We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you, who have already been putting in hours of hard work to get this event up and running! We are so excited to bring the world to North Bay for the 2018 Ford World Women s Championship and we know we could not do it without you. Important Dates: Here are some important dates you will want for to write down on your calendar! Monday, March 5th - Office set up at Memorial Gardens Sunday, March 11th - Building setup begins at Memorial Gardens This includes ice installation, construction of the media bench, show services set up, and more! Friday, March 16th - Volunteer Appreciation Party & Sponsors Banquet Volunteer Appreciation Party takes place at the Granite Club Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and food service starts at 7:30 p.m. Dress code: business casual. Kick off the event with your fellow volunteers and mix and mingle with the athletes! Have you RSVP d? If you aren t sure, check with your director. Saturday, March 17th - Opening Ceremonies 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Open to the public - let your friends and family know that they should be there to celebrate the official opening of the Ford World Women s Curling Championship. If you are not scheduled for a shift, make sure to come join us! Saturday, March 17th - Draw #1 Featuring Team kicks off the tournament right away with a 2:00 p.m. game vs. Czech Republic
