Dirk Nowitzki 3 pointers - Dirk Nowitzki and Bob s Steak & Chop House each donate $100 for each three-pointer Nowitzki makes during the regular season to Jonathan s Place. Marquis Daniels Marquis is spearheading the renovation of a Teen Room at Cook Children s Hospital in Fort Worth. Room renovation will include painting, furniture, flooring, etc. Wheelchair Mavericks National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) team affiliated with the Dallas Mavericks. Mavs Foundation Awards five $25,000 grants to DFW non-profit organizations who provide programs that benefit youth each year. Tux & Tennies Gala Fundraiser held in the spring of each year, benefits the Mavs Foundation. Mavs Foundation Court Refurbishment Program A local non-profit organization in need of a new or refurbished basketball court is chosen by the Mavs Foundation to receive a new Sport Court each year. Mark Holtz Scholarship The Mavs Foundation awards one $2,000 scholarship each year to a high school senior that plans to major in Sports Broadcast Journalism. Community Ticket Block The Mavs Foundation gives tickets to DFW non-profits for each home game. Texas Recycles Day - Nov. 15 is Texas Recycles Day and the Mavs host a Recycling theme night each November.
