N ther cntrls r mixing valves are needed fr lw temp applicatins. The MZ s design simplifies multi-temp, multi-zne applicatins.. There is n lw temperature return limit. This means that NO SYSTEM / THERMAL SHOCK PROTECTION IS REQUIRED. The MZ is a fully cndensing heating system. The clder the return water, the mre cndensing actin, the mre efficient. 4. When using the MZ fr dmestic ht water (DHW) r ther pririty applicatin, use ur MZ DHW kit, part # 95. It makes cmbining different temps fr heat and DHW r ther applicatins quick and easy. Our 5, 40, 50 and 80 galln BS tanks are perfectly matched t MZs.. The heat exchanger is stainless steel. 5. MZ heating systems are cmpletely self-cntained. Circulatr pump, air eliminatr, lw water cut ff, pressure relief valve, cndensate trap and drain, return water strainer, temperature/pressure gauge, fill/ drain valve, n/ff & summer/winter switch, manual flw bypass, and, except fr the MZ40C, an expansin tank big enugh fr a 5 galln system. Yu will nt shck, warp, crrde, r therwise harm it with temperature r rapid temperature changes. N primary/secndary piping arrangements are needed t prtect the heating system frm lw-temp. peratin. Yu can size the heating system t the heat lss f the structure. This is imprtant when the structure has been imprved ver the years but the riginal radiatin remains, permitting lwer perating temps at high efficiency and cmfrt levels. 6. 5 INTRODUCTION - INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL GETTING STATED aut fill valve if ne is required r as the apprpriate place t cnnect additinal expansin tank, if needed. If nt needed, cap it. If yu are ging t use it, check t make sure that the pening in the male prt has been drilled ut. RECEIVING: Befre the cntractr accepts the MZ, care shuld be taken t verify that it has suffered n shipping damage. MPI cannt cver shipping damage. Trucking cmpanies refuse t cver hidden damage if the damage is nt claimed immediately. All f the parts inside the MZ s cver are imprtant and shuld be carefully guarded during the time between unpacking the MZ and installing it. The gaskets that are part f the cnnectin kit are easy t misplace. Please put them in a safe place until ready fr installatin. The MZ is externally prtected by fam inserts, a plastic bag and cardbard crner braces. Between the fam prtectr fr the tp f the MZ and the cartn is a steel munting rail that is frmed t match the munting rail n the back f the MZ. Cmbusin air in OPENING THE MZ: The frnt cver f the MZ is sealed against the back with a rubber gasket. With the cver n, the interir f the MZ becmes a plenum. The cver is held at the tp by a munting lip frm which it hangs. The bttm f the cver is fitted with tw clips that snap clsed arund the bttm f the back. These clips are secured with tw screws that hld the clips in place. Remve the screws s the cver can be remved. Replace them when the installatin is cmplete. Prducts f cmbustin ut Cncentric flue illustrated here. Pipe must be extended t utside f structure. STORAGE: If the MZ will nt be installed right away it shuld be inspected and then stred in a secure, dry lcatin. INSIDE THE COVER OF THE MZ ARE: Installatin instructins LP cnversin kit and instructins A cntainer f BIONIBAL crrsin inhibitr A set f unin elbws and gaskets fr cnnecting the MZ water and gas piping Tw () service drivers. Yu will ntice that ne f the heating systems J pipes has an extra /4" male prt n it. This can be used fr the return f the Dmestic Ht Water r high temperature circuit, as well as an Cmbustin chamber Cndensate cllectin II. INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL CHOOSING A LOCATION: the MZ s heat exchanger r be carried int the cndensate trap. Sme airbrne substances that can be encuntered in the residential and light cmmercial applicatins that the MZ is cmmnly used in can cause premature failure f cmpnents vital t the MZ s functin. The MZ s cmbustin air must be free f chlrine, flurine, brmine, acids, cleaning cmpunds, slvents, metal dusts, metal fumes and air cntaminated with the gasses prduced in animal cnfinement buildings. When chsing a lcatin t munt the MZ, run length f the venting may be the primary factr, since it has the mst limiting factrs and, in the case f the cncentric type, it can be expensive. The ther factrs are prximity t existing r prpsed piping and gas lines, as well as a cndensate drain. It is usually easier t run lnger piping and gas lines than it is t have a far reaching and multi-elbwed vent system. The MZ shuld never be munted utdrs pen t the weather. A sheltered utdr lcatin is OK, but freeze prtectin f the cndensate trap and drain and f the circulating fluid will be necessary in cld climate znes. Take special care t avid chlrine fumes such as frm muriatic acid cmmnly used fr cncrete cleaning. Special care shuld be given t MZ installatins that are near swimming pls, laundries, beauty parlrs, dry cleaners, metal wrking peratins, metal treating peratins, industrial plants, autmbile r diesel peratins, and animal cnfinement facilities. The munting wall shuld be sund and dry. Wall anchrs can be used fr masnry; screws fr wd and carriage blt fr metal frames. If the wall is stne r very uneven, a pair f x4s frm the flr t the ceiling jists wrks fine. Be sure t leave clearance fr the vent if vent is exiting straight ut the rear. The MZ is very quiet and is rated fr zer clearance t cmbustibles. It requires n special utility rm r fireprfing fr its lcatin. It can be put in living spaces, pantries, bathrms r clsets. Since it is sealed cmbustin, it des nt need any indr air surce f any kind thugh indr air Clean cmbustin air is necessary fr prper peratin f MZ units. Sme dust will be brught int the MZ and will burn in the flame. Sme f the ash prduced will cling t the fins f 5

INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL fr cmbustin is apprved if Natinal Fuel Gas Cde requirements are fllwed. Utilizing indr air can cause a decrease in the verall system efficiency. The MZ shuld nt be run where ambient temperatures exceed 5 F. When the time cmes fr the heating system, simply remve the plugs, hang the MZ, tighten the unin nuts that cnnect the MZ t the piping and fill the unit. Preplumbing spares yu the wrry (and cash flw) f having the heating system sit n the jb site ut f yur cntrl while cnstructin ges n. Thirty minutes shuld be all yu need frm delivery t light ff. MOUNTING THE MZ: The MZ cmes frm the factry with a wall munt bracket, gas and water pipes. With this methd yu must: Munt the bracket securely, hang the MZ, attach the included turn-dwn elbws and begin piping. Nte that when the caps that cver the nipples n the heating system are remved, it is nrmal t find water left ver frm the test-run firing at the factry. Watch ut fr black-water staining if yu are wrking in a clean area. Always flush the heating system with plenty f clean water befre cmmissining. There are times when the rugh piping fr the heating system must be installed and pressure tested befre the heating system is actually needed. The pre-plumbed wall bracket was designed fr this scenari. Nte that the pre-plumbed brackets cme with and dmestic cld water shut-ff valves n the 5S. The pre-plumbed bracket (part #95 fr MZ5C pictured at right, #95 - MZ40C and #95 fr MZ5S) allws cmpletin f the heating and dmestic water piping withut the heating system present. NOTE: All MZ heating systems are shipped with an ffset Z bracket fr flush munting. The #955 Spacer Back Plate fr MZ5C & the #956 Spacer Back Plate fr MZ5S and MZ40C allw piping t be run up behind the unit. Pre-plumbed brackets can be a big help with radiant systems n new cnstructin r majr remdel jbs. Fit the bracket, pipe the gas and heat, use standard pipe plugs with the supplied fiber gaskets t pressure test the entire system. USING MZS TO PRODUCE DOMESTIC HOT WATER: a 54º F temperature rise. That is a cnstant draw f 74 gallns per hur. That setting maximizes efficiency and DHW prductin, and wrks fine fr a ne-shwer applicatin. SIZING: As lng as the BTU utput f the MZ is greater than the design heat lss f the structure, the DHW draw n the MZ des nt have t be taken int accunt because DHW run times are very shrt. The nly time that DHW lads affect sizing is when they are unusually large. The tank n the right side f the MZ5S inside its cver hlds system water. A cpper fin-tub cil inside the tank transfers heat frm system water t dmestic water. The adjustable aquastat just abve and t the left f the tank sets the limit fr the DHW-water temperature. We recmmend a setting f n mre than 0. If the DHW aquastat is set abve 45º F the fixed, manual-reset high-limit supply-water thermstat n the MZ may trip, causing nuisance callbacks. INDIRECT: Because f its very high efficiency and very quick respnse time, the MZ series is especially well suited fr high-vlume DHW water prductin thrugh the use f water strage tanks using the heat prduced by the MZ. Our 5, 40, 50 and 80 galln stainless tanks are designed with the cntractr, the end-user and the MZ in mind. The temperature f DHW is independently cntrlled and regulated by adjustable settings n the MZ5S. The MZ5S als includes an adjustable flw setting device fr DHW. In mixed space-heat DHW applicatins, the DHW functin is given pririty ver space heat thrugh the use f a three-way valve r pririty pump system cntrlled t direct 00% f the MZ s utput t the heat exchanger in the DHW system. When there is a lw DHW flw thrugh the MZ5S, the system water in the tank will give up heat t the DHW and its temperature will fall until the aqustat clses. The MZ will add heat t the tank at faster rate than it is being taken ut, and the temperature in the tank and in the DHW will rise until the aquastat is satisfied. Then the temperature will start t fall again until the aquastat calls fr heat again. This situatin presents little r n prblem fr laundry, dishwashing, hand washing r ther cmmn DHW uses. DIRECT DOMESTIC HOT WATER, THE MZ 5S: The MZ 5S prvides space-heat and DHW at extremely high levels f efficiency and lw levels f pllutin. It is especially well suited fr structures in which flr space is at a premium. The MZ 5S will prduce.9 GPM f dmestic-ht-water at MZ INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE 6

INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL CONDENSATE: Fr steady water temperatures, the DHW water flw rate thrugh the MZ5S must be high enugh t keep the MZ s burner n. If the user cmplains f DHW temperature swings, especially in the shwer, install a thermstatic mixing valve between the ht and cld legs f the system. Make sure it is a thermstatic, nt a tempering valve. Als make sure that the temperature setting f the MZ5S is at least 5 abve the desired mix temperature f the thermstatic valve (even if it means a higher than needed gpm valve is used), r there may be temperature fluctuatins. Cndensate remval can be accmplished by letting it drain int the building s nrmal drain r septic system. The MZ s cndensate utput depends n the return water temperature f the heating system. Clder return water means higher efficiency and mre cndensate. Over time cndensate will eat cncrete, irn and cpper drains. Mst drain water is alkaline which will neutralize cndensate. Perclating cndensate thrugh crushed limestne will neutralize it. If n gravity drain available, an acid-prf cndensate pump will d the jb. NOTE: The DHW perfrmance f the MZ5S is nt exactly like that f a regular ht water heater, s make sure that yu r yur custmer understand its limitatins. Filling a bathtub will take lnger, since mst wide pen spigts will nt yield ht enugh water fr a cmfrtable bath. The filling prcess will have t be slwed in rder t keep the temperature up. Make sure yur custmer knws this! If space is nt critical, it is almst always better t use an MZ 5C and ne f ur BS tanks. The cst f the tank and valves are little mre than the difference between the 5S and 5C. It has been ur experience that thse peple wh chse the MZ5S d s fr the exceptinally high efficiency fr verall DHW as cmpared t cnventinal standing-pilt, gravity-vented gas water heaters, and easily adjust t the subtle differences. CHARGING & LEAK TESTING: It is assumed that the system int which the MZ is being installed is a leak-free system. Leaks in the system will damage the heating system and vid the warranty. If there are leaks in the system, fresh water will have t be added t the system t replace the lst water. The additin f fresh water, ver time, will always bring air and disslved minerals int the heating system and will dilute the crrsin inhibitr. All f which will cause a failure. The prper cncentratin f BIONIBAL crrsin inhibitr (% by vlume fr all metal pipe systems and systems with xygen barrier tubing, % by vlume fr nn-barrier systems) that is shipped with the MZ will cmpletely prtect the MZ and the system it is cnnected t frm crrsin if kept at the right strength. BIONIBAL des nt deterirate ver time r get used up ver time. Additinal Binibal is available frm MPI. Table may be helpful in balancing MZ5S DHW systems. Table MZ5S Once the system is prperly charged with: Leaving water Temperatures, Degree F. Temp GPM Rise 5 F. 40 F. Inlet Inlet Water Water T e m p Temp F. Inlet Water Temp 5 50 F. Inlet Water Temp F. Inlet Water Temp F. Inlet Water Temp Water BIONIBAL, r Water, glycl BIONIBAL mixture, it shuld remain stable indefinitely. Befre the MZ is cnnected, the piping system shuld be filled with clean, neutral P-h water t a pressure f 00 PSI. If there is n change in pressure after 4 hurs, the system can be assumed t be leak-tight. The system shuld als be visually inspected as thrughly as pssible. If any leaks are fund, they must be repaired. The MZ has a brass, male-hse-thread, fill-and drain valve perated by a stainless-steel ball valve. We recmmend that the MZ nt be permanently piped t the structure s ptable water system, unless lcal cde requires aut fill. If aut-fill is installed t the system, ur recmmendatin is that it be turned ff. The flw switch in the MZ prevents lw-water firing. It is nrmal fr heating systems t lse a very small amunt f water ver time thrugh valve stems r similar fittings. This trivial amunt f water can easily be replenished during nrmal maintenance. There is a clear plastic tube in the MZ that fits ver the nzzle n the air vent and prevents the water that typically spits ut f the nzzle frm staining the inside f the MZ. APPROXIMATE DHW PERFORMANCE OF MZ5S AT VARYING FLOW RATES AND INLET WATER TEMPERATURES. ALL TEMPERATURES ARE IN FAHRENHEIT. First clumn gives flw in galln per minutes. At any steady gallns per minute (GPM) flw rate, the MZ will raise the temperature f the inlet water by a specific amunt. That temperature rise is shwn in the secnd clumn. On start up, the MZ shuld be run in the heating mde until the entire system is brught up t perating temperatures. Third, and subsequent clumns, gives inlet water temperature rising 5º F increments (tp rw) and the leaving dmestic ht water (DHW) temperature (remaining rws.) D nt leave city water pressure n the aut-fill during nrmal heating system peratin since any system leaks will cause the Binibal crrsin inhibitr t be diluted and eventually 7

INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL eliminated. Oxygen and minerals in the water cming in t replace the water leaking ut will damage the MZ. CORROSION: The MZ shuld be filled with clean, clear, neutral ph water suitable fr drinking. A cleaning slutin such as a mixture f water and trisdium phsphate shuld be used in any systems with ily residues. Many chemicals have been used ver the years in existing heating systems that culd cause premature failure f MZ units. It is imprtant that n additives be used in the system water fr the MZ ther than BIONIBAL, which is supplied with each unit. IMPORTANT: The use f a % by vlume slutin f BIONIBAL in a radiant-heating system using nn-xygenbarrier tubing will prtect the MZ and the system t which it is cnnected, frm xygen crrsin. In a system using tubing with an effective, intact, xygen barrier r in a hard-piped system, a % slutin f BIONIBAL is sufficient. BIONIBAL desn t deterirate r weaken ver time, but shuld be renewed if system is drained. in an easily accessible place. The pipe supplying gas t the heating system must nt cause a pressure lss great enugh t decrease inlet gas pressure belw the specified minimum gas pressure values. (5" f water clumn fr natural gas, " fr LP.) After initial start up, check that the pressure tapping pints are prperly clsed and check the general leak tightness f the gas circuit. Always purge thrugh the gas pipe wrk befre initial firing f the unit (in rder t get rid f any particles prduced by welding r threaded jints). The unit and its individual shut-ff valve must be discnnected frm the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing f that system. EXAMPLE PIPE SIZING TABLE Fr gas flw thrugh varius pipe lengths and diameters. (FOR REFERENCE ONLY) Capacity f pipe fr pipe size (ft/hr) Pipe length (feet) /" /4" " /4" Under n circumstances shuld standard cmmercial antifreeze slutins be used in the MZ. Mst f them cntain crrsin inhibitrs that are nt apprved fr use in the MZ. They will cause heat exchanger failures that are nt cvered by warranty. N ther additives fr lubricatin, leak stppage r any ther purpse can be used in the MZ. T d s will vid all warranty. FREEZE PROTECTION: Nte: Table abve is fr natural gas with specific gravity 0.60 with a pressure drp thrugh the gas piping f 0.0" w.c. Refer t ANSI Z. fr additinal pipe sizing. In situatins where freeze prtectin is a necessity. MPI ships 5 galln quantities f BIONIBAGEL anti-freeze which is frmulated with Binibal at a cncentratin that will bring a 50/50 mix f BIONIBAL and water t a % cncentratin f BIONIBAGEL. If the applicatin des nt require a 50/50 mix, the additin f sufficient BIONIBAL t bring the resulting slutin t a % cncentratin is imprtant, therwise bacterial grwth and crrsin may take place. In nn-barrier systems, which we discurage, a % cncentratin f BIONIBAL must be assured. One quart (part # 956) and.6 galln (part #959) quantities f BIONIBAL are available frm MPI. NATURAL GAS TO LP GAS CONVERSION AND HIGH ALTITUDE ADJUSTMENT: Nte that the additin f glycls t the water passing thrugh the MZ changes the rate at which the mix absrbs and releases heat, decreasing its effectiveness as a heat transfer fluid. Glycls als increase the viscsity f the water, making it mre difficult t pump. These factrs can significantly influence the verall perfrmance f the heating system and shuld be taken int accunt in the system s design.. Recnnect nut and tighten.. Fr MZ5C/S mdels nly: Remve the cmbustin air fan by pulling it t the right. Discnnect the rubber air hse and the wiring. Set the fan aside. Nte: The split-ring LP rifice slips int the burner, as shwn belw. If it fits lsely, use the apprpriate tl t pen the split-ring LP rifice s that it hlds in place. 4. Inlet gas pressure fr LP gas must be between " and " water clumn with the heating system running. The MZ40C requires n gas valve change. The MZ5C/S requires a gas pressure adjustment frm the factry.8" water clumn setting t 5.5". The adjuster is under the sltted cap n the gas valve. Turn the adjustment screw underneath the cap full clckwise and then back ff ne turn cunter-clckwise. Replace cap. The heating system shuld then fire, permitting utlet pressure measurement. Repeat adjustments until the crrect utlet pressure f 5.5" is reached. The final pressure reading at tap P must be taken with the unit running and the cap reinstalled n the gas valve. NOTE: Many cmmnly used, unapprved crrsin inhibitrs CAN DAMAGE THE MZ AND VOID THE WARRANTY. MZ Heating System GAS PIPING: The supply line is /4" NPT, and enters at the lwer left side f the unit as shwn. The gas supply pipe must be fitted with a / 4 turn stp valve lcated MZ INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE ÍGas Inlet Each MZ is supplied with a LP cnversin kit. Fllw steps fr cnversin frm Natural gas t LP:. Lsen the nut frm the gas line/burner junctin as shwn n next page (there are n the MZ40C). Insert rifice int gas line. Nte that since there is n natural gas rifice in the MZ40C, the tightening f the unin between the gas line and the elbw smetimes narrws the pening in the gas line fr the rifice. If that ccurs, ream the pening. Fr MZ40C LP heating systems, insert rifices befre munting heating system. 8

INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL Imprtant nte abut altitude: Since atmsphere thins as altitude increases, there is less xygen available t supprt cmbustin at high altitude. The cmbustin-air blwer used n the MZ was designed specifically fr the MZ. Its nrmal perating speed is partly determined by the density f the air mving thrugh it. The MZ is designed fr 0 vlt, 60 cycle, three-wire (lad, neutral, and grund) current and draws abut watts in full peratin. The electric supply shuld be frm a dedicated 5 amp circuit. The MZ is easy t wire. Trim the minimum amunt f material frm the pyramid-shaped grmmets in the MZ s cabinet s as t prvide a snug fit fr all wiring in and ut f the MZ. Run lw and high vltage wires thrugh the strain reliever n the left side f the cntrl panel, thrugh the chase and int the cntrl panel. Make sure plarity is crrect r the unit will lck ut right after lighting. There are black jumper wires ging int terminals t the left f the high vltage blck. Frm left t right they are T, T, & T. When return water temperature gets t between 9º F t 4º F f the setting n the adjustable aquastat n the face f the heating system, the nd stage shuts ff and the st stage runs until the heat call is satisfied. If return-water temp falls, the secnd stage cmes back n. PREPARATION FOR USE/INITIAL START-UP: Check fr the appearance f the flame thrugh the rund bservatin windw inside the hinged dr just abve the cntrls. Check that the installatin is filled with water. The water pressure shuld equal PSI. The MZ heating system has tw air purge valves, ne n the heating utlet, the ther n the dmestic ht water heater (5 S mdel dual-functining unit). Check that the electricity supply is cnnected crrectly: 0 V-60 Hz, with crrect plarity. Check that the siphn trap is filled with water. Check that the cndensate utlet is cnnected. Make sure the circulatr is running. If nt, remve cap cvering shaft and manually start. The adjustable dmestic ht water thermstat is factry set n the MZ 5S. If it becmes necessary t adjust this psitin it s recmmended that fr energy efficiency the setting be kept at the minimum water temperature cnsistent with the cnsumer s needs. The maximum DHW temp is 45. Keep in mind there is a ht water scald ptential if the thermstat is set t high. COMMISSIONING: When perating the unit fr the first time, the installer must verify: That the gas valve wrks prperly; That the flame cntrl wrks prperly; The burner setting: CO, CO, and gas valve settings are crrect.. Open the manual valve n the gas inlet.. Switch n the main heating switch, r circuit breaker. Shuld verheating ccur r the gas supply fail t shut ff, turn ff the manual gas cntrl.. Set the lighted n/ff switch n the cntrl unit t the n psitin. D nt use this unit if any part has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician t inspect the unit and t replace any part f the cntrl system r any gas cntrl, which has been under water. 4. Put the circulating pump switch t the winter psitin (snwflake). In the summer psitin (sun), the circulating pump nly wrks when the dmestic ht water tank requires heating (MZ 5S r C mdels with indirect ht water strage tank). Befre initial start up f the unit, the installer shuld: Check that the gas circuit is leak free. Carefully flush ut the gas pipes. Where the installatin is new, the purge serves t evacuate the air that is cntained in the pipes s that the unit has sufficient fuel. The presence f air in the gas prevents the burner frm lighting and results in the flame cntrl unit safety device cutting in. This applies t a new installatin running n either natural gas r LP. Fr the latter, the strage tank must als be prperly flushed befre initial start up. FLOW VERIFICATION: In rder fr the MZ t functin prperly a minimum amunt f water must flw thrugh the MZ s heat exchanger t remve the heat being prduced. 17 INSTALLATION AND TECHNICAL - ACCESSORIES The pump in the MZ40C is generally nt capable f pumping nrmal heating znes utside the heating system. Such applicatins nrmally will require additinal series pumping r a primary-secndary layut. The pump WILL supply adequate flw fr prper peratin f ne f ur BS indirect tanks thrugh ur DHW kit. When the MZ is prperly cnnected t a primary-secndary pumping layut, the MZ s pump will prvide the necessary flw. When the MZ is directly cnnected t a system in which the pump inside the MZ is used t pump the entire system, the system must be checked fr prper flw. If the system is a single-zne system r a multi-zne system balanced with manually set circuit setters, there either will r will nt be sufficient flw t clse the flw switch. If the system is multi-zne with zne valves used t pen and clse znes n demand, the system can be checked fr prper flw by running the system ne zne at a time with all f the ther znes ff. If any f the znes restrict flw s much that the flw switch will nt clse, adjustment t the system will have t be made, such as wiring the system s that the restricted zne can nly perate when anther zne is running r adding a pump t that zne, increasing the pipe diameter r zne valve selectin fr that zne, r installing a differential pressureverflw valve. LEAVING WATER LIMIT-SWITCH FUNCTION There is a manual reset high temperature limit switch in the water jacket f the MZ. In systems with lw flw r systems with water-glycl mixes, it is pssible fr that manual reset switch t trip befre the call fr heat has been satisfied. In rder t check fr this pssibility, the system shuld be run with the adjustable limit switch n the MZ s panel turned full clckwise. The temperature - cntrl devices in the system (thermstats, aquastats etc.) shuld be adjusted t deliver the highest temperature that this applicatin will require until thse temperature-cntrl devices are satisfied. NOTE: If the system has been designed t require high temperature (>76 F.) water at design cnditins, care must be taken t prevent nuisance trips f the MZ s manual-reset high-limit switch. The best ways t d that is t prvide fr cnstant circulatin in the winter mde, r add mre radiatin. In multi-zne applicatins, each zne shuld be run individually t assure that nuisance limit-switch trips will nt ccur during the heating seasn. If the manual reset switch trips, pull the adjustable-limit switch knb and adjust the wire stps in the knb s that the adjustable limit shuts the MZ dwn befre the ver-limit switch pens. If the leaving-water temperature at that setting will satisfy the structure s need fr heat n a design day, the prblem has been slved. If the leaving-water temperature will nt satisfy the need fr heat at that setting. Changes t the distributin system, piping arrangement, pumping prvisin, cntrl system, r the additin f radiatin may be apprpriate.
