3 From the Oval Office What do you know, the summer is rapidly coming to a close, vacations are winding down and yes, we are all thinking DARTS. Ah, but yes, what about DARTS? The buzz is all about the coming 25th Anniversary celebration of the TCDA on October 9, The Board and Divisional Advisors are hard at work with various individuals and committee members making plans. There is a lot to be done so, if you have anything to add to the festivities, get on the phone or typewriter and let us hear from you pronto. I have always wanted to write the history of the TCDA and now it is in the works, thanks to the cooperation of Ed Otjen, founder of the TCDA. He is providing us with information about the early days and we will take it from about 1990 on. It is a lot of work, but I m sure you know anything worth doing is worth doing My name is Charles Stutz and I am the President your best. I know you will find the history of the TCDA most interesting and enjoyable. The two Officers and two Board Members who were up for election this year got your vote, consequently your Board will remain the same for at least 2 more years. Everyone should be pleased because we have a great group of dedicated members serving you and always eager to make the TCDA a growing social organization. Former members Dave (Paco) Paukner and Mari Callandar are ill, as I have mentioned before. We think of them often and hope that each day some sunshine comes into their lives. I hope everyone had the best vacation ever and that now you are making plans for the Dart League start up about the 2nd week in September. Good luck to all. Charles 1

14 Have We Met? The Frequent Flyers The Vagabonds Have You Met This Team? by Tom Cushing The Bull & Ton is starting a new feature in each issue to introduce various teams you that may not know about or may not have played against. It makes the game and the competition more interesting if you know the people you re playing against instead of being strangers all the time. I know for me that is the case. When I have to play a team who s members I don t know, it s just not as fun. You can joke and goof around more when you are familiar with the players. In the first picture, meet the members of the Frequent Flyers. In front from left to right are Chris Schmid and Dave Ciaciura. Behind them from left to right are Mark Schmid, Jeff Steinworth, Chad Stasson and Chris Williams. Another member, Brad Bannister, is not-pictured. Pictured second are the Vagabonds. These guys are, from left to right, Brian Haufek, Jeff Haffner and Brad Haufek. Other members of this team, Dion Sauve and Dan Linse, were not pictured. More teams will be introduced in future issues of the Bull & Ton. If you like the idea of being introduced to the membership or if you d like to see your team here, make sure to come to the Banquet where we will make a point of getting your picture taken. Or, if you can t make it to the Banquet, have your team picture taken at league night and send it in with a score sheet or other correspondence. Be sure to list the players names on the back of the picture. B Flight 4th place, Alan Sackou. (Sorry Alan for the misplacement of this photo, but at least it made it in here!) 12
