1 game notes double-a affiliate FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS (7-26) Texas Rangers game #34 friday, MAY 11 7:05 p.m. Wolff Stadium San Antonio, TX LHP Brett Martin (0-4, 9.53) vs. LHP Jerry Keel (1-0, 5.01) Video: MiLB.tv Audio: RidersBaseball.com, TuneIn Radio and MiLB First Pitch App SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS (23-10) San Diego Padres BATS QUIET IN SERIES OPENER: The Riders missed a couple big scoring opportunities Thursday and dropped the series opener in San Antonio 3-1. After giving up three in the third, the Riders had a bases-loaded/no-out opportunity in the fifth and a bases-loaded/two-out chance in the seventh but came away with one combined run in the two frames. UNABLE TO WIN CONSECUTIVE GAMES: For the seventh time this season, the Riders had a chance to string together consecutive wins last night but came up short. All seven wins this season have come in one-game spurts. LOCKDOWN PEN: With 3 1/3 more scoreless innings last night, Riders relievers have not allowed a run in the last 29 1/3 innings. During this stretch, opponents are hitting just.146 (14-for-96) against relievers. Relievers Brady Feigl (15 1/3 IP) and Johnny Fasola (6 IP) still haven t allowed a run this season. Since giving up 16 runs out of the pen May 1, Riders relievers sport a 1.80 ERA (7 ER in 35 IP). In the 18 games prior, that mark was LIMITING THE LIFT OFF: Frisco pitching has gone two consecutive games without allowing a home run. It s just the second time such a feat has been accomplished this year (also 4/7-4/9). The two homerless games come on the heels of a 10-game span with at least one homer allowed. Riders pitching leads the Texas League with 47 homers allowed. The group is on pace to allow 199 roundtrippers, which would surpass last year s franchise record of 146 and the Texas League single-season record of 178 (Arkansas, 2006). YO, TREVINO: Riders catcher Jose Trevino was activated from the 7-day DL earlier this afternoon. He had missed the last 11 games. The 2017 Texas League Midseason and Postseason All-Star was added to the Rangers 40-man roster this past offseason. riders vs. missions in Frisco in San Antonio All-time in Frisco in San Antonio rangers top 30 prospects MLB Pipeline 15.
