This individual serves sort of an intern role. It is both a great learning experience for the student assistant as well as a valuable help during the busy summer months for year round Extension staff. Sierra is in her second semester at Indiana State University studying accounting. She was a 10-year Putnam 4-H member and involved with Junior Leaders. She will be helping with 4-H Camp, Exploring 4-H programs, summer workshops and other general staffing needs throughout the summer. Welcome Sierra! Junior Leaders Continued: Enrollment p. 6 Furthermore, we continue to be in need of additional volunteers for the program. Particularly for SPARK projects like DIY (Do it Yourself) and Robotics. The Extension staff welcomes new volunteers. To be a volunteer one must complete an application, no later than May 15th, providing references and agree to background check. The application is processed and once cleared one will enroll online the in.4honline.com website used for youth enrollment and complete behavior expectation, driving and other electronic release forms. Additionally one must complete the youth protection training every two years that takes about minutes to complete. If it would be more convenient, we welcome individuals to schedule with Extension staff to complete this more quickly in the Extension office on our computers if internet speed/access is a problem.
