3 About the Wave Games Following La Torche Windsurf in 2014 and 2016, the Terre de Glisse team is bringing a new concept of watersports competition to Pays Bigouden. The best French and international riders will face off in intense and spectacular competition. Including stand-up paddle, surf, and windsurf, we will compete hard every day no matter the weather. Inspired by the X-Games, our mission for the Wave Games is to create one of the greatest international surf sports events of all time.

4 About the Spot General information: La Torche is a surf spot, where the summer temperature ranges between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius. In the winter the temperature is between 10 and 13 degrees C. Warm wetsuits and clothing are required to surf this spot. Wave orientation and type: WEST The waves of this spot are medium sized, long, and regular. The bottom is sandy with the occasional rock hazard to either side. Wind Orientation For surfing, the best wind direction is easterly (NE-SE). This is not a sheltered spot and if the wind comes up, it can make the spot less surfable. Best conditions for surfing : The spot is surfable year-round. Sometimes, it can be hard to predict the conditions before arrival. Waves can be violent and can reach a size of meters. 5 Logistical informations Brest -> Quimper : 45 min Quimper -> La Torche : 45 min Rennes -> Quimper : 2H Nantes -> Quimper : 2H Paris-> Brest : 1H Paris-> Quimper : 1H By Air : The airport Brest-Bretagne (BES) has 11 connections each day with Paris and other major French cities including Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse, and Nice. There are also other international connections from major European cities. By Train: Brest is a major stop on the French national train routes (SNCF) and also regional express trains. By Car : RN 165 connects Nantes and Brest, and southwest France. Between Nantes and Quimper the route is easy to follow and fast.

6 Réglement Registration: Registration opens March 1, 2018 on the site and 16 places are open for each category of competition: Kitesurf, Windsurf, Surf, and Paddle. Age minimum: 16 years old before October 1, 2018 Sailing License: For French nationals, a 2018 license from the Federation Francaise de Voile, Voile Libre, or Surf is mandatory. A medical certificate is not necessary with the presentation of a license. For international competitors, an insurance document must be submitted with registration. Completed documents obligatory : Uncompleted registration does not validate your place in the competition. A completed registration, including all documents and payment, is necessary to secure a place. In the case that too many racers have registered for an event, the organization will select registrants based on performance and good sportsmanship at previous events. The final list of competitors will be posted September 5, Identification of participants: Racers will wear a lycra printed with their name and event. Selection criteria: There are three different statuses of competitor: 1. Competitors invited under contract 2. Competitors registered for Overall 3. Competitors registered under a single discipline Anticipated quotas are as follows. Quotas will be re-adjusted according to demand. On-site registration, receipt of Lycras, briefing: The presence of each competitor for the on-site confirmation of registration, receipt of Lycra, and a briefing, is obligatory. Registration fee: In the case of non-participation or cancellation, the registration fee is non-refundable. Once the fee is

7 Concept de compétition The Wave Games objective is to showcase the broad diversity of surf sports. In welcoming the disciplines of surfing, stand-up paddle surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding to La Torche, we will bring together the watersports community in a grand celebration. Nine days of all kinds of surf competition will make this amazing festival possible. October 20-26: La Torche takes off with competition in every discipline. The concept is simple: Over 7 days of competition, the organization team will accommodate four sports represented by 16 riders in each discipline. The ranking in individual competitions will be the base of the overall ranking. The racers participating in three disciplines minimum will be ranked in the overall competition King of the Wave. The cumulative points of each racer s three best results will be used to select the three winning wave riders. In the case of participation in all four disciplines, the worst finish will be excluded from results. Under this system, the organizers will welcome 16 riders per discipline, divided into three different classifications: Racers invited by the organizers Racers registered in a single discipline Racers registered in Overall. October 27-28: Team Race France against the rest of the world The organizers wish to organize a team race on the last weekend of the Wave Games. Each team will be composed of a man and a woman under each discipline. Eight competitors will represent France, and eight will represent international athletes. All the results of the team race count for the overall ranking, and in the case of a tie, the women s results will be used as the tie breaker. We hope this new format will add a suspenseful and emotional element to the competition, capturing the imagination of the public.

This includes the appropriate circulation of photos, videos, audio recordings, and other reproductions of myself taken during the Wave Games. I certify, conforming to the internal medical regulations of my sports federation, that my state of health has not changed since the date of my federation s medical certificate, if not, the date of the Wave Games medical certificate, and I do not pose a medical risk in practice and competition in windsurfing, kiteboarding, surfing, or stand-up paddle.
