2 Welcome Greetings to all, We want to welcome you to our 6th Annual Bull Sale. We have moved our sale to a new location and a new date. This year it will be at the Emit and Jayme Valnes Ranch on April 14, 2014, at 1 p.m.. We will announce the date and location of our production sale for our horses later in the season. We have been really excited watching this group of calves grow right from the day they were born. We think that this is probably the most powerful set of bulls we have raised in all the years we have been in the cattle business. The group of bulls we raised for this year s sale has been extremely feed effi cient. In addition to their individual actual performance, 90% of these bulls fall into the very low ME EPD category, which means that same feed effi ciency and performance should pass on to their offspring. With the tough calving spring of 2013, and our extremely cold winter, these calves have really been put to the test. Even though these bulls have not been pampered, we noticed even on the coldest of days that the majority of the Cash2R sons were lying down, content in chewing their cud, while a few of the other bulls stayed at the bunks. These Cash 2R sons have been easy keepers and good converters. If you talk to Kevin Blair from Canada s Blair Ag, where we purchased the Cash 2R semen package, he will tell you the same thing. He would also tell you how successful this bull s sons and daughters have been in the show ring, including the Denver Stock Show, with a Grand Champion daughter, and a $32,000 daughter selling at a Red Roundup sale! Some of the genetics we have used is the powerhouse female maker, Red Towaw Indeed 104H, Lazy MC Smash 41N, Mulberry 26P, Rustler 62P, Beckton Epic R397 K, LSF JBOB Expectation and, of course, the powerhouse bull, Red Corner Creek Cash2R. We can t leave out our tough and rugged ranchraised herd bulls who have always been able to weather any South Dakota winter that was thrown at them T95, 2T, 5T and the New Generation 909 bull. They have truly left their marks in our cowherd. In an effort to give our customers better bulls, we believe our cows need the same quality genetics as the herd bulls we use. We strive for good feet, good udders, feed effi ciency, and, just as importantly, good dispositions. We have been striving to produce feed-effi cient cattle and we will continue to strive to produce the best for our costumers. We want to thank our customers for their support in the past and we are looking forward to meeting new ones as well. We also want to give a special thanks to a good friend, Kevin Brooks, for all the help he has given us. It has truly been appreciated. We have a BVD-free herd. All bulls were fed together on a high roughage diet. RETAINED SEMEN INTEREST: We are retaining a 1/3 semen interest in all the sale bulls unless otherwise indicated. Full possession sells on all bulls. BREEDING GUARANTEE: We guarantee all bulls to be breeders, although we recommend you have the bulls semen tested a couple of weeks before turn-out time. If after two tests a bull is found to be a non-breeder, we will replace the bull or allow credit toward next year s sale. This guarantee is void if there is any evidence of improper management in caring for the animal, or the bull s inability to breed is due to sickness or injury which was incurred after being sold. The bull shall be returned by the purchaser or other arrangements made with us. LIABILITIES: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk.
