Movement of grass hay, wheat hay and other forages remains moderate but much more active than last fall or early winter. Moderate to fairly heavy rains slowed movement late as muddy conditions prevented loading and moving hay. Rainfall totals of over 3 inches were recorded in some areas. While this did not bring the state out of drought status, it has brought at least temporary relief in terms of reduced fire danger. Alfalfa Central Oklahoma: Prices steady. Supreme quality large square bales no sales confirmed. Premium quality large square bales Untested hay moving to dairies, dry cow and bunk hay Eastern Oklahoma: Good quality dry cow and bunk hay per ton, delivered short haul. Small square bales per bale. Western Oklahoma: Prices steady. Premium quality large square bales mostly Untested hay moving to dairies as well as bunk or dry cow hay large square bales per ton, large round bales Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Good Bermuda 4 X 5 bales per bale, 5 X6 bales Prairie hay 4 X 5 bales per bale. Western Oklahoma: Good quality wheat hay 5 X 6 bales per bale, loads large square bales per ton. Good Bermuda horse quality per bale in 5 X 6 bales, Good Bermuda cow hay 5 X 6 bales per bale, 4 X 5 bales per bale. Wheat straw 5 X 6 bales per bale. Eastern Oklahoma: Mixed grass in 4 X 5 bales per bale. Mixed grass hay in 5 X 6 bales Good bluestem hay delivered per ton. Good Bermuda in 5 X 6 bales per bale.
