Her passion is Kinesis and comes to GTAC with almost 5 years experience in Kinesis Training. Maryalice and her husband Barry will celebrate 15 years of marriage next May. They have two daughters Hannah (14) who is a freshman at Memorial High and Cammie (11) who attends Memorial Junior. The entire Haest family are avid tennis players and are excited about being a part of the GTAC family.

All levels of ladies are invited and players do not need a partner to sign up. Cost is $25.00 per Member and $30.00 per guest which includes refreshments. The festivities begin on the tennis courts at 5:00 and participants may come and go any time between 5:00-7:00. Snacks and drinks will be provided at 7:00 pm and costumes are encouraged. 7 P A G E 7 GTAC at US Open Yes, that was GTAC s Niclas Kroon on TV during the U.S. Open men s quarterfinal match between Stanislas Wawrinka and Mikail Youhzney. Niclas was sitting in the players box with his good friend, Peter Lundgren (Wawrinka s coach). They have been friends since their junior tennis days in Sweden. Niclas and Peter traveled together when they both played on the ATP Tour in the mid-80 s to mid-90 s. They often played doubles together, and won a doubles title in Chicago in 1990 at the Volvo tennis tournament. Peter began his coaching career with Marcelo Rios, taking him to the top 10. He then began working for the Swiss Tennis Federation helping with their junior program. It was there that he met Roger Federer and became Roger s coach when he turned pro. They came to Houston for the River Oaks Tournament when Roger was only 17. Niclas met him, thought he was very immature, and told Lungren that Roger would never be a top player. Lundgren replied You have to see him play. After a few minutes of watching them practice, Niclas told Peter that Federer would be #1 in the world (he had just broken into the top 100 at the time) and would win 18 Grand Slams (getting close). Lundgren stayed with Federer until the end of 2003 when Roger reached #2 in the rankings. During this time, Roger won his first Wimbledon title. After Federer, Lundgren coached Marat Safin, who won the Australian Open in 2005 and beat Federer on the way to the title. Peter then worked for the British Davis Cup team, and later coached Marcos Baghdatis, Grigor Dimitriv, and now Wawrinka.
