2 The Prez Sez Fall is in full swing. Jack-O-Lanterns are out, pumpkin spice insert favorite drink is available and the warm summer days are fading. All of which means we are getting close to the start of ski/ board season. I m certain that some of you are thinking about new or newer equipment this year. This is the perfect time to visit your local ski/board shop and check out the new gear available this season. Don t forget to also consider local ski/board swaps for gently used equipment. This is of particular interest to those with growing children or anyone new to winter sports that s not ready to invest in new equipment. If you decide to purchase some shiny new or gently used equipment this year, I m certain you ll be anxious to hit the slopes. Before hitting the slopes, you should have any equipment new or used inspected by a professional each year to ensure proper and safe operation. Having your equipment tuned and inspected can not only keep your equipment working longer but can also prevent serious injury. Now is the perfect time to visit a local professional and get those ski s/boards waxed and bindings adjusted so you are ready for the season. I hope everyone had fun at the Meet the Mountains Central PA event. It probably feels like that event just wrapped up but don t worry another is around the corner. Don t forget to mark your calendars for the November 15 th membership meeting which will be held at the Heritage Hotel located behind Loxley s Restaurant. I hope everyone is enjoying the new location for this year s membership meetings. Be sure to check our website, monthly flyers and blasts for news on upcoming happy hours, special events, next year's ski trips and other exciting activities. I hope to see you all soon, think snow!
