Tom Geul Membership Report The June 5, meeting at Lakemore Waterworks Park had 22 members present and one visitor, "The Music Man" Todd Ranney. Todd was a member at one time, who happened not to be working and decided to drive out to Lakemore to see if we were still meeting there. It was nice to see Todd again. The members and visitors enjoyed hotdogs and kielbasa cooked on the grill and several delicious side dishes to go with the hot dogs and kielbasa. Peg brought her sloppy joes (coney sauce), we had deviled eggs, various salads, and baked beans. Diana Bray

5 Vice President Chuck Heretta Let me start off by saying a THANK YOU to the Tiretown members who took the time to attend our opening events at Beef O Brady s in Kent on June 3 rd. What a turnout of cars, entrants, workers and enthusiasm to support our efforts to raise money for Zane s Foundation. Thank you, Waggoner s, for suggesting and working with Todd the day of the show. Through the efforts of many, we were able to donate $1000 to Zane s Foundation. Our next events will shift to Lorain County Speedway for a combined effort between Corvette Cleveland and Tiretown on Sunday July 9 th. These will be autocrosses - 6 events with two runs each. (see flyer) We need to supply corner workers, registration and timing board workers. A few entrants would be nice, too. You don t need to think that I ll hurt my car or they will laugh at me for being slow. Get that out of your mind. Neither will happen. Remember, we all started sometime. Just do it. Jackie, from Cleveland, and I have been working on this event since late March to iron out possible bugs and make it enjoyable to all. Cleveland and Tiretown split the profits from this event and the event in September. Once again, I am asking for workers and entrants from Tiretown to make this successful. The day before, on July 8 th, is the annual Vettemilion car show in Vermilion. This a great display of over a 100 cars lining the streets. It is just a nice hour and a half drive to enter your car, then walk and shop the many small stores in town. It would be nice if Tiretown had a nice parade of cars pulling in together. Contact me and I will select a meeting time and place. Let s continue participating in other Clubs events. As a final thought this month, did you verify your address to the board? Communication is the most important part of any organization. Elaine takes the time to publish Regional flyers so you can plan your month to include Corvetting. Be more than just a card carrying member, be a member that participates in all aspects of the Club... meetings, socials, events. See you somewhere soon, a track, a parking lot, or the meeting park Chuck
