3 Attention students, What are you doing on Saturday mornings? Every Saturday morning you could be coming right back here to The Mill! for Saturday School. Saturday school is staffed with teachers to help you in all classes.

4 They will help you with a variety of subjects. Math of all kinds, reading, social studies and this year ESOL as well. In the very near future Ms. Weatherford, Ms. Petit, Ms. Sandhu, Mr. Steitler and Ms. Reese will all have a three week lecture series on Saturdays. Please see them for specific dates. 5 The FASHION COUTURE CLUB WILL BE HOSTING A FUNDRAISER for THE NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION INC. The BEST FLY & FABULOUS PINK OUTFITS will win a prize. ALL ARE WELCOME TO COMPETE STAFF AND STUDENTS EACH CONTESTANT WILL GET THEIR PICTURE TAKEN FOR US TO VOTE ON and EACH VOTE WILL COST ONE DOLLAR.

7 Attention Minority Scholars! We will be having a meeting on Friday during STEP. The meeting will start promptly at 11:30 in Ms. Young s room. We will be meeting with representatives from the Rec Zone, so we need everyone in attendance! Again, minority scholars meeting at 11:30 during STEP on Friday. Please be prompt!

9 This is a reminder that our Inspire meeting days for this month have been shifted over from Wednesdays to Thursdays. If you want to be inspired please meet with us at STEP in room D04B. Thanks

10 Seniors, the senior class meeting will be on Wednesday October 14 th in the auditorium. The meeting starts at 8:00am sharp. We will be taking the senior panoramic picture at the beginning of this meeting as well as taking care of other important business.

11 The Homecoming Dance has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24 th. Tickets go on sale starting Monday, October 19 th at STEP in the Mixing Bowl. They are still $20. If you need a refund because you can no longer attend, bring the ticket during the week of the 19 th to the ticket sales table during STEP. You MUST have the ticket for a refund. Thanks

12 Guest forms are available in the Main Office. It must be completely filled out, with all appropriate signatures, in order to buy the guest s ticket. If you have an obligation, you will not be sold a ticket. Questions? See Ms. Squier in b102.

13 Attention Juniors, if you helped with homecoming halls and want SSL hours, please come to B200 this Friday at STEP to fill out your form. Again, we are filling out SSL form on Friday at STEP in B200.

14 Students, For those of you athat already signed up. Please remember the MVA will be offering the driving test here at Watkins Mill High School this Saturday, October 10th.

15 Attention any seniors who ordered a homecoming shirt. Come and see Ms. Young in Room B112 at STEP to pick it up. There are a few extra shirts for those seniors who missed the deadline. See you there!!

16 October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying hurts everyone whether its name calling, playing jokes or tricks on someone, physically hurting someone or cyber abuse. During the month of October, you can support the anti-bullying campaign by signing the poster located outside the health room. After you sign, stop in the health room and pick up a wrist band for showing your support. Thank you and now for some career center news.
