6 INTRODUCTION Being is cmmitted t high standards fr safety, health, fire preventin, security, and the envirnment. As a Service Prvider t Being, yu are expected t maintain the same high standards. Yu will be interfacing with Being peratins and wrking clsely with persnnel frm varius Being rganizatins and related Service Prviders. Therefre, it is imprtant that yu, yur emplyees, and yur subcntractrs are familiar with Being safety, health, fire preventin, security, and envirnmental requirements. As a Service Prvider, yu are respnsible fr ensuring that yur emplyees and all yur sub-cntractrs fllw safe wrk practices and cmply with all federal, state, lcal, and Being cntract requirements. This bklet is intended t help yu cmply with Being safety, health, fire, security, and envirnmental requirements. Nthing herein shall relieve yu f yur respnsibility t cmply with federal, state, and lcal laws, cdes, rules, regulatins, and Being-cntract requirements. Yur Being Onsite Activity Representative is yur primary pint f cntact. Sme wrk activities yu are invlved in may require additinal crdinatin with Being Envirnment, Health and Safety (EHS), Fire, Security, and ther entities as apprpriate. The Being Onsite Activity Representative will facilitate this crdinatin. Thrughut this manual, activities requiring additinal crdinatin are identified with the statement "Additinal crdinatin is required." Please read this bklet, and if yu d nt fully understand the infrmatin prvided in all sectins r if there are site-specific issues, discuss yur questins with yur supervisr r yur Being Onsite Activity Representative. Ensure that each f yur persnnel and subcntractrs that will be perfrming wrk fr Being are aware f the requirements f this manual. Requirements f sme lcatins r activities may differ frm thse in this manual. Cnsult with yur Being Onsite Activity Representative fr questins and additinal requirements that may apply t yur cntract. 7 1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 General Rules a. All Service Prviders are t stay within assigned wrk areas. Wandering in nn-assigned wrk areas is strictly prhibited. b. Service Prviders shall cmply with all psted safety requirements, including but nt limited t rules cncerning: hearing prtectin, eye prtectin, cnfined space entry, access barriers, parking and driving requirements. c. Use f ffensive language and display f ffensive materials is nt permitted. d. Hrseplay, theft, fighting, harassment, gambling, and pssessin r use f alchl r cntrlled substances is strictly prhibited. e. Firearms r ther weapns, and ammunitin are strictly prhibited. Other weapns include any instrument r device declared t be a prhibited weapn by Being Security & Fire Prtectin, such as knives (blade ver 3 inches), swrds, bws, arrws and similar bjects. Mck r nn-functinal weapns are als strictly prhibited. Cntact yur Being Onsite Activity Representative if there is a business reasn fr blades ver 3 inches in length. Additinal crdinatin is required. f. Use f Being assets such as equipment, machinery, tls, phnes, utilities, etc., is prhibited withut prir permissin frm the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. The use f Being assets by Service Prviders is generally frbidden unless there is a specific business need such as unique tling required fr a prject r additinal risk incurred in perating prtable equipment such as cranes. g. Use f a phtgraphic r camera-enabled device must be prperly authrized using a Camera Permit. Additinal crdinatin is required. h. Radi frequency devices, such as prtable radis, are cntrlled n Being prperty and must be pre-apprved befre use. Additinal crdinatin is required. i. Tbacc use f any kind is prhibited n Being prperty, including Being-cntrlled, wned r leased grunds, parking lts, private vehicles and buildings, in Being-cntrlled, wned r leased vehicles, r in pre-delivered prducts. Reflective Apparel meeting ANSI/ISEA Class II is required n flight line/ramp areas. 1.2 Badge Identificatin a. Yu must btain an identificatin badge and visibly display and wear the badge while n Being prperty. b. Lending r brrwing identificatin badges is strictly prhibited. 1.3 Vehicles and Mbile Equipment a. Persnal and Service Prvider vehicles and industrial mbile equipment used inside secured Being prperty are allwed with special permissin nly and may require a Being-issued parking pass. b. Service Prvider vehicles, persnal vehicles, and industrial mbile equipment and accessries shall be maintained in a safe perating cnditin. c. Service Prvider vehicles, equipment, r supplies shall nt blck entrance ramps, truck drs, plant access aisles, emergency rutes ( including lanes r znes), r parking specified fr Being equipment, facilities, r plant persnnel withut prir apprval frm the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. d. Psted speed limit and traffic signs shall be fllwed at all times while n Being prperty. e. Vehicles must yield right-f-way t: Pedestrians Mving aircraft Emergency vehicles f. Service Prvider vehicles are nt permitted n flight line ramps withut prir apprval. 9 General Infrmatin h. Persnnel shall nt be transprted in the beds f trucks. i. D nt idle vehicles unnecessarily. j. D nt idle vehicles near building air intakes r building entrances. k. Operatin f diesel, and gasline-pwered equipment is restricted in Being buildings. This restrictin des nt apply t transient vehicles r shrt-term lading and unlading inside ccupied buildings. If diesel r gasline pwered equipment is t remain running inside a Being building, then the equipment exhaust shall be piped r vented t the utside f the building r use a Being-apprved filtering system. Additinal crdinatin is required. 1.4 Required Pstings The Service Prvider is respnsible fr ensuring that all federal, state, and lcal agency permits and psters are placed at the entrance t the jb site, r at a lcatin as directed by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. 10 2.0 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES 2.1 Evacuatins a. All Service Prviders shall participate in scheduled evacuatin exercises r drills. b. In the event f a building r site evacuatin, immediately evacuate thrugh the nearest safe exit and reprt t yur designated assembly pint. If yu d nt knw yur assembly pint, check with yur immediate supervisr r Being Onsite Activity Representative. In all cases, instructin and directins given by yur supervisr, security, r ther emergency respnse persnnel shall be fllwed. c. In the event f a building r site incident in which yu are asked t "shelter in place," fllw the psted directins, r directin frm the designated emergency respnse persnnel, t the clsest designated "shelter in place" lcatin. d. D nt leave the assembly pint r shelter in place lcatin until authrized t d s by Being Security & Fire Prtectin r lcal emergency respnse agencies. e. Ensure there is an effective means f cmmunicatin with all f yur emplyees and subcntractrs wrking at the site. 2.2 Emergency Ntificatin Immediately reprt all emergency and significant incident situatins t the Being emergency number listed n page i f this bklet and yur Being Onsite Activity Representative. Yu must knw the building number, grid/clumn line number, flr level, and dr number. Remember: d nt hang up until the dispatcher tells yu t d s. Yu are a vital link in the emergency respnse and must relay changes in the state f the emergency. Emergency and significant incident are defined as fllws. a. Emergency: Any event requiring emergency persnnel and equipment, including but nt limited t: Visible flame, smke, nxius drs r nise that may attract the attentin f the surrunding cmmunity r that results in the evacuatin f persnnel. 11 Emergency Prcedures Envirnmental spills r releases. b. Significant Incident: Any event invlving ne r mre f the fllwing. Death, serius injury, r expsure f an individual t hazardus substances that requires attentin beynd first aid, hspitalizatin, r results in permanent impairment. 12 3.0 FIRE PREVENTION 3.1 Fire Extinguishers a. As required and apprved by the Being Fire Department r a Being Security and Fire representative, all Service Prviders shall prvide their wn Factry Mutual (FM) Apprved r Underwriters Labratry (UL) Listed prtable fire extinguishers in gd wrking rder. Fire extinguishers apprved by the Being Fire Department r a Security and Fire representative fr the specific hazards f the lcatin must be readily accessible in the immediate area. b. All fire extinguisher activatins must be reprted immediately and treated as an emergency. 3.2 General Husekeeping a. Being trash receptacles shall nt be used fr cnstructin debris. b. All cnstructin trash and debris receptacles shall be lcated away frm any Being building r structure. If cnstructin chutes are required, the lcatin and design f the chute shall be apprved by the Being Fire Department r a Being Security and Fire representative. Crdinate with the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. c. All wrk areas shall be maintained in a clean state. Clean up and remve trash, scrap, excess materials, and ther debris. This shall be dne at least daily and whenever the accumulatin cnstitutes a fire hazard. d. Burning f trash is prhibited. e. Wd, sawdust, r shavings shall nt be used as absrbents fr spilled flammable r cmbustible liquids r petrleum lubricants. 3.3 Equipment Requirements a. All equipment must be perated in accrdance with the manufacturer's instructin manual. b. All pwered equipment shall be refueled utdrs, away frm strm drains and clear f structures, with engines shut ff. Spill cntainment must be prvided fr equipment fueling. Spill clean up kits must be available at refueling lcatins. c. Electrical equipment used in areas where flammable atmspheres (vaprs, dusts, r mists) may exist shall have apprpriate Natinal Fire Prtectin Assciatin (NFPA) class and divisin ratings fr explsin prfing. e. Air mnitring shall be cnducted, as necessary, t check fr hazardus emissins frm pwered equipment perating within buildings, excavatins, r enclsed structures. Mnitring results shall be available fr review if requested by Being. 3.4 Flammable Liquids a. The Service Prvider shall cmply with all safety regulatins and cdes pertaining t labeling, handling, and strage f flammable and cmbustible prducts. b. Flammable liquids shall nt be used r stred inside Being buildings unless cntained in an FM Apprved, UL Listed r Being-apprved cntainer and nly in quantities needed t accmplish the immediate tasks. c. Effective methds f spill retentin, cntainment, and cleanup f materials are required. d. Cntainers and dispensing apparatus shall be electrically bnded and grunded when dispensing r transferring flammable liquids, except fr prtable cntainers less than five gallns in capacity. e. Prtable flammable liquid cntainers five gallns r greater in size must be f metal cnstructin. f. Service Prvider flammable liquid strage lcatins must be apprved thrugh the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. 3.5 Spray Painting, Flammable Resins,Chemicals a. Inspectin and written apprval are required befre painting, including spray painting r cleaning with flammable materials. Additinal crdinatin is required. b. All electrical equipment shall be rated fr Class I, Divisin 1 lcatins where flammable r cmbustible liquids are sprayed. Spray peratins shall be cnducted in well ventilated, unccupied areas. 14 Fire Preventin c. Only explsin-rated r intrinsically safe electrical equipment, including frklift trucks that are, fr example, EE r EX rated, shall be used in hazardus lcatins, such as flight hangars, paint bths, and tank lines. Additinal crdinatin is required. d. A minimum distance f 20 feet frm ignitin surces is required. 3.6 Strage f Cmbustible Materials Cntact the Onsite Activity Representative t btain apprval fr the strage f cmbustible materials. Additinal crdinatin is required. 3.7 Welding/Cutting Activities a. A Being ht-wrk permit is required befre perfrming all pen-flame, welding, r spark-prducing wrk. b. Crdinate with the Being Onsite Activity Representative regarding ht wrk permit requirements at yur lcatin. c. Fire-retardant prtective materials (such as fire blankets) shall be used t cntain sparks and prevent them frm falling against walls, n wden flrs, thrugh flring, n cmbustibles r valuable materials and equipment, r int hidden spaces. d. Flash shields, fire-resistive curtains, r ther suitable shields shall be placed arund the ht wrk area t prtect any adjacent persnnel frm sparks and arc flash. e. All flammable materials shall be a minimum f 35 feet away frm ht wrk areas. f. Arc welding machines with the ptential t interfere with implanted medical devices shall be psted with an apprpriate hazard warning. g. Lcal ventilatin is required fr welding peratins that will generate welding fumes inside the building. Crdinate with Being Onsite Activities Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. h. Service Prviders shall prvide their wn FM Apprved r UL Listed prtable fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers apprved fr the specific hazards f the lcatin must be readily accessible and fully charged. 15 Fire Preventin i. The Service Prvider shall assign a fire watch fr any pen flame r spark prducing wrk. The fire watch shall trained in the use f prtable fire-fighting equipment. The fire watch shall be slely dedicated t the assigned activity and remain n standby a minimum f 30 minutes fllwing the end f any and all pen-flame activities. j. The assigned fire watch shall ntify the Being Fire Department, r ther agency that issued the ht wrk permit, upn cmpletin f wrk. Crdinate with the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. k. Ht-wrk permits shall be remved and destryed upn cmpletin f wrk r when they expire. 3.8 Fire Prtectin Systems a. Ntify the Being Onsite Activity Representative 24 hurs in advance f all prpsed requests fr fire prtectin system clsure r impairments. Additinal crdinatin is required. b. Being requests a 14 day ntice fr any nn-emergency fire system impairment event, but realizes situatins may arise where this is nt always pssible. Hwever, under n circumstance shall the ntice fr nn-emergency fire system impairment shut ff events be less than 7 days. Crdinate with the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. c. Befre using any fire hydrant r building standpipe system as a water supply, the Service Prvider must btain apprval thrugh the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. d. The Service Prvider shall verify with the Being Onsite Activity Representative that all fire-extinguishing prtectin systems (sprinklers) are peratinal in an area f welding and pen-flame cutting. Additinal crdinatin is required. 3.9 Temprary Structures and Enclsures a. A separatin f 25 feet shall be maintained between temprary buildings and strage areas and ther buildings r areas. All temprary installatins must have prir apprval by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Temprary walls r partitins shall be nncmbustible. Plastic r Visqueen film shall be fire resistive, UL Listed r FM Apprved, and meet the requirements f NFPA #701, "Standard Methds f Fire Tests fr Flame Prpagatin f Textiles and Films." 3.10 Rfing The Being Onsite Activity Representative shall be ntified in advance f all rf wrk invlving: welding; pen flame equipment; spark-prducing r ht wrk, r use f a heat gun, catings, slvents r chemicals, befre start f the wrk. Fire Preventin 4.1 Occupatinal Health and Safety Advisry Management Series (OHSAS) The fllwing is the Being Safety and Health Plicy. Being and its emplyees are cmmitted t: a. Cnduct peratins in cmpliance with applicable laws, regulatins and Being plicies and prcedures. b. Cntinually reduce ccupatinal injuries/illnesses by assessing, evaluating, cmmunicating, and cntrlling r eliminating ccupatinal health and safety risks. c. Cntinually imprve ur ccupatinal health and safety management system. d. Wrk tgether with ur stakehlders n activities that prmte ccupatinal health and safety. 4.2 Service Prvider persnnel must have knwledge f hw their actins may impact wrker safety and health and the cnsequences f nt fllwing prper prcedures and requirements. 4.3 Service Prviders at Being facilities must ensure that their emplyees are made aware f the Being Safety and Health Plicy. Fr mre infrmatin n the Being OHSAS prgram cntact yur Being Onsite Activity Representative. 4.4 Prject-Specific Safety Plans a. The Service Prvider shall prepare a written, prjectspecific safety plan with the details in the plan applicable fr wrk being perfrmed, and submit the plan t the Being Onsite Activity Representative, upn request, fr Being review. Prject-specific safety plans shall be available and cmmunicated at the lcatin where the wrk is being perfrmed. b. The Service Prvider shall submit t Being, n request, a cpy f its cmpany safety prgram. c. The Service Prvider shall prvide written ntificatin t the Being Onsite Activity Representative f the name and title f the Service Prvider's n-site safety representative fr the prject. d. Cntact yur Being Onsite Activity Representative fr additinal assistance. Additinal crdinatin is required. 4.5 Persnal Prtective Equipment a. The Service Prvider shall prvide their emplyees all required persnal prtective equipment (PPE) and ensure that it is used. Being des nt prvide PPE t Service Prvider persnnel. 11

18 Safety Requirements b. All PPE must cnfrm t applicable regulatry requirements and apprpriate industry standards. c. Examples f PPE are Industrial safety glasses with side shields Face prtectin Bdy prtectin Ear plugs and muffs Hard hats Glves and hand prtectin Full-bdy safety harness and lanyards 4.6 Hazard Cmmunicatin/Safety Data Sheets a. Being shall prvide, n request, the safety data sheet (SDS) fr any hazardus material under Being cntrl within the assigned wrk area. b. Befre any hazardus material arrives n site, the Service Prvider shall furnish t the Being Onsite Activity Representative the fllwing infrmatin n each hazardus material t be used: 1. The identity f each hazardus material; 2. An SDS fr each hazardus material; and 3. The quantity f each hazardus material t be used and/r stred n site. c. All hazardus material cntainers shall be prperly identified and labeled as t their cntents. Hazardus material cntainer labels must include: 1. The identity f the hazardus material; 2. The manufacturer f the hazardus material; and 3. Apprpriate hazard warnings d. The Service Prvider shall bring t the jb site nly the amunt f hazardus materials necessary fr the prject. 4.7 Electrical Safety a. All electrical incidents and near misses shall be reprted immediately t the Being Onsite Activity Representative. b. Equipment used by Service Prviders must be apprved by a natinally recgnized testing labratry. c. 19 Safety Requirements d. The Service Prvider must cmply with current OSHA and NFPA 70E standards fr safe wrk n r near energized electrical systems. Wrk n r near energized expsed mvable cnductrs (e.g., pwer lines) r energized equipment with expsed cnductrs perating at 50 vlts r greater, shall nly be dne when apprved in writing by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. e. Prtable electrical equipment (e.g., extensin crds, drills, etc.) shall be maintained in a safe wrking cnditin. f. Equipment, carts r ther items shall nt be stred in frnt f electrical panels r substatins g. Cmbustible materials shall nt be stred in any substatin r electrical rm. h. After cmpletin f wrk, substatins and electrical rms shall be secured t prevent unauthrized access. i. D nt daisy chain extensin crds. Extensin crds must be plugged directly int an apprved receptacle. j. Temprary pwer crds must be prtected frm damage. 4.8 Cntrl f Hazardus Energy a. Prir t shutdwn f any Being equipment, building system, r utility, the Service Prvider shall ntify the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. b. All equipment that culd present a hazard frm inadvertent activatin r release f energy during maintenance r servicing shall have the energy supply lcked ut and tagged except where the energy supply is needed fr testing, trubleshting, inspecting, r servicing equipment. c. Befre wrking n any energized system, the Service Prvider shall take the fllwing steps in accrdance with the Service Prvider's cmpany prcedures: 1. Refer t machine-specific instructins n cntrlling Multiple Energy Surces. 2. Islate the energy surces and release all energy r ptential energy (e.g., electrical [stred], gravity, kinetic, pressure, thermal, pneumatic, and hydraulic). 3. Install yur cmpany physical lckut device and lckut tag fr each affected emplyee. The Service Prvider shall physically barricade all excavatins, trenches, and perating excavatin equipment. e. Daily inspectins f excavatins, adjacent areas, and prtective systems shall be made by a cmpetent persn fr evidence f hazardus cnditins. Inspectins shall als be made after every rain strm r ther hazard-increasing ccurrence. Service Prviders must independently evaluate hazards presented by wrk in r near Permit Required Cnfined Spaces (PRCSs) and implement precautins and hazard cntrls necessary fr safe entry and wrk in PRCSs. Prir t entry, Service Prvider must cntact the identified rescue service prvider and ensure its availability. f. Rescue service cntact infrmatin must be readily available t PRCS persnnel. Additinal crdinatin is required. g. The Service Prvider shall have its written cnfined space entry prgram available at the wrk site and pst the cnfined-space entry permit at the pint f entry. h. Upn cmpletin f PRCS entry peratins, prvide a cpy f the clsed permit(s) t the Being Onsite Activity Representative. i. The Service Prvider will debrief the Being Onsite Activity Representative after the cnclusin f PRCS entry peratins. All Service Prvider emplyees shall be trained in, and be knwledgeable f, the Service Prviders' Prject Specific Envirnmental, Health and Safety Plan. c. Machines that prduce x-rays (x-ray machines, XRF units, etc.) are brught nsite. 5. Service Prviders wrk in any area restricted fr purpses f radiatin prtectin. 6. Service Prviders wrk with any radiactive material pssessed under a Being license Traffic Cntrl a. When delivering and receiving material, Service Prviders shall ensure that traffic cntrls are in place, including flaggers, truck waiting areas, staging areas, and apprpriate traffic guidance signs. b. If at any time a rad r ther traffic hazard (e.g., bstructins, pr lighting, etc.) exists that impacts drivers, pedestrians, r material handling activities, Service Prvider must place bvius warning devices in rder t alert affected peple/vehicles appraching the hazard. These warning devices shall remain in place until the hazard is mitigated. Fr all traffic cntrl issues, crdinate with yur Being Onsite Activity Representative. Service Prviders at Being facilities that are ISO certified must ensure that their emplyees are made aware f the Being Envirnmental Plicy and written prcedures established fr activities, prducts, and services necessary t prtect the envirnment. b. The fllwing is the Being Envirnmental Plicy. Being is cmmitted t: 1. Cnduct peratins in cmpliance with applicable envirnmental laws, regulatins, and Being plicies and prcedures. 2. Prevent pllutin by cnserving energy and resurces, recycling, reducing waste and pursuing ther surce reductin strategies. 3. Cntinually imprve ur envirnmental management system. 4. Wrk tgether with ur stakehlders n activities that prmte envirnmental prtectin and stewardship. c. Service Prviders must be familiar with and cmply with the Being Envirnmental Plicy and have knwledge f hw their actins may impact the envirnment, and the cnsequences f nt fllwing prper prcedures. Fr mre infrmatin n the ISO prgram cntact yur Being Onsite Activity Representative. 5.2 Hazardus Materials a. Hazardus materials stred n Being sites shall be labeled, stred under cver, in cntainment, and be segregated with regard t material cmpatibility. Secndary cntainment must be prvided fr peratins invlving the transfer (e.g., puring, pumping, r dispensing) f hazardus materials. c. Being dispses f all hazardus waste, including universal waste, used ils, etc. that is generated n its prperty, regardless f the party that generates the waste. Service Prviders shall nt take hazardus waste ff site. If the Service Prvider needs assistance with hazardus waste management, establishing a waste accumulatin pint r cmplying with hazardus waste regulatins, cntact the Being Onsite Activity Representative. 2. All hazardus waste generated by the Service Prvider shall be prperly segregated, cntainerized, and labeled by the Service Prvider, as directed by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. 3. Keep all waste cntainers clsed between waste additins t cntainers. 4. Mnitr yur waste statins n a daily basis. Inspect the statins fr leaks and full cntainers f waste. Reprt any issues such as spills, bulging cntainers, etc. t the Being Onsite Activity Representative. 5. When a waste drum becmes full, it must be immediately remved frm the wrk site as directed by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Never dump r discharge hazardus waste int strm drains, building sanitary sewer drains, rest rms r slid-waste cntainers. c. Nn hazardus waste as defined by federal r state regulatin. Additinal crdinatin is required. 5.4 Suspect Materials a. Asbests Awareness 1. Ntify the Being Onsite Activity Representative prir t cnducting activities that may disturb asbests. Additinal crdinatin is required. 2. Being prject lcatins may cntain asbests-cntaining materials. Prir t the start f wrk, btain a written asbests determinatin/survey frm the Being Onsite Activity Representative regarding the presence r absence f asbestscntaining materials (ACM) assciated with the wrk. 3. Abatement f all ACM affected by the prject shall be crdinated by the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. 4. If, after the prject cmmences, the Service Prvider discvers a pssible asbests disturbance, new suspect materials, r there is a change in the scpe f wrk r affected area f wrk, stp wrk immediately and ntify the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Operatins r prcesses that may cause lead expsure include but are nt limited t: i. Spray painting with paints cntaining lead. ii. Grinding, sanding, r welding n lead-based paints. iii. Sldering activities. iv. Demlitin f xidized lead shielding. 5. Lead cntaining paint shall be remved befre Service Prvider prceeds with any grinding, sanding, r welding activities. 6. The Service Prvider shall prepare a written plan fr lead abatement activities and prvide that plan t Being upn request. Additinal crdinatin is required. 8. If, after the prject cmmences, the Service Prvider discvers a pssible lead-cntaining material disturbance r new suspect material, wrk shall stp immediately until the Being Onsite Activity Representative can determine the next curse f actin. c. Sils and Remediatin 1. Final dispsitin f all sil shall be crdinated thrugh the Being Onsite Activity Representative. Additinal crdinatin is required. 2.
