5 Notre Dame Youth Wrestling Wrestlers Wanted Grades K-6 Sign-up at Notre Dame High School 3417 Church Rd, Easton, PA Parent Meeting in HS Cafeteria Thursday Oct. 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights (and potentially Saturday mornings) at the Notre Dame High School Annex Gym If you can t make our parent meeting stop by the Annex Gym any practice night to register. Sign-ups will remain open until November 22, Anybody can Wrestle No matter your body type-height or weight-there is a place for you on the Notre Dame wrestling team. You are never too big or too small to participate. Wrestling embraces and teaches an array of life lessons. Varsity and JV spots available. What Notre Dame Wrestling can offer your son: Discipline - Great work ethic Self Confidence - Learning to count on themselves, self esteem Mental Toughness - Wrestlers learn to be both physically and mentally tough Sportsmanship - Win or lose they learn to respect each other and always shake hands Competitiveness - Wrestling with team mates in practice gets you ready for matches Competition - Even first year wrestlers will get a lot of mat time. 9 Return to the Hardwood CYO Girls Basketball Clinic at Notre Dame High School Hosted by the Notre Dame High School Girls Basketball Team and Coaching Staff OBJECTIVE: In order to gear up for the start of the basketball season, attendees will be participating in many of the same drills that our high school team uses to work on fundamental basketball skills, including ball handling, shooting, and defense. WHO: Girls in grades 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th, 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th who are enrolled at St. Jane s, OLPH, Holy Family, St. Anne s, Immaculate Conception, St. Phillip and St. James WHEN: Sunday, November 11 th at Notre Dame HS Main Gym 3 rd, 4 th, & 5 th graders: 1:00pm 3:30pm 6 th, 7 th, & 8 th graders: 4:00pm 6:30pm COST: $25.00 Proceeds will benefit the Notre Dame Girls Basketball Team. In honor of GIANT celebrating its 95th year, we are asking students to draw what they think their local GIANT will look like 95 years from now. All participating schools will earn A+ School Rewards points, and the winning student will have their artwork featured at their local GIANT! CONTEST INFORMATION: Founded in 1923 as the Carlisle Meat Market, GIANT Food Stores has grown to include more than 170 stores serving families in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Who can enter: Students in 3rd through 5th grade from all A+ REGISTERED schools are eligible to participate. How to enter: Participants should create an entry on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of unlined, white paper. Participants can use any standard drawing medium (ie. coloring pencils, crayons, watercolors, or markers). Digital tools to create the artwork are not allowed All entries must be signed on the back by the entrant's parent/guardian. By signing, parents/guardians grant GIANT Food Stores the right to use such entrant's name and publication of artwork in all media for advertising and promotional purposes, as well as in store, on the website or for future contests, if applicable. Name, age and grade of participant, as well as the school's name, A+ School Rewards Program ID number, and address of school must also be clearly labeled on the back of the entry. Please also include the location of your closest GIANT store. Maximum three (3) entries per school can be submitted. 13 Moms Ministry of St. Jane s 2018 Welcome Meeting Are you a mom attending St. Jane s Parish? Are you interested in meeting new friends who share similar interests and are walking through the season of mothering? Do you enjoy learning and talking about our unique roles as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, and Catholics? Would you value broadening your spiritual outlook by praying with other moms who share many of your same hopes and concerns? Would your child like to meet some new children to play with? If so, you are welcome to join the Moms of St. Jane s for our first meeting of the membership year on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the MGMR at church. Ample toys and space available for the kids to enjoy as we get to know one another and share ideas about activities for the upcoming year. Light refreshments will be served (especially COFFEE). 14 Moms Ministry of St. Jane s Parish moms with children of any age are welcome to join the Moms Ministry of St. Jane s! We offer a variety of social, spiritual, and service activities for moms and kids alike throughout the year. (Dads and grandparents are also welcome to join us!) - During the school year, we meet on select Monday mornings in the Monsignor Gobitas Meeting Room at church from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. - We also regularly schedule convenient opportunities for moms to spend prayerful time before the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration; to participate in the sacrament of Reconciliation; and to pray the Rosary as a group each month. - Evening book club, Bible study meetings, and periodic family nights offer great discussions and impactful insights for all involved particularly for moms who might not have daytime availability during the week. - In the summer, we meet weekly at various local parks, playgrounds, and points of interest.
