Cattle Viewing The sale cattle will be on display prior to sale starting on February 1 up until sale day at Rocky Valley Ranch, located approximately 11 miles east of Center and roughly 18 miles north of I-94 exit 147, take the Price turn 1 mile east. Sale day they will be at the Oliver County 4-H grounds. Transportation Bismarck is serviced by several major airlines. Lunch Lunch will be served starting at 12 Noon CST prior to the sale. Guarantee All bulls selling for $2,500 or more will be covered 50% by Brown s Angus Ranch if they are injured during their first breeding season. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turn out of bulls. Fifty percent of the value of the injured bull minus 1/2 the salvage value, if any, will be given as credit in a future sale or towards a replacement bull if one is available. Salvage value, if any, will be split equally between Brown s Angus and the buyer. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage. Example 1: A $5,000 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $2,500 minus 1/2 any salvage value will be given to the buyer. Example 2: A $2,500 bull is injured and will not heal. A credit of $1,250 minus 1/2 salvage value will be given to the buyer. Example 3: A bull less than $2,500 is injured and will not heal. No credit is given. Buyer retains all salvage value. Bull Development The bulls have been developed in a large group on a high roughage ration to ensure soundness, longevity, and customer satisfaction. Retained Interest We retain 1/3 semen interest on all bulls selling. Videos A video of each sale lot will be posted online at a few weeks before the sale.

First off, we would like to thank everyone for attending our 15th annual sale last year, it was a success! It s with our great customer loyalty that we can bring another great set of bulls to town for offering. It has been a great year to be in the cattle business! Feed prices are low which in turn drove the price of cattle sky high. We anticipate high cattle prices for years to come. The demand for top quality Angus genetics is at an all-time high. The cattle numbers have never been this low in the history of the United States. We had some misfortunes in the south western parts of the state this October. Many people are still recovering and in tough times like these, many ranchers from around the areas are pitching in and helping in any way possible. We thank everyone that has contributed. This years bull and female offering is the strongest set we have raised to date. They have raised the bar in every aspect. We have the first set of calves being offered. They are stout made powerful rancher type bulls. They have extra hair for these cold windy days and slick off nice in the summer time. Another new sire that exceeded our expectations was WMR Timeless 458 these bulls have loads of growth and performance! They have a little extra frame size for those who love to raise them big feedlot steers. This is the first calf crop being offered on KF Bando 11, BAR Firebrick 286, and MVF VRD Dateline 913P. Once again the sons from BAR Netmore and BAR Wildcat, as well as long time calving ease sire SAV Final Answer will look exceptional on sale day. We are offering 15 registered open females in this years sale. We had a large group of heifer calves this fall and we feel these will make some excellent cows, whether they go to registered or commercial operations. These heifers were selected for their overall eye appeal and consistency. As you can see many are daughters of BAR Netmore and BAR Wildcat They are bred for longevity and maternal qualities, which are hard to find in many other programs. They have been fed a growing ration not a finishing ration. They have been eating chopped hay and corn silage since Nov 8th when they were weaned. 23 Sight-Unseen Purchases If you are unable to attend the sale but wish to place a bid, feel free to call Justin, Paul, or any sale representation prior to the sale or on sale day. We will handle your bid as if you were at the sale. Genetic Testing All cattle selling that are suspect by pedigree to be carriers of AM, NH, or CA have been tested and determined free by DNA testing. Cattle that are DDP will be guaranteed to be free if tested within 60 days from sale. Performance Data All performance information has been calculated by the American Angus Association by the use of AHIR. All performance data will be printed in the sale book or supplement sheets will be available sale day. Ultrasounding All the bull will be ultrasounded for carcass data. Supplement sheets will be available sale day. Health All cattle selling have had a complete vaccination program. Feeding Arrangements The bulls will be fed free until April 1 unless other feeding arrangements have been made. Feeding is available at $3/day. Fertility Testing The bulls will not be tested by sale day and need to have a breeding soundness exam prior to turn out, at buyers expense, unless other arrangements have been made.
