Board Notes Doug Roderick, Secretary At the regular meeting of the TPCA Board of Directors held on April 3, 2014, the following actions were taken: Financial Reports of the Association - Upon recommendations from the Budget and Finance Committee, the February Financial Reports of the Association were approved by the Board. Amenity Center WiFi - The Board voted to allow owners to have the Wi-Fi password in the Amenity Center. B & F Committee Terms of Reference - Upon the recommendation of Joe Hayes, the Board approved updates to the Budget and Finance Terms of Reference. Approval of Investment Committee Proposal - Upon the recommendation of Joe Hayes, the Board voted to increase the percentage that can be invested, at their cost value, in Investment Grade Stock Mutual Funds from 10% to 20%. Extension of Security Services Contract - Upon the recommendation of the Security Committee, the Board voted to extend Universal Protection Service s contract for 2 years at the current rate. Removal of old Pine Straw and leveling of surfaces - Upon the recommendation of the Managing Agent, The Board approved $4,885 for US Lawns, the low bidder, to do landscaping work involving removal of pine straw and leveling of surfaces at the Amenity Center and the TPCA parking lot. Increased the amount to alter, pave, and seal the TPCA Building parking lot - Upon the recommendation of the Managing Agent, the Board approved an increase of $735 in the TPCA Administration Parking Lot rejuvenation funds due to an additional parking spot being left out of the initial RFP given to the bidders. NRC Committee Recommendations - The Board voted to lift the moratorium on right-of-way materials and accept the report from the NRC reading Approve only St. Augustine and variations of Zoysia grasses for use in the frontage areas. Encourage the use of Zoysia as the grass of choice for any replanting as needed; Grandfather existing frontage areas now using pine straw or mulch or a combination with Jasmine until that time when they need to be replaced or refurbished. Attention Frontier Bulk Agreement Customers: The approved grasses should be used in the frontage areas; In the event it is deemed impossible to grow grass in the frontage area, the Board of Directors or its Agent, the Association Manager, in consult with the landscaping contractor, will furnish a planting landscape plan as an alternative to grass; Homeowners (lot-owners) will be furnished a list of options that will enhance the growth and health of their frontage grasses. It is the intent of the Board to do some further investigations in this area prior to making any final decisions regarding the specific recommendations presented by the NRC Committee. Actions Taken Between Meetings - The Board voted to prepare an RFP to seek bids for a three year management services contract. The Board completed BOD review of K.A. Diehl s performance on the current contract and identified some areas that need improvement. These will be reviewed with Management prior to the next BOD meeting. The Board approved the nomination of Bill Pearson as Volunteer/Employee of the Quarter. K.A. Diehl Management Message Mel Renkey, CMCA, AMS, PCAM Reminders Since the Spring Season is finally upon us, now is a good time for a few reminders regarding some of the TPCA Rules and Regulations. Yard Waste Disposal Please remember that yard waste is to be piled up on your lot only for pick up by the City of N. Myrtle Beach. It is not to be placed on vacant lots, on Association Common Areas, or in the street. Tidewater Storage Facility This facility is for the use of property owners only. If your unit is rented, please be sure that your renters are aware that they will not be able to store boats, trailers, motorcycles or anything else in the storage facility. Please there can be no exceptions. Pet Rules All pets must be kept on a leash and under the handler s control anytime the animal is off the property of the owner. All pets must be registered with the Managing Agent and a Tidewater pet tag is required to be displayed on the pet s collar or leash when the pet is off the owner s property. The handler must clean-up their pet s defecation whenever/wherever the pet has relieved itself. Call for Service Support 1

2 Tidewater Plantation Community Association Evidence of a current rabies inoculation (inoculation tag issued by a governmental authority, certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian, or a certificate from a duly authorized person administering the vaccine) must be provided to the Managing Agent on an annual basis. Volunteer of the Quarter The TPCA Board of Directors selected Bill Pearson for the Employee/Volunteer of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter of Bill was born on the Island of Manhattan in New York City. Bill s family moved to Stamford, Connecticut and Bill graduated from the Jim Wright Technical School in Stamford. It is there that Bill gained a tremendous knowledge of the construction business and he decided to concentrate on the electrical side of the construction business. In 1967 Bill married his lovely wife, Linda, and moved to Norwalk, Connecticut. They went on to raise three beautiful daughters, Jenifer, Kim, and Bonnie. Bill worked as an electrician and as an electrical construction supervisor in Norwalk until 1985, when he opened his own electrical business, Pearson Electric. He remained in business there until June of 2000 when he moved to Tidewater. His daughter Bonnie worked in the business and she continues to run the business today. Kim also remained in Connecticut, while Jenifer moved to South Carolina and is currently a Registered Nurse at Waccamaw Hospital. Because Bill was deeply involved in his career, he decided to become deeply involved in his new community as well. In 2002 he chaired the Monthly Owners Meetings and was a member of the Security Committee. In 2004 he became a member-at-large for the TPCA Board of Directors and in 2005 became the Board President. From 2005 to the present Bill has been the Tournament Director and a Trustee of the TCTC and from 2006 until the present he has been the Chair of the Promotions Committee. Under Bill s leadership the TCTC has profound impacts on the lives of many people in the Grand Strand area. His untiring efforts and contributions to the community over a long period of time have made him an extremely valuable asset to the Tidewater Community. Harbor Loft - The community dock shall be for the use of Harbor Loft Owners only, unless an owner obtains a permit for a boat of a visiting house guest from management. Permits for guests of owners must be approved by the Board of Directors in advance of docking. Only owners are allowed pets, renters are not allowed pets. Heron Lake - Only owners are allowed pets; renters are not allowed pets. Teal Lake - Only owners and long term renters (6 mos. or more) are allowed pets. Check your water heater, anything over eight (8) years old must be replaced. All renters must abide by the Rules & Regulations posted at the pool area. Only electric grills are allowed. The following are not permitted to be parked at the unit: any motorcycle, electric or motorized bicycle, electric or motorized go-cart, electric or motorized scooter, mobile home, open or covered trailer (either with or without wheels), motor home, tractor, truck (other than pick-up trucks), commercial vehicles of any type, camper, motorized camper or trailer, recreational vehicle, boat or other watercraft, boat trailer, or any other related forms of transportation devices, are not allowed in any Tidewater community and must be stored in an offsite location. Such vehicles however may be loaded or unloaded at the unit of such operator, but cannot remain parked on Tidewater Plantation Property. All condo owners are encouraged to have HO6 insurance. The Clubhouse Villas Homeowners Association: Kendall Benjamin, Association Manager; Janice Knott, Administrative Coordinator The following will provide you with an update on the construction projects currently being performed at The Clubhouse Villas: Flooring project - The "touch up" to certain areas are ongoing with Buildings 59, 58, 57 and 55. The base coat has been applied to the second and third floors of Building 53 and the subsequent coatings are underway. Power Washing/Painting - The painting of Building 58 and the power washing of Building 59 should be completed by May s newsletter, with the painting of Building 59 to begin thereafter. ALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE SUBJECT TO WEATHER PERMITTING. Lighthouse Point Villas Homeowners Association: Kendall Benjamin, Association Manager; Janice Knott, Administrative Coordinator Project Updates: The roofing repairs to Buildings 42, 43 and 44 are moving forward. The landscaper will be adding new pine straw to the landscaping beds in the next couple of weeks, weather permitting. The Board of Director meeting schedule for 2014 is: Friday, September 12, 2014 Friday, November 14, 2014 All meetings will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Tidewater Administration Building. Tidewater Plantation Community Association Design Review Board Nancy Hudson, Chairperson Recently the subject of artificial pine straw was reviewed by the Natural Resource Committee and the Design Review Board. Textraw is a synthetic pine straw made from recycled polypropylene. During the presentation the representatives stated that Textraw should not be used where there is a wealth of natural pine straw. Tidewater is considered a natural pine forest and is naturally blessed with an abundance of pine straw. Another factor considered was how and where to recycle the synthetic pine straw. There are products that occasionally come to light and initially sound enticing, however, the synthetic pine straw and rubber mulch, although made out of recycled materials, leave a lasting impression on our ecological footprint. After reviewing the pros and cons of Textraw and taking into account the Natural Resource Committee s recommendation, the DRB disallowed the inclusion of synthetic pine straw to our natural landscape materials. The DRB Standard states that landscaping mulch must be an organic substance, natural in color. Colored/dyed (red and black) mulch is not permitted. Substances such as rubberized mulch and synthetic pine straw are not permitted. Refreshing the mulch in your yard makes a big impact on curb appeal. Our meetings in May will be on the first and third Mondays and all applications for tree removals, landscape changes, and home improvements should be submitted a week prior to the meetings. The Design Review Board is always available to answer questions via telephone or at drb@tidewaterhoa.org. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support. North Myrtle Beach City Council Bob Cavanaugh, Councilman North Myrtle Beach Citizens Academy Eighteen North Myrtle Beach residents recently graduated from the second annual North Myrtle Beach Citizens Academy. Citizen Academy participants attended a variety of meetings, during which they toured many city facilities. They also participated in staff presentations that focused on key city departments. Farmer's Market In April, Council will have passed a change to the law dealing with the market. It is expected that it will be able to be rented by citizens. Details to follow. Tents on Beach. Effective May 15, they will no longer be allowed thru Labor Day. RIDE III The county wide program that gave us RTE 31 (RIDE 1), and Robert Edge Parkway (RIDE 2) is now being worked on. 4 Tidewater Plantation Community Association Promotion Committee Bill Pearson and Flossie Chapman A year ago while serving on the Nominating Committee it became apparent there was a growing problem facing our community. Resident after resident refused to have their name considered for the three upcoming Board of Directors' openings. A majority of them cited the unfair criticism and personal attacks on current volunteers as their reason. They did not want to be subjected to that type of behavior. It was clear that if this trend were to continue it would have a severe impact on the Tidewater we now know. We need to strengthen our volunteer environment not weaken it as we head towards the conclusion of the Class B control period. Thanks to the help of a number of resident contributors, this committee undertook a six part series of articles to address this serious trend and attempt to turn it around. This is the final article in the series. After studying the problem two things stood out. Those responsible for the unfair criticism and personal attacks did not understand the long term damage that resulted to our community. Neither did those people understand who became an audience for criticism and attacks or forwarded it on as a juicy bit of gossip. We tried to paint a picture of what a future Tidewater would be like without any volunteers and our actions would end up getting us the (community) government we deserve. Thoughtful, respectful criticism offered in a friendly tone is our responsibility when we disagree with an issue under consideration by our Board of Directors. Making a point after getting all the facts, and remembering that we are all neighbors and in this together is so important. If you get what you want, great. If not, accept the fact that sometimes it just works out that way. Don t lose sight of the bigger picture. Tidewater will not be the same without our volunteers, let s always respect and support those who volunteer. Here is a comment from a Tidewater owner: When my wife and I were looking to buy in Tidewater, she asked if we should look anywhere else. I said, why bother, there is a beach house, pools, tennis courts, golf, clubhouse, and beautiful surroundings - where could we find anything better than this place. It has it all! After moving here, we found that Tidewater's biggest asset is its people. People from all across the country and all walks of life. People who are willing to share their best attributes and abilities. People who became true friends, coming together to make this a great community to live in. Our community is built on a strong foundation - Our Volunteers - People who give their time and effort to make this a better place for all of us to live. Spring is coming - let's celebrate with joy, love, and compassion for each other. Be positive - be real - be a resource for each other; friends caring and helping each other to make this a piece of paradise! Our support for each other will make Tidewater better than ever! Tom Munn 4 Bill Pearson This year will be the 10th charity golf tournament organized by TCTC at Tidewater. What started in 2005 as a small event put together on short notice to raise $2,500 for the NMB Shop with a Cop program, is now an event embraced both inside and outside the Tidewater Community. TCTC has given away over $250,000 to charities that serve our area. Beyond that, the tournament, teaming up with the Folds of Honor Foundation, has been instrumental in providing college scholarships and children assistance scholarships to four local military families (total of 8 individuals). Those scholarships, awarded in just the last four years, represent over $160,000 made available to those families by the Folds of Honor. There have been many other benefits derived from the tournaments, too many to list for now. It has become a platform for many opportunities that have led to improvement in the human condition for those in need in our area. Below is an early schedule of events making up the 2014 Tidewater Patriot Day Charity Golf Tournament, please mark your calendars and attend as many as you can. 5 Tidewater Plantation Community Association Road Rejuvenation Project In January, it was reported in the newsletter that the Board planned to have the roads throughout the property sealed this year by Total Asphalt. An article has been in the newsletter each month advising that this work would start on May 12th. The intent of this newsletter insert is to lay out the specific timing for that sealing/rejuvenation project, to define the impact on you as owners, and to ask for your assistance. Why Rejuvenate? The reason for proceeding with this project is to extend the life of the Association s streets. The product being used will do two things. First, it contains oils that will penetrate the surface of the street and assist in reducing the viscosity of the asphalt, making it more pliable and thus extending its life. Second, the coal tar component of the sealer will form a surface barrier to prevent water infiltration and slow any deterioration of the road base while filling minor cracks at the same time. This work is being done with the understanding that some of the areas with more advanced alligatoring (cracking) may fail over several years but this treatment should slow the rate of deterioration and extend the useful life of the surface. Impact on Owners The first, and most significant, impact on you as owners will be the fact that the street leading to and in front of your home will be closed for 24 hours. The Board understands that this is an inconvenience, more for some than others. In evaluating the options for doing the work, it was felt that this approach would ultimately be less inconvenient than having portions of the same streets partially closed for several days. During the day that your street is being treated and closed, the Association will have golf carts available to pick you up and take you home, if necessary. It is our plan to have two carts available; we are finalizing a plan for getting to each home. We will be using road edges and the golf course for access and will have to place plywood across some streets (while the sealer is wet) to provide access from one side to another. Other items that will impact you on the day of the work on your street include mail, FedEx or UPS deliveries as well as trash and yard debris pick up. With access to your street blocked, these items will have to be delivered the following day or, if you have a priority need, you should make arrangements to have FedEx, or UPS items left at the HOA Administration office. US Mail could be picked up at the post office late in the day. Please advise renters of your property of this project. Your Assistance There are two primary items where your assistance is needed. The first is with your sprinkler system. Your sprinkler system needs to be turned off on both the day before and the day of the date that your street is scheduled for treatment. The sealant cannot be put down on a wet street. The second item is simply trying to plan your activities so we can minimize the use of golf carts. For scheduling purposes, you need to plan on the road section being done each day closing at 7:00 AM and not reopening again until at least 7:00 AM the following day. Finally, during the 24 hour period following the application, the roads will be tacky and if a vehicle rides on it and then goes on a concrete curb or driveway, it will leave tracks that are virtually impossible to remove (not to mention what could splash on your car that will also be very hard to have removed). You will also need to avoid walking on the treated road as shoe soles can also track the product onto driveways and/or into your home. Scheduling The objective of the schedule outlined on the site colored plan is to limit the closure of the street in front of every home to one 24 hour period. As stated before, the sealant cannot be applied to a wet surface, so this project is very weather (and sprinkler) dependent. In the event of rain on any day during the schedule, the next day the contractor will move on to the work already scheduled for that date and then the day lost to rain will be picked up on one of the scheduled make up days, or another day as announced. This is intended to try to minimize changes to the schedule. If there is rain during this period it will be particularly important for owners whose work has been delayed to keep an eye out for announcements regarding the rescheduling. The Tidewater website, bulletin boards, and handouts will be used to communicate the new scheduling. 5

8 Tidewater Plantation Community Association Parking & Golf Cart Pick Ups During the period while the streets are being treated the prohibition of parking on the streets overnight will be lifed. This will allow many owners to park on a street and walk across a fairway or down the road edge to get home. Residents affected by the South Island and Harbor Loft closures can park in the Golf Course parking lot across the street from the driving range and will be transported by golf cart to and from their home. If you need a ride on the day your street is being treated, please call and arrangements will be made to pick you up. Project Updates The Rejuvenation Project status will be updated daily on the Tidewater website under the Bulletin section; we will also be sending out broadcasts as needed to assure timely dissemination of information. It is very important that you review the site daily for the status of the total project, especially if you currently do not receive broadcasts from Tidewater. Thank You In Advance As stated before, this project will inconvenience each and every owner, whether it be the result of being rerouted around the property every day or the day on which you will not be able to drive back to your home. If this project did not have real potential to extend the life of the asphalt in the streets and savings for the Association (and thus each owner) the Board would not be pursuing it. But, understanding there will be inconveniences, the Board would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation and willingness to assist in making the project go as smoothly as possible. Information Regarding the Rejuvenation Product To Be Used Using Gas Chromatography and Infrared Spectrometry, Paverx was formulated to create the best match of closed-ring compounds that ignite the rejuvenation process. Unlike any other product, Paverx's rejuvenating oils are twice refined to remove all impurities and concentrate a very narrow range of the most active rejuvenating molecules. This unique concentration of rejuvenating oils stops the oxidation process and changes the molecular composition of the asphalt binder. This new "Super Binder" stops top-down cracking and heals hairline spider fractures. This level of rejuvenation is possible because Paverx, unlike seal coats, is designed to penetrate the surface of asphalt. Once it has penetrated, Paverx dramatically reduces the viscosity in the top one-half inch of asphalt while significantly increasing ductility. Paverx's durability is superior. During thermal cycles, it contracts and expands at the same rate as the asphalt. In comparison, seal coats simply lie on the surface. They undergo a markedly different expansion and contraction rate from the asphalt. This eventually leads to cracking, pin-holing, and delamination. Paverx does not suffer from these problems; it becomes an integral part of the asphalt. 8

9 Recreation Committee Priscilla Wrobel, Secretary Upcoming Happy Hour Dates Friday, May 9 and Friday, June 6 at 6 PM - Ahhh - On Friday, May 9, we will be returning to the Beach Cabana for the summer months. We re looking forward to spending some beautiful summer evenings enjoying each other s company and greeting new Tidewater residents. During the summer, we will once again be requesting that you bring an appetizer or dessert to share, along with your favorite beverage. Remember, no sign-up is required for Happy Hour events. Kentucky Derby Party, Saturday, May 5 pm - Spring is here, and that means it s time for the Kentucky Derby, Tidewaterstyle! This year, the Recreation Committee will by holding this event at the Tidewater Grille, with a menu of finger sandwiches, wraps, dessert and other items, and of course a mint julep, all at a cost of $8 per person. Your entry fee also includes a ticket for betting on your favorite horse. As in past years, there will be a hat contest with prizes for the men and the ladies. Tastebuds Menu Planners Needed Marty Turnauer Tastebuds is seeking one more individual to plan the meals for the Tastebuds group starting in September, This is a collaborative effort and you may plan meals based on foods you like to eat or menus you desire to try. Marty Turnaur will continue organizing the groups and handling the marketing. Tastebuds is an informal gathering of 6-9 Tidewater neighbors who come together to share food, conversation and new friendships. It is held three times a year, in th fall, winter and spring. Everyone is involved learning how to sketch, watercolor and use acrylics or pastels using step-by-step video instructions, as well as scrapbooking and Knitting for Charity. On Monday, May 12th The Artisan s Creative Café is hosting a Painting with Clorox Workshop with Corinne DeCicco at the Amenity Center from 10am till 3pm. Many techniques exist for painting, but bleach makes an unusual painting tool as well. With bleach, you can paint and even spray-paint around objects to imprint their silhouettes on fabric. Bleach painting is a fun, easy and no-experience-needed way to play with fabric dying. The cost of the workshop is $10.00 to cover materials. Coffee and tea will be provided. Artisan of the Month Marilyn Drange Marylou Convery is this month s featured Artisan of the Month. She has a background in design and color. After retiring and moving to Tidewater in 1998, it was only natural the first thing on Marylou s bucket list was to sign up for drawing and painting workshops. Marylou loves to watercolor and sketch. She is the driving force for The Artisan s Creative Café and can be found at the Amenity Center on the last Monday of the month. Sharing with Tidewater neighbors her love of painting has been her greatest reward. See Marylou s exhibit during the month of May in the lobby of the Tidewater Grille Clubhouse! 10 Tidewater Plantation Community Association Tidewater Bowlers Barbra Lefke Beginning on October 2 through March 26 twenty-five women from Tidewater bowled over 21 Wednesdays. Fifteen of them qualified for a prize by bowling at least 10 times. Undoubtedly, Carol Blake, Kathy Hughes and Betty Kraemer would also have been in that group had injuries and health issues not hampered them. We look forward to having them back next season. On April 2, sixteen of the participants met at Clark s for the awards luncheons. Diane Williams was our most enthusiastic newcomer. She attended 16 times and had an overall average of 99. Her goal for next year is to break into a 3-digit average. Eileen Chambers had the highest average for a newcomer with 112. She also had the most improved series from 257 to 357. MaryJane Bilicki had the second highest average for a newcomer with 106. She also had the fewest splits with only 11. She just made the cut for attendance with 10. Carol Haggerty, another newcomer this year, had a 98 average. She probably has one of the best throws of anyone, but unfortunately not with the best results. Carol probably threw more gutterballs followed by strikes than anyone else. She had the 2nd fewest splits with 24. Diane Bokel had the second highest average with 143. She was probably one of the most consistent bowlers and had the second highest game of 204. Helen Ashby, who always brings her own cheering squad, had her best game of the year on the last day of bowling with a 163. Her average for the season was almost 125, 12 higher than last year. Yaya or Ethel, Helen s Mother, gets the award for best spectator. Carol Snyder throws the slowest ball with the best results. Her average for this season was almost 126. She also averaged the highest number of splits per week (more than 4) and managed to make quite a few of them. Blair Hubbard was tied for best attendance with 17 and it probably would have been higher if not for Board meetings. Her average was 111. Audrey Poole had a 129 average, 9 higher than last year. Cinde Woodcock had the 3rd highest average with 137. She also gets the award for most chatty. Bunny Lanahan also tied for 2nd in attendance with 17. In week 16 she had a 116 average for the day, the first time she surpassed 100. Her average for the season was 88, but she went from a 186 series to a 282 to earn MOST IMPROVED BOWLER. Rose Prady had the second highest series with 484 and the 4th highest game with 193. She had the 2nd highest number of splits per week with almost 4. Her average for the season was 130. Connie Muirhead had the best attendance with 20; she only missed Week 10. She had the most splits with 57 and also tied for the most strikes with 99. Her average for the season was 128. Barb Lefke also tied for 2nd attendance with 17 and most strikes with 99. She managed to have the highest game with a 212 one day. Her average for the season was And last, but certainly not least, Joann Nelson was the best bowler for this season with a high series of 546, the only one over 500. She had the most spares with 207, the only one over 200. That s an average of more than 14 each week that she bowled. She had the 3rd highest game of 198. Her average was 158, 13 more than last year. ATTENTION TIDEWATER It s that time of year again. Peanut Butter and Jelly Time. I want to thank you in advance for all the PB&J I have been collecting for this year s PB&J drive. I also want to thank you for all other food items you have donated through the year. At the end of March I picked up and took to Helping Hands 60 pounds of other can goods. Once again thank you, Barb Quaglietta Top o the Mornin to Ya March 16, the recreation committee packed the Amenity Center for their traditional St. Patrick s Day dinner and dance. In addition to a great corned beef and cabbage dinner, there was entertainment from the Shamrocker s and the singing of Irish songs, led by our own Ron Nichols. Happy Hour at the Grille Do you recognize our board president under that wig? A great time was had by all as Ron and our guest ventriloquist provided many laughs and a great time at our Happy Hour on April 4.

11 Redcup s Texas Hold em Poker Tournament The March 8th, Redcup s Texas Hold em Poker Tournament was a great success for 15 players. The final Champions Tables included Gunnar Hicks, Dave Thomas, Jim Helondovitch, Assigned Table Dealer Ken Felker, Frank Sanocki, John Gira and Frank Panaralla. Frank Sanocki was the eventual Grand Champion and received the $25 gift certificate for the Tidewater Pro Shop. Tidewater Plantation Community Association Golf Course News Archie Lemon Reservation Phone Number Thursday, May 1 through Sunday morning, May 4 will be by far the busiest weekend of golf for the month of May. However the following week May 8 May 14 will be one of Tidewater s slowest weeks for golf and therefore, a great time for Tidewater residents to enjoy the course with both family and friends. Sunday, May 11th is Mother s Day and as a special appreciation to all Mom s, Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers the Tidewater Golf Club has a price-break for all Moms. All of the Moms that are accompanied by an Annual Member will play free of charge and Moms accompanied by a Player s Card Member will only pay a special players fee of $20. Reservations for Sunday, May 11 can be made up to a week in advance. We kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding as it comes to non-golfers using the golf cart paths. For a multitude of reasons with safety being the most important we ask that residents and guests do not walk, run, ride bicycles, skateboards, etc. on any golf cart path. It is not only hazardous to the non-golfer but extremely disrespectful to all golfers and staff. There are only two Food and Beverage functions scheduled for May as spring golf season comes to a close. The Kentucky Derby Party will be on Saturday, May 3 and the Dart League Awards Dinner will be on Tuesday, May 20th. In June we will kick-off both the Nine and Dine and the Annual Members golf/dinner. Wheel Night and Prime Rib Night should also be back on the calendar. Hit em straight and always give more putts than you expect 11
