4 Vice Presidents Report No rest for the wicked (or even the good)! Next up: We are hosting speed events at Lorain County Speedway on Aug. 27 & 28. (A flyer is enclosed in this newsletter). WE NEED LOTS OF HELP! As you are aware, speed events need many people to put on. In a few days, you will receive a sign-up sheet. Look it over, and call Tom or me to let us know how you can help out. Don t hesitate! WE NEED YOU! Final Event for this year! Serpentini Car Show in Orrville is on September 24. Luckily, they do most of the hard work themselves (moving cars, etc.). And they make it lots of fun, with a shuttle service to Smucker s and free Ice Cream! But again, we need your help! I ll have a sign-up sheet at the next club meeting. So, sign up. We ll be doing some different things at this show, including awards for Best Interior, Best Overall Car, and best license plates. We ll also have awards for OUR club s choice and dealer s Choice. On a sad note, NCCC lost Larry Higgins, Distribution Manager, last week. He was responsible for sending out renewal packets each January, along with keeping up with new members throughout the year. He did a great job, was a very nice person, and will be missed. Also deceased is Ralph Eckler, founder of Eckler s Corvette Supply. Alan and I are listed in the latest issue of Sports Car as being 25 year Founding Members of the National Corvette Museum time sure does fly!
