1 TACOMA RAINIERS GAME DAY INFORMATION CHENEY STADIUM 2502 S. TYLER ST. TACOMA, WA PH: (253) FAX: (253) Tuesday, June 24, at 6:05 P.M. Tacoma Rainiers (36-41) vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks (42-37) Game 78 (36-41) Cheney Stadium, Tacoma, WA RHP Taijuan Walker (1-1, 5.82) vs. RHP David Martinez (5-4, 4.36) Home Game 42 (19-22) ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Rainiers earned a third consecutive walk-off win over the Oklahoma City after Xavier Nady s single in extra innings sealed a 9-8 victory on Monday night. With the score tied at eight, Nady lined a go-ahead single to left field that plated Xavier Avery with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning. Earlier in the frame, Avery reached base on a force out, made it to second on a wild pitch and then advanced to third on a ground out hit by Justin Smoak. Tacoma s heroics in the tenth inning were made possible after the club posted a fourrun rally in the bottom of the eighth. The Rainiers trailed 8-4 before Michael Saunders belted a bases-loaded double that cleared the way for three runs to score. Corey Hart drove in Michael Saunders with a game-tying triple one batter later. Saunders went four-for-five with two doubles and three RBI. Infielder Chris Taylor turned in the Rainiers other three-hit night after going threefor-five with two runs scored. Reliever Brandon Maurer picked up the win after striking out four in 2.0 shutout innings beginning in the ninth.
