Fawnia s goal has always been simple, to teach pole dancing in a safe, supportive, and extremely fun environment. Pole Fitness Studio, is 100% coed and offers 200 dance and fitness classes every month, and in 2016 expanded to open their West location in Summerlin. Students learn pole dancing, Lyra, striptease, go-go, belly dancing, salsa, ballroom and burlesque plus yoga, and boot camp. Men s only and kids pole classes also available. Pole Fitness Studio is a popular place to celebrate birthdays and bachelorette parties. In fact, Las Vegas locals have voted Pole Fitness Studio to be their #1 pole dancing studio. Together with Fawnia s certified staff, Pole Fitness Studio offers the most variety in classes and private party celebrations. 4 Pole Expo Founder Fawnia Mondey-Owner/Founder Canadian born Fawnia Mondey is the pioneer of pole dancing instruction as she produced the world s first instructional video on how to pole dance. Since her start in 94 Fawnia has produced seven instructional DVDs, taught thousands of women worldwide, and owns Pole Fitness Studio and Pole City in Las Vegas, NV. USA. With over 20 years experience training and teaching, Fawnia created the Pole Dance Instructor Certification (PDIC)and wrote the forward for The complete Idiots Guide to Exotic and Pole dancing Illustrated. Fawnia was awarded The United Pole Artists Pro-Poler for 2011, PDC Pioneer Award in 2012 by The Pole Dance Community (PDC) and Industry Leader of the Year award for 2014 by IPDFA. In addition to teaching Fawnia instructs pole dancing workshops and lectures at the University of Las Vegas. Fawnia is a respected judge for pole competitions around the world at the highest of levels and is on the board of directors for the Pole Fitness Association (PFA) and on the Olympic committee for the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) as an Elite Athlete with efforts towards the Olympics. In 2011 Fawnia created Pole Expo and hosted the first Expo in 2012 in Las Vegas. In 2018, the 7 th annual Pole Expo has grown to be the largest event of its kind, welcoming attendees from over 50 countries. Kerri Ann Friedman- Technical Supervisor Kerri Ann has been a dancer on and off her whole life. She first experienced dance through ice-skating at the age of three and continued until she was 15. Intermittently during her ice-skating, she has studied jazz, ballet, and gymnastics. Her dance experience further extended itself to social dances like Latin dances, country 2-step, and ballroom dances as she grew older. She feels that all of these various genres of dance have not only contributed to her pole dancing and instructional style, but they have allowed her to realize how unique pole dancing is to all of them. Apart from being a pole dance instructor and competitor in various national stages for Pole Dancing, she is also the Technical operations manager for Pole Expo. She is also a successful Entertainment technician and carpenter for various Las Vegas companies including: Cirque du Soleil, The Smith Center of the Performing Arts, PRG, MGM Grand Arena, etc. Her whole life has revolved around performance and entertainment. It s about time she has taken it upon herself to perform as well!

9 Pole Classic Finalists All pole fitness athletes are invited to enter to compete in the Pole Classic. From the hundreds of submission videos, only 7 female and 7 male athletes are invited to compete for the coveted title of the Overall Pole Classic Champion The athletes are judged on: Artistic Presentation Stage Presentation Technical Presentation by six highly skilled judges, with two judges in each category. The top 3 female and male athletes will be awarded Pole Classics gold, silver, and bronze medals. Both female and male 1st place will win $1,000. The athlete with the highest score is awarded Overall Pole Classic Champion. The 1st place female will go on to compete in the Pole Championship Series at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sports Festival in Columbus Ohio in March 2019.
