1 TRANSPORTATION EMERGENCY PROCEDURES ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS APOLLO All students walk to Rosario Place, south of the school playfield. BRIARWOOD All students walk to LHS. Parents meet up with walkers at LHS. Buses will stage at LHS with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. CASCADE RIDGE All students walk to park just east of the school. Parents meet up with walkers at the park. Buses - Special Ed. will pick up at the park by lining up on Trossachs Blvd. there s a turn off by the park where the Special Ed. Buses could fit with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. CHALLENGER All students would walk to BLMS. Parents meet up with walkers at BLMS. Buses - Kindergarten buses and Special Ed. buses will have placards by route number for students to easily identify their route. Special Ed. routes will also have student list to verify correct route. CLARK Bus riders walk to Transportation bus garage. Buses will have placard in window with route number for student to easily identify their routes. Special Ed. students would meet in the staff lounge with their teachers to get them on buses and to contact parents. Student lists for Special Ed. students will be available with routes. Walkers would walk over to Issaquah Community Center and meet up with parents there. COUGAR RIDGE All students will leave the school out the main entrance and head west on SE 46th St. Crossing guards will cross students on 164th Ave SE and students will then walk down to the neighborhood on SE 48th St. Buses will pick up students on 164th Ave SE at SE 48th St. Walkers then walk to Lewis Park (crossing guards crossing them at the Fire Station on Lakemont Blvd SE) where they can meet up with parents. Alternate plan to replace points 2-4 would be to meet at Eastside Calvary Chapel (located at th Way SE) where buses and parents can pick up students. (Currently in conversation with the Church about this possibility).

2 CREEKSIDE All students walk to SE 20 th St & 208 th Pl SE. Buses will have placards by route number for students to easily identify their routes. Alternate Bus Pick-up: All students walk to 212th Way & SE 20th St (the Pine Lake Community Park). DISCOVERY All students will walk across the street to Audubon Park and wait at the park. Buses will line up on Audubon Park Dr. SE with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. Special Ed. routes will have a student list listing all students for that route; teachers will work to contact parents as they wait for the buses. Walkers will walk to same area and wait to make contact with parents. ENDEAVOUR All students would walk across SE Issaquah Fall City Rd - will need crossing guards to stop traffic, to the walking path and then walk along this to the housing development in Klahanie, where the buses will pick up all students. There are no walkers at Endeavour. Special Ed students routes will be listed and teachers will work to contact parents as they wait for the buses. GRAND RIDGE Special Ed. students will meet bus at Café Ladro. All students will walk to Central Park ISSAQUAH VALLEY All students walk to King County Library on Newport Way. Walkers will meet up with parents in the Library Conference Room. Bus riders will walk to buses that are lined up behind Target and will have placards in window with route numbers for students to easily identify their routes. PLAN 2: All students walk to Admin Bldg. and meet buses that are lined up on Holly St, north side of bldg. Walkers would go to the Board Room to wait for parent contact. MAPLE HILLS Walkers would proceed to fire station to wait for parent contact. Buses would line up on SE 152ND St with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. NEWCASTLE All students would exit school and walk to Beit Tikvah Messianic Congregation on 136 th Ave. SE. Walkers would wait at the Congregation for parent contact. Buses would go to the Congregation to load students. Buses will have placards in their window with route numbers so students can easily identify their routes. 2

3 SUNNY HILLS All bus riders will walk across the street to the Plateau Transportation site, where buses will be waiting with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. SUNSET All students exit the school via the walkway to Sambica. Walkers will wait at Sambica for parent contact. Buses will pick up students at Sambica with placards in their windows with their route numbers on them so students can easily identify their routes. Buses will turn around via Vasa Park turnaround. 3

4 MIDDLE SCHOOLS BEAVER LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL All walking students will walk to the park next to Challenger and wait for parent contact. All bus riders will walk to Challenger, where buses with placards in the window showing general housing areas will pick up students to deliver them home. Special Ed students will be escorted to Challenger and will either ride the appropriate bus or will make parent contact. An adult will wait with students. ISSAQUAH MIDDLE SCHOOL Walkers will walk to the Community Center where they will wait for parent contact. Bus riders will walk via the walk path behind Transportation to our site where we will have buses waiting with placards in the windows showing general housing areas. Special Ed. students will be taken (walk) to Transportation, where they will go to the staff lounge with their teachers. We will have student lists waiting and teachers will make parent contact. MAYWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL All students will walk to LHS. Walkers will wait at LHS to make parent contact. Bus riders will walk to LHS where buses will pick them up with placards in their windows showing general housing areas. Special Ed. students will walk to LHS where special ed. buses will have student lists for each route and where teachers will make parent contact. PACIFIC CASCADE MIDDLE SCHOOL All students will walk to Eastridge Church to await parent pick up or buses. PINE LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL Walkers will walk to Sunny Hills and wait for parent contact there. Bus riders will walk to the Plateau Transportation site where buses will be waiting with placards in the window showing general housing areas. Special Ed students go to Plateau Transportation 4

5 HIGH SCHOOLS ISSAQUAH HIGH SCHOOL Walkers will walk to the Community Center via the walk path behind Transportation where they will wait for parent contact. Bus riders will walk across the street to Transportation where we will have buses waiting with placards in the windows showing general housing areas. Special Ed. students will be taken to Transportation as well, where they will go to the staff lounge with their teachers. We will have student lists waiting and teachers will make parent contact. LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL Bus riders will walk to MMS where buses will pick them up with placards in their windows showing general housing areas. Special Ed. students will walk to MMS where special ed. buses will have student lists for each route and where teachers will make parent contact. SKYLINE HIGH SCHOOL All students will walk across the street to Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Buses will have placards with route numbers in the windows. Special Education buses will have a list of all students for that route; teachers will work to contact parents while students wait for buses. Walkers will wait for parent contact. TIGER MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL Walkers will walk to the Community Center via the walk path behind Transportation where they will wait for parent contact. Students who ride the bus will walk to Transportation where they will go to the staff lounge with their teachers. We will have student lists waiting and teachers will make parent contact. TMCHS Special Ed. students will be walk to Transportation, where they will go to the staff lounge with their teachers, where we will have student lists waiting and teachers will make parent contact. 5
