1 Nazarene Christian Academy August 29, 2016 Volume 29 Number 4 Reporting Absences We here at NCA are trying to make life a little easier on you when it comes to reporting your student's absences. We have set up a dedicated at absent@fwfnca.org that you may report who and why your student is absent. If you know your student is going to be gone more than a day, you may put their anticipated return date instead of having to call in each day. You may even attach a doctor's note if you would like. You may also go to and fill out the online form under the NCA tab to report an absence. You may still call in if you would prefer, but we know sometimes it is difficult to get through. Thank you all so much for everything that you do. Fast Food Friday 9/2 FFF will be Fast Taco. It will benefit the cheerleaders! Please pre - order by Thursday morning, cash only. See attached form. Howdy Week 8/29-9/2 Special Dress Days to raise money for an expanded walk way by the portables. Monday: America Monday: Show your patriotism in red, white & blue for $1 Tuesday: Enjoy wearing tye dye shirts & jeans for $1 Wednesday: Bandana's with your chapel uniform for $1 Thursday: Sport your favorite team's shirt & jeans for $1. Ball caps are okay, too! Friday: Show your support for NCA & wear blue & Gold (Regular Friday options for high school.) Coming Soon...! Who will rule the day? Will the Gray Wolfpack hold on to their title? The Lion Games will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 for all of secondary! For $10 students can enjoy a day of fun, challenge, great food and a t-shirt! To participate students must be registered by Wednesday, Sept. 14. Turn in registration with t-shirt size to Mrs. Glidden or the school office. Cheerleader practice schedule: Business Office Monthly Tuition is due on the 1 st of every month. Semester and Annual Tuition are due August 15, A $15.00 Late Fee is applied if not paid by the 6 th of the month. An Additional Late Fee of $25.00 is applied if not received by the 15 th. We accept cash, checks and debit/credit cards. If paying with credit/debit cards there is a 3% usage fee Carter Blood Care is in urgent need of all blood types. Fort Worth First will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, September 7th, from 2-7pm in the front parking lot. It's easy to donate, and your donation can save a life. There will be a sign up sheet (along with the parental consent forms for 16 year olds) at the information desk soon. You can also contact Debbie Walton at (817) to sign up. Please take a few moments to explore the selection together and let your child help choose books he or she is excited to read. You can order online at scholastic.com/readingclub, where you ll find a wide selection of quality children s books that are just right for your child s reading level and interests. Or return your paper order form to me with a check made out to NCA Remember, you help our class earn FREE Books and supplies with every order. Order Due Date - 09/30/16 Books will be delivered directly to the classroom. Book Fair The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is fast approaching. It will be September in the Library from 7:30-3:30.
