Biglerville Walking/Biking Trail: This project involves the construction of a walking/biking trail to connect existing trails in Oakside Community Park to the Upper Adams High School & various Borough establishments. SR 837 Pedestrian and Student Safety Initiative: The East Carson Street Pedestrian & Student Safety Initiative emphasizes the historic business district & provides an improved pedestrian and bicycle linkage between nearby Phillips Elementary & the historic Carnegie Library branch. Oakland's Forbes/Fifth Avenue Pedestrian Safety and Mobility Improvements - Phase 2: This project involves the reconstruction of two Forbes Avenue intersections. It includes new crosswalks, traffic control poles, street lights with banners & basket attachments, ped wayfinder signs, vender corals, & sidewalks. New street lighting with banners & baskets along the entire street from McKee to the University foot bridge east of Bouquet will also be included. Underpasses at Anderson & Sandusky Streets: This project involves the enhancement of the Anderson & Sandusky Street underpasses. The improvement of these two underpasses will provide a critical physical pedestrian connection between the North Shore & North Side communities. Fifth Avenue - McKeesport: This project is part of a comprehensive revitalization to the downtown district of McKeesport. It includes implementing a streetscape enhancement program for Fifth Avenue. Mon Wharf Landing & Smithfield Street Switchback: The Smithfield Street Bridge Switchback is a vertical connection linking the Eliza Furnace Trail, the Smithfield Street Bridge, & the "Mon Wharf Landing." The transformation of the Mon Wharf parking deck into a green trail linking Point State Park to the Great Allegheny Passage. Convention Center Riverfront Park: The project will develop a currently inaccessible stretch of urban shoreline between the Convention Center & the Allegheny River into an active public green space, opening it to walkers, runners, bicyclists & others traveling throughout the city. Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh $1,000,000 H Brentwood Borough Public Stair Repair Project: The Brentwood Borough School District does NOT offer transportation to students. The Borough of Brentwood maintains a Borough of Brentwood number of public "Stairs" accessed daily by children. This project proposes to reconstruct 3 $163,628 H public stairways. Apollo Borough Downtown Beautification and Pedestrian Safety Initiative: The emphasis of the project will be to restore a gateway where traffic enters the Borough on the Apollo Borough PA Rt.66 Bridge & to increase the safety & experience of pedestrians in the gateway area. $714,338 H Ford Street Improvements Project: The project consists of streetscape improvements to replace sidewalk, curb cuts, delineated brick crosswalks, street trees & streetlights. Ford City Borough $305,275 H 13 Armstrong Armstrong Trail Enhancements/Safe Routes to School Project: This project will include an ADA accessible ramp from the Armstrong Trail to the Senior High School with ADA curb cuts & sidewalk improvements from the trail to the school as well as crosswalk painting & improvements. There will also be ADA curb cuts & sidewalk improvements from the trail to the Middle School & crosswalk painting and improvements. Kittanning Borough $215,986 S 14 Beaver 15 Bedford 16 Bedford 17 Berks Aliquippa School District Pedestrian Trails Project: There are currently two trails that provide a walkway from the streets below to the Aliquippa High School. This project will replace the trails with a safe and modern design. Downtown Bedford Streetscape Improvement Project: The major components of the project are relocation of utilities to alleyways, pedestrian-friendly decorative lampposts and lights, and sidewalk improvements. Hyndman Borough "Safe Routes to School": This project includes the Installation of sidewalks & curbing near the school campus in Hyndman Borough in areas where there are currently no sidewalks or curbing. It will also add crosswalks & safety lights near the schools. Penn Avenue Streetscape Enhancement Project (SEP) Phase 5: This project will complete the landscaping of the community "gateway". Other gateway landscaping will include sidewalk planting strips & raised medians. Planting areas along Penn Avenue, in & around the traffic circle & permanently installed planters at locations along Penn Avenue. Landscaping including accent plants, rock, and shrubbery will enhance the aesthetic beauty of this project. Ward Avenue curb and sidewalk project: This project includes the construction of a curb & sidewalk along portions of Ward Avenue between Logan Boulevard & Union Avenue. Towanda Borough Streetscape - Phase 4: Thos project is a continuation of a comprehensive streetscape program associated with the Towanda Borough Central Business District Public Improvements Plan by adding critical pedestrian/bicyclist facilities, signage, street lighting, sidewalks and landscaping. Route 13 Redevelopment Project: Croydon Section: This project involves a complete rehabilitation of the Croydon business district. This project will serve as the impetus to completing redevelopment efforts along the entire 11-mile corridor in the study area. It will Increase pedestrian access by re-configuring & landscaping the central triangle dividing East & West Broad Street & encouraging more appropriate downtown parking options. Borough of Quakertown $482,755 H SR# 413- Langhorne Boro Hometown Streets & Safe Routes to School- Phase 1: This project involves creating an attractive, safe walkable environment encourages walking, bicycling & the use of public transportation which helps to reduce traffic Borough of Langhorne $280,712 S congestion & increase retail trade Doylestown Borough Safe Routes to School: This project includes the installation of new curb, sidewalk & curb ramps where none exist in the vicinity of Linden Elementary Borough of Doylestown $201,250 S School in Doylestown Borough. Rochester Road Pedestrian Corridor Enhancement Project: This project will consist of a section of sidewalk & decorative crosswalks that will connect the new Traditional Cranberry Township $143,750 S Neighborhood Development with Haine School & the Township Facilities. Highland Avenue School Corridor: This project includes the replacement of curb & sidewalk & extending new sidewalk segments to provide safe & accessible route connecting the Central Cambria High & Elementary School Complex, the Central Cambria Middle School, Holy Name Elementary School, Ebensburg Library while connecting all Ebensburg Borough $430,000 S complexes to other sidewalk projects in downtown and residential neighborhoods. Operation Safe Kids: This project includes the construction of a multi-use trail installed from the Phoenixville Area School District High School & Middle School to the YMCA. The proposed multi-use trail, including a creek crossing & traffic signal modifications will provide safe passage for students and nearby residents. Lincoln Highway Streetscapes Project: This project includes the construction of curbing, sidewalks, & streetscapes improvements along Lincoln Highway adjacent to the Thorndale Shopping Center. It will provide a continuous sidewalk from the Thorndale Train station to G O Carlson Blvd. creating a continuous pedestrian loop around the center of Thorndale. Phoenixville Streetscape Project: The proposed historic streetscape project will enhance the historic downtown District in Phoenixville. The enhancements include streetlights, trash receptacles and benches, new sidewalks and curbs to enhance the downtown. Church Street Streetscape Project: The project will replace aging deteriorated streetscape infrastructure in downtown West Chester. It will include installation of new sidewalks, curbs, pedestrian style streetlighting, street furniture, street trees, planters, handicap ramps, storm water inlets where necessary. Rimersburg Borough Safe-Routes-To-School Project: The project involves the installation of sidewalks along Borough-owned streets for students at both the Rimersburg Elementary & Union High School. This project will address a major safety concern for the Borough & Union School District Memorial Park on Main Street: This project is to install, upgrade, and bring into ADA compliance the pedestrian walkways along with the base pads for the benches, new benches and waste receptacles and installation of planting beds. Bellefonte Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project - Phase 6: This Streetscape improvements include: brick sidewalks, curbing, ornamental street lights, trees and tree grates. This project represents Phase 6 of a Downtown Streetscape Improvement Project. 5 37 Cumberland 38 Dauphin 39 Dauphin 40 Dauphin 41 Dauphin 42 Delaware 43 Delaware 44 Delaware Refurbishment of the Camp Hill Borough Underpasses at 27th and 24th Streets: Repair and refurbish the existing underpasses as well as upgrade the entrances and exits to be ADA compliant. In addition, all electrical conduits and fixtures need to be replaced as does the stormwater drainage piping. Derry and 40th Street Safety Improvements: The project involves increasing the sidewalk width on Derry Street from 4 to 8 feet, installing crosswalks on Derry Street and on 40th Street, adding pedestrian-scale lighting, regrading the 40th St driveways to meet ADA requirements, and installing sidewalks to the school's recreation area. Safe Routes to School Crosswalk Project: This Project would update 43 existing crosswalks around 13 schools in the City of Harrisburg. Crosswalks will be updated from simple painted lines to highly visible thermoplastic. The Walnut Street Bridge Project: The project involves the completion of the design work and approximately $15 million in construction work for the replacement of the missing spans of the Walnut Street Bridge in Dauphin County, as well as the rehabilitation of the remaining spans west of City Island. Mulberry Street Bridge Streetlight Restoration: This Project involves the replacement of the existing fixtures with historic style light standards, including the electrical distribution system. Parapet walls will be replaced with walls that resemble the originals, and a low concrete safety barrier will be constructed at the curb. AMTRAK Footbridge Repairs (Rosemont & W. Hinckley Avenues): Remedial repairs to the AMTRAK Footbridge located in Ridley Park. The work includes removal and replacement of steel treads and risers, removal and replacement of metal handrails, and replacement of concrete walk. Lincoln Avenue Renaissance Project: Improving the visual edges of Lincoln Ave. by installing plantings and small markers such as decorative fencing. Improvements to the SEPTA train station landscaping will be implemented. Additional improvements include street lights, furniture, benches, trash receptacles, sign posts, street name signs, and minor sidewalk and curb repair. Providence Road Pedestrian project (phase 2): The project is phase 2 of a pedestrian sidewalk installation project on Providence Road, consists of the installation of 875' of sidewalk on Providence Road and School Lane to facilitate pedestrian and student travel. Construct a pedestrian underpass at the CSX railroad tracks. Stabilize and install a retaining wall along eastern side of Knowles Ave.to stop the erosion and protect the new sidewalks. 6 46 Elk 47 Erie 48 Erie 49 Erie Wilcox Streetscape Improvement Project (Phase II): Sidewalk replacement and other streetscape improvements in the village of Wilcox, including: tree planting, cross-walk enhancement, benches, street lights and storm sewerage. Elk Valley Safe Route to School: This project includes installing 1,425 feet of sidewalk around the Elk Valley Elementary School, to provide a safe walking route to school for our youngest students. Erie Downtown Beautification Project: The purpose of the project is to beautify downtown Erie's landscape with hanging baskets, banners, trash receptacles, gateway planters and lights posts that are consistent with thematic districts. Waterford Borough Sidewalk Improvements Project: Removal and replacement of deteriorated sidewalks and installation of new sidewalks in order to provide a safe and orderly connection between the Fort LeBoeuf School complex and the residential areas surrounding the school for children and parents of walking students in Waterford Borough. This project will include the removal of existing sidewalks, replacement of curb and driveway aprons and will include amenities for beautification purposes. Girard Borough Main Street Improvements Project: Improvements to Girard Borough's Commercial District along Main Street, including removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete sidewalks, street tree plantings and landscaping, placement of benches and trash receptacles, period lighting improvements (i.e. replacement of light poles and fixtures), traffic calming measures, including crosswalks and the restoration of the Civil War Monument. Downtown Light Fixture Replacement: Home Town Streets Program to replace 22 street light fixtures along the Lincoln Highway (U.S. 30) and Molly Pitcher Highway (U.S. 11). State Route 21 High Street Waynesburg Streetscape Enhancements: Waynesburg Borough in partnership with Waynesburg Prosperous & Beautiful, proposes to implement phase one of a two-phase project in the Central Business District, encompassing four blocks between Cumberland-east and Washington Streets-west. Included are new curbs and sidewalks, decorative streetlighting, exposed aggregate concrete, brick, block and flagstone pavers, steel planters, street trees. Borough of Indiana $994,750 H Brookville Borough Safe Routes To School Program (Phase Two): Restoration and construction of existing and proposed sidewalks and curbing along identified pedestrian corridors in Brookville Borough. The goal of the program is to reduce existing hazardous Borough of Brookville $318,750 S walking routes with in the Brookville Area School District. Lackawanna College Safety and Beautification Project: Continuing the Urban Renaissance: The project will provide additional lighting along Vine Street and onto Wyoming Avenue for the purpose of increased safety. The project will also continue the Lackawanna College $26,923 H beautification of this historic district by installing decorative lighting matching that seen throughout the downtown area. Jermyn Borough Community Revitalization Project: Bridging Past and Present in this Historic Community: Revitalize the downtown section through the installation of new sidewalks, crosswalks, curbing, decorative lighting, and tree pits/growing zone trenches Jermyn Borough $536,000 H and soil for future tree plantings, in order to beautify the borough and restore the downtown. City of Carbondale Streetscape Project: The City of Carbondale proposes a Streetscape Project to coincide with both the South and North Main Street Redevelopment City of Carbondale Projects. The City of Carbondale Streetscape project will include new sidewalks, new $428,999 H period style lighting, trees, benches, and trash receptacles. Broad Street/Second Avenue and Broad Street/Sixth Street Improvements Project: Intersections will be improved to include pedestrian signalization, crosswalk improvements, Borough of Lititz street furnishings (benches and trash receptacles), and street trees. $248,000 H Columbia Safe Routes to Schools: This project will construct sidewalks to allow students safe access to school. In addition to walkway improvements and handicap ramps, traffic calming will be used at intersections where vehicular volume and speed pose a hazard to students walking to and from school. East King Street Corridor Streetscape Enhancement Project: This project will enhance the streetscape and improve safety along East King Street by installing trash receptacles, planting trees in existing empty tree wells, repairing sidewalks, and improving lighting. 8 62 Lancaster Elizabethtown's Center Square Improvement Project: Elizabethtown's Streetscape Plan will connect the Main Street Corridor with the Amtrak Station, Sycamore Square and Masterfoods, USA. It is a pedestrian, bike and vehicular friendly plan that will encourage more walking and biking traffic to and from the downtown and beyond. The two activities which eligible for funding include streetscaping on Lawrence Avenue from 9th Ellwood City Borough $487,600 H to 11th Streets and the railroad underpass on Fifth Street. Seventh Street Hometown Streets, Completion of North Seventh Street: Project includes lighting on 3 blocks,chew to Linden Streets, along Allentown's N.7th Street, and City of Allentown $563,500 H kiosks for various 7th Street locations. George Avenue Safe Routes Project: This project will involve the installation of broken and missing sidewalks, along pedestrian path of George Avenue (south side), also, City of Wilkes-Barre $70,725 S appropriate signage and ADA compliance regulations will be adhered to. Caughlin Street - Improvements: The project is to establish pedestrian lighting and sidewalks in an area based on pedestrian traffic and the need to better light the area. City of Wilkes-Barre $570,000 H East Lycoming School District Safe Routes to School: This project will eliminate safety hazards and promote children's health by constructing a new sidewalk/bicycle use area and a sidewalk/bicycle path from the perimeter of East Lycoming School District property to connect with the Lime Bluff Recreation Area bikeway, include a spur to athletic fields to the north and south of Ashkar school Broad Street Revitalization, Phase II: The goal of the streetscape project is create a more pedestrian friendly downtown, traffic calming, and beautification. Trees, streetlights and other landscaping improvements will be used to accomplish these goals. Jersey Shore Borough Street Safety Enhancements: This phased project will transform Jersey Shore into a more "Pedestrian Friendly Town" through education, crosswalk and sidewalk enhancements, signage, and enforcement. Enhancements will include crosswalk pavement accenting, painting, curb and sidewalk installation, pedestrian bridge replacement and lighting. Phase II - Impact Bradford and Main Street Streetscape Projects: Improvements that will enhance the beautification of two historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places and two streets, which are the main corridors utilized when traveling through the City of Bradford. The project also includes additional safety improvements including relocating overhead wires underground. SR 3014 A00 - Highland Improvement Project: Add sidewalks for pedestrian access on both sides of Highland Road to provide future links to the City schools, adjacent apartments and a nearby business district. Walnut Streetscape Extension: Project shall include construction of a retaining wall integrated with sidewalk. As well as additional sidewalk to inter-connect with existing walkways on east and west side of project area. SR 3014 A01 - Highland Road Improvement Project: Add sidewalks for pedestrian access on both sides of Highland Road to provide a link to the City schools, adjacent apartments and nearby business districts. Monument Square Streetscape Project Phase II: The Monument Square Streetscape Project includes the installation of architectural pre-cast concrete planters, curbing, and lighting in the island around the Monument. Glenside Commercial District Streetscape and Traffic Calming Improvements (Phase II): To install streetscape & traffic calming improvements on Easton Road, which is the main thoroughfare in the Glenside Commercial District. Broad Street Corridor Streetscape/Transportation Enhancement: The Borough of Lansdale will undertake streetscape improvements along Broad Street. Collegeville Borough Main Street Revitalization Project - Phase II: The intent is to enhance the pedestrian experience on Main St by completing curb, sidewalk, landscape, and lighting improvements between 1st Ave and 4th Ave. Creation of Safe Student Walking Routes to Pen Argyl Schools: This project will provide for sidewalk improvements to offer safer walking routes for the students of Pen Argyl Schools. The improvements will replace sidewalk and curbing, to re-establish and encourage the use of walking as a preferred transportation option to school. Improvements will enhance motorists' safety awareness and help in traffic calming. King Street Sidewalk Project: Construct sidewalk, ADA ramps, curbing, adjust stormwater inlets, post additional signage on King street which is the main corridor for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic both to and from the Milton Junior/Senior High School.
