3 A BIG shout out to the Programming team for doing exceptionally well this past Saturday at the University of Maryland.

4 "The average age of a human trafficking victim is 12-14! This week the Freedom Movement club is having activities every day during STEP to bring awareness of how horrible human trafficking is. Today, in room c101 we will be showing a movie called 'Chosen' about how young girls are enslaved in the human trafficking business in the United States. Everyone is invited!"

5 Here is a reminder to seniors that are taking the scheduled Accuplacer Exam on Wednesday, April 13 to look out for more information on time and location by today.

6 There will be an A.P. U.S. History review session today in Ms. Young s room-room B112. The review session will start promptly at 3:00 PM and end at 5:00.

7 Attention all students; The MVA will be offering the Maryland Learners Permit test on Saturday, April 23 rd at 12:00 noon. If you are age eligible and would like to participate in the testing process, here at Watkins Mill High School, stop by the main office for your permission slip. All permission slips are due back no later than April 20 th. Don t hesitate, this is the last opportunity for this school year.

9 Attention seniors: If you are available to work the senior bake sale on April 26 th, please see Ms. Young to give her your name and the times you will work. You can receive SSL hours for your time. This fundraiser is to help pay for transportation to the senior picnic.

10 Attention ALL Juniors and Seniors! Have you gotten your Prom tickets yet? The price will go up in 2 weeks, so get yours now! Come by B200 and buy yours today! Remember, just two more weeks for a 45 dollar ticket!! Obligations must be paid! And now for some Career Center News!

11 Juniors: Attend the College Fair with Watkins Mill on April 19 th. This is a free fieldtrip to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Hundreds of colleges will be there to talk with you about academic programs, scholarships, student life and more. Stop by the College/Career Center to pick up a permission slip.

12 Juniors: Friday, April 15, is the deadline to turn in your permission slip if you d like to attend the College Fair with Watkins Mill. Don t miss out on this opportunity to meet with hundreds of colleges. The signed permission slip which can be found on the WMHS homepage is due Friday to Mrs. Prochnow in the College/Career Center

13 Attention all students. If you are in need of SSL hours, please see Coach Adams about volunteering at the home track meets this year. Coach Adams is located in room C104 during STEP and you can sign up to volunteer at any of the four home track meets this spring.

14 Juniors/Seniors: On Wednesday, April 13, a representative from Alleghany College will be visiting WM in the College/Career Center during 5 th period. Alleghany College is a 2 year college with housing. Sign up to attend on Family Connection.

15 The Students v. Staff basketball game will be Tuesday, April 19 at 7pm in the Main Gym. Any interested senior needs to sign up with Ben Bacorro. YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY! Tickets will be sold at the door for $1 for spectators. Want to win a FREE ticket to PROM?!? Come to the Students v. Staff Basketball game to try your luck at a ½ court shot. The first two people that make the shot during halftime will win 1 free ticket. Each shot costs $1. Good luck!
