Week 1 July 2-7 Classic Camp 4 th of July Week 2 July 9-14 Jurassic Week Week 3 July Chaos! Week 4 July Pirates of Lake Shawanni Week 5 July 30-Aug. 4 Brokener Time Machine Week 6 August 6-11 Camp Whodunnit? Week 7 August Camp Smorgasbord Early Bird registration opens in January! And current, active 4-H members receive a discount! 4-H camp builds independence and self-confidence in the campers. LGC provides a challenging yet nurturing setting, where children learn by doing in the hands on learning environment based on the philosophy of 4-H. The unplugged environment of camp allows children to try new things, open new doors, meet new challenges and make new friends. The camp community is intentionally small because they want to provide individual attention, which each camper needs in order to be successful. For more information, visit the 4-H camp website at or 4hcamp@njaes.rutgers.edu
