East Cherokee Dr at SR 140 (PI ) Intersection Improvements & Traffic Signal Modification AMEC, Inc. & Moreland-Altobelli Assoc, Inc. (MAAI) Fall 2018 Plans updated to meet current GDOT standards. GDOT approved ROW plans on 8/8/ NTP to Moreland-Altobelli to prepare appraisals on 10/4/2017. Utility coordination complete. Final plans to be submitted to GDOT for FFPR by mid January. 0/19 Project includes providing right-turn lanes on all quadrants of intersection. GDOT has committed to fund $1,000,000 of construction cost dependent upon approval of environmental document. Bells Ferry Road at Ridge Road Intersection Improvements & Traffic Signal AECOM February 2018 Construction and right-of-way plans complete. Right-of-way acquisition completed. Plans being submitted to utilities one last time to verify no conflicts. Completed Project includes realignment of intersection, installation of a traffic signal and installation of a left-turn lane from southbound Bells Ferry Road to Ridge Road. Lower Burris Rd/Puckett Creek Rd at SR 140 Intersection Improvements & Traffic Signal Clark Patterson Design Spring 2018 Construction and right-of-way plans complete. Right-of-way acquisition authorized on 5/19/2017. Right-of-way acquisition in progress. Plans being updated per right-of-way negotiations. 4/8 Project includes installation of left-turn lanes and a traffic signal on SR 140 at Lower Burris Road and Puckett Creek Road. Batesville Road at Lower Birmingham Road Intersection Improvements BM&K Construction & Engineering, Inc. February 2018 Construction and right-of-way plans are complete. Right-of-way acquisition in progress. All utilities have submitted final relocation plans; that information has been added to the plans. 10/12 Project includes adding dedicated left turn lane on eastbound Batesville Rd to northbound Lower Birmigham Rd, adding dedicated right-turn and left-turn lane from southbound Lower Birmingham Rd to Batesville Rd. East Cherokee Dr at Tripp Road Intersection Improvements Pond & Company 2018 Plans being updated to meet current GDOT and EPD ES&PC standards. ES&PC plans submitted to EPD for review. Right-of-way acquisition to be authorized in early January. 0/8 Project includes realignment of intersection of Tripp Road and East Cherokee Drive and installation of a southbound left-turn lane from East Cherokee Drive to Tripp Road. Plans being updated to meet current GDOT and EPD ES&PC standards. Updated Traffic Signal Warrant Study completed - intersection still does not warrant a traffic signal installation. ACOE permit received on 10/16/2017. Updating culvert design to comply with ACOE permit. 0/15 Project includes providing left-turn lanes and deceleration lanes on East Cherokee Drive for both South Holly Springs Road and Thornwood Drive. Revised concept report approved by GDOT on 12/21/2017. Parcel appraisals being updated to reflect recent plan changes. Construction and right-of-way plans complete. R/W Parcels (closed/req'd) 0/16 Comments Project is 80% federally funded, designed per GDOT PDP. Concept report has been approved. Project on hold. Development of adjacent commercial parcels on hold. Will require substantial construction staging to keep open to traffic. Plans will need updating. Trickum Road at Wagon Trail/Trickum Hills Dr Intersection Improvements Keck & Wood, Inc. Construction and right-of-way plans complete. Project on hold. Plans will need updating. Project includes providing a center left turn lane for both side roads. Also includes vertical realignment to improve sight distance. Several utility conflicts are anticipated - CCWSA water main and City of Woodstock water main. May have to close roadway in order to complete the vertical realignment. Sixes Road at Gresham Mill Parkway Traffic signal installation A&R Engineering February 2018 Traffic signal design 90% complete. Updating plans for bidding. 0 Update of existing traffic signal design. County has the signal poles in storage. Plan being updated to current GDOT standards and flashing yellow operation. Bells Ferry Road - Southfork Way to Victoria Road (PI ) Widening from 2 to 4 lanes McGee Partners 2022 GDOT restarted design phase. Survey is complete. Logical termini approved by FHWA in May Project concept report has been submitted to GDOT; concept meeting is scheduled for January 10, Public Information Open House to be scheduled in March/April GDOT design and construct. County to acquire right-of-way. Project limit revised to end at Victoria Road. Bells Ferry Road over Little River/Lake Allatoona (PI ) Bridge Replacement Project McGee Partners 2020 GDOT restarted design phase. Survey is complete. Updated concept report has been submitted to GDOT. Working with ACOE and marina owners regarding permitting needs and impacts to marina operations. Public Information Open House to be scheduled in March/April GDOT design and construct. County to acquire right-of-way. GDOT working to bid with Bells Ferry Road project. County will look at possibility of advanced acquisition of restaurant parcel. Bells Ferry Road at Kellogg Creek Road and Victory Drive Intersection Improvement - Design Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI) Fall 2018 Field surveys are complete. Designer working on concept layout. Public Information Open House will be scheduled for February/March Intersection improvement(s) to improve traffic flow at the Bells Ferry Road/Kellogg Creek Road/Victory Drive intersection(s). Will be constructed in phases. Trickum Road at SR 92 Scoping Study Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI) Federal funds have been awarded for right-of-way and construction phases. City of Woodstock to solicit RFP's for design services in Spring Scoping study to determine feasibility of extendin Noonday Creek Trail from SR 92 south to Shallowford Road/Noonday Park in Cobb County. County is the project manager - City of Woodstock is funding project.
