Aidan Brighouse, Nick Shelley, Cooper Drew, Flynn Drew, Alex Smith, Milly Bonassi, Aiden Serifovic, Jay Calter, Norbert Zielinski, Elysha Lowe and Gabby Henzell all took part in a successful outing. Several of our players came back home with silverware: Aidan Brighouse, playing some of his best ever tennis won the 17 and under boys singles against some very strong opposition. Norbert Zielinksi (Right) Elysha Lowe won the 15 & under girls singles. Norbert Zielinski was runner-up in the 11 boys singles, with a win in the 11 boy s doubles. Elysha Lowe (Right) Gabby Henzell won the 13 girls doubles and was singles runner-up. Jay Calter came runner-up in the Green Ball event. Gabby Henzell (Right) Aidan Brighouse 2 Jay Calter

TUESDAY SINGLES GRAND FINAL Great night of tennis again for Grand final night...some shock results and great efforts. RESULTS Div 1 1st Semi Trent Drew Def Lior Erlich 8-7 (3) 2nd Semi Jack Dixon Def Ash Self 8-6 Trent Def Jack in the Final Div 2 1st Semi Carter Mellor Def Jarod Sargent 8-7 (5) 2nd Semi Aidan Brighouse Def Marc Newman 8-0 Aidan Def Carter in the Final Div 3 1st Semi Jenny Marks Def Tina Kesseler 8-0 2nd Semi Matt Carr-Lord Def Mai Daisey 8-2 Jenny Def Matt in the Final Next Season will begin in week 2 of Term 3 24th July 3

DIVISION 1 GRAND FINAL WRAP Federer (Ben Rumble, Jack Dixon, Jarod Sargent, Kaaren Lausen) takes the title for Season and Murray (Michael Poulos, Cameron Poulos, Wayne Smith, Kathy Dance) can consider themselves very unlucky for the 3rd week in a row losing by the smallest margin just 1 game, 4-23 to 4-22 in a cracking highquality Grand Final. The battle was intense right up until the last point but Federer showed why they were minor premiers and took out the title. All players played extremely well with a special mention to both teams No. 2 players Jack Dixon & Cam Poulos really striking the ball well all night. In the 3rd/4th playoff Djokovic handed Hewitt a lesson 6-2 while the battle for the Wooden Spoon intensified to a thrilling finish with cellar-dweller Nadal getting up off the canvas to deliver another season's blow to clinch the win on games and send Wawrinka to the basement to collect their spoons 4-27 to A great fun season had by everyone with all teams from top to bottom being competitive every week. Next season kicks off in week 3 of Term 3 4

DIVISION 2 GRAND FINAL WRAP It was Stocklands'(Jess Knott, Mark Stephens, Glenn Harkness, Matt Patterson, Paul McDonald, Robyn McClusky), title to lose and they brought their A-game and A-team and made short work of the Spartans (Sue McDonagh, Grant McDonagh, Greg De Wet, Ruth Devlin) in a great display that left the Spartans stunned taking the Grand final well done to Stockland going back-to-back. In the play-off rounds Crushers finished their season well taking 3rd spot with a 5-3 win over Coasters and in a 5th / 6th play-off upset, the Cellar-dwellers Mixtures got it done over Storm to finish the season in 5th place handing the wooden spoon to the Storm. Great season everyone we look forward to next season starting just after the June/July school holidays 5

RED AND ORANGE TOURNAMENT DAY May 27. What a great day! The kids of Caloundra had a spectacular day of tennis and fun in the Red and Orange Ball tournaments held at our Sunshine Coast Regional Tennis Centre. With a combination of current comp players and some fresh new faces starting their tennis tournament life, we had a day of great effort, fantastic attitude and some seriously good tennis. This tournament day showed the coaches, parents and players alike, how well they can play when placed under real match conditions. This bodes well for all players looking to join the Orange Ball comp on a Wednesday and the Red Ball comp on a Friday. Whilst fun the day, it was still such we had some the trophies at day s was the reason behind a tournament and as healthy competition for end. The Red Ball division one saw our usual suspects in Andrew Mather and Eva Williams come winner and runner-up. These guys are sensational players and will need a big trophy room if this form keeps up! Charlie Simm came in third spot, with Jacynta O Neill and Tahnee Sanim in equal fourth. The division two saw all new players to comp style tennis and they did amazingly well for their first time. Piper Gregson took home first place, two points ahead of Jersey Pollard. The rest of the field was very even, with Abbi Edwards just sneaking into third place. The Orange Ball event saw a massive finish with cutthroat competition once we were down to the semi-final stage. In the end Elliot Coghlan took the title with a hard fought win over Bryson Stevens in the final. This was after the equally impressive Drew Duncan and Harrison Teague bowed out in close semi-final matches. A big congrats also to our tremendous helpers in Trent, Joe, Jarod, Eva and Cam who made the day a fantastic success. 6

VETS LEGENDS Congratulations Michell Noffke and Penny McGaughran who took out the over 35 s doubles title in the recent Nambour vet s titles. Great reward for lots of time on court mastering the game. Great work girls! 7
