2 Welcome to the 2018 Shiloh Cattle Company Trendsetter Bull & Replacement Heifer Sale. Once again, we would like to offer our sincere thanks in advance for considering our program to fulfill your herd s requirements for a new herd sire or replacement heifers. We know there are a multitude of choices out there, and we truly do appreciate your business and confidence in our breeding stock proved itself to be a very trying year. Although most areas in the west started out with good moisture this past spring, Mother Nature quickly put an end to that and we endured one of the driest summers in several years, resulting in poor hay crops, a shortage of pasture, and countless prairie and forrest fires. Meanwhile, to the north, too much moisture resulted in the opposite, with hay and grain crops once again being left unharvested in the fields. None the less, Ranchers and Farmers managed to tackle these obstacles and make the best of a poor situation. We also suffered a profound loss this past summer, with the passing of our Mother, Irene. Although this has left a huge void in our lives, we are forever grateful for all the years we had together, and take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord was also a very busy and exciting year for us here at Shiloh Cattle Company. For the second year in a row we were blessed with mild weather for our calving season. As well, this past summer, we put our sale barn to good use by hosting both a wedding and a family reunion. We then went on to once again attend several cattle shows this past fall before settling in for the winter. With that said, we are more than excited with our offering of Purebred and Crossbred bulls and replacement heifers for this year s sale. They are cattle that are sure to be at the leading edge for performance, soundness, structural correctness, and calving ease. We have added some new and exciting genetics to our program this past year, acquiring 2 new Herd Sires. Red DKF Racer 8E and Red Lauron Demolition 28D are sure to make a positive and progressive influence in our 2018 & 2019 calf crops. Both of these sires offer an exceptional balance of calving ease and performance throughout their pedigrees. This will be the 4th year our bull sale will be held here at the Ranch in our new Sale Barn and once again we are aiming to make it a memorable event. The bulls and replacement heifers will be on display just steps outside the warmth of the sale barn. Viewing of the sale bulls and heifers starts at 10:00 AM sale day, but please feel free to contact us anytime to arrange for viewing before sale day. There will be hospitality on offer before and after the sale as well as a full course meal from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm with the sale to follow at 12:30. 30 28 Terms & Conditions 1. TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable in Canadian funds unless previous arrangements have been with individual consigners. Settlement prior to any cattle released.as soon as an animal is sold, it becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. Any animal remaining at Shiloh Cattle Company must be Insured. Livestock coverage will be available from the clerk s desk on sale day. 2. CERTIFICATE AND REGISTRY: Certificate of registry dually transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each registered animal after complete and full payment has been made. 3. IDENTIFICATION: Each animal will carry a CCIA digital frequency tag as well as a ear tag. 4. BREEDERS GUARANTEE: All cattle are sound and right to sell with a responsible breeder guarantee of satisfaction. In the event of an unlikely dispute, the regular terms and conditions standard with the Canadian Aberdeen Angus Association shall apply. Any complaints regarding fertility of any animal in the sale shall be directed to the breeder. No incidental expense such as feed, veterinarian charges, interest, etc., will be charged by either party.under no circumstances shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price paid for the bull. 5.
