2 2014 KCCS Whole Body Fresh Cadaver Workshop for the Asian Cosmetic Surgery Surgical Anatomy Education Center Yonsei University College of Medicine, Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea 30 th May ~ 1 st June 2014 Title 2014 KCCS The 9 th Asian Cadaver Dissection Workshop for Cosmetic Surgery Greeting Dear Colleagues The Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery, in conjunction with Asian Society of Asian Cosmetic Surgery and Yonsei University Medical School is holding the 9 th KCCS Fresh Cadaver Workshop for Cosmetic Surgeons at the Surgical Anatomy Education Center Yonsei University College of Medicine and Live Surgery Demonstration in Seoul, South Korea. Aims of this Cadaver Workshop are to educate the cosmetic surgeons about the intimate knowledge of the Basic and Surgical anatomy, and for the participants to practice cosmetic surgical procedures on fresh cadaver under the direct supervision of experienced cosmetic surgeons. The best part of this workshop is that the participants will be able to practice cosmetic surgery on fresh cadaver whose state is very similar to live human tissue. And live surgery demonstration after cadaver workshop will also help the participants to have a real sense of realism and increase the practical abilities in the cosmetic surgery procedures. All supervisors are well renowned cosmetic surgeons and most of them are the fellows and professors of the KCCS. They will devote their undivided attention to the enhancement of the participants anatomical knowledge and also will take you through the common cosmetic surgical procedures that are outlined in the program. This will be in the form of lectures, cadaver surgery demonstrations, cadaver dissection practice. The participants will be able to attend these programs in person or with the technical help of the supervisor and observe or participate in the surgery as an assistant in the live surgery demonstration. Understanding of anatomy is fundamental importance in Cosmetic surgery. Therefore practicing cosmetic surgical procedures on fresh cadaver and having an experience of live surgery right after cadaver workshop is a paramount importance. Because many cadaver demonstrations embracing the whole field of cosmetic surgery will be performed continuously, it will be hard for registrants to experience all cadaver courses. Therefore it will be better for you to decide the fields you have to concentrate upon before you participate in the cadaver workshop and to plan in order to aim for the highest result by considering the allocation of time.

6 Cadaver Number Registration Payment Contact Awards for Participants Notice 2. Regarding the preparation of surgical instruments : You are best advised to use your own surgical instruments. So you should bring surgical instruments needed for your fields personally. The organizing committee will offer only basic surgical instruments that are provided to medical students. But gowns, caps, masks and suture thread will be offered and special surgical instruments and consumable materials such as tools for bone surgery, contouring thread, liposuction cannular and suction pump and breast implant will be provided. 3. One applicant can use one whole cadaver if you pay a double registration fee. 4. Members of the KCCS can get a special discount in every event hosted by the KCCS. Any medical license-holder can join the KCCS. If you want to join the KCCS, you have only to send a required application form and the registration fee($600) 5. Some of the programs and the speakers are subject to change. 6. Photographing or videotaping Cadavers (dead body) is not permitted. 7. 7 3. Photography is not permitted. If you take pictures despite all restraint, the organizers will keep your cameras until the end of the workshop and erase all the records by force. The organizers will send pictures to each of you, if you leave your address. 4. Since the organizers employ a professional photographer and he takes pictures of all courses, attendees who want photos can ask him for the pictures. 5. You are not allowed to attend or observe the classes that you did not register for. You must leave the room immediately after detection. Besides, all your classes will be canceled and no refund. 6. You should not dissect other areas of a cadaver except for the permitted area. In other words, while performing Class I : Course 1 (6 Candidates use 1 Cadaver), you can t dissect Class I : Course 2 (2 Candidates use 1 Cadaver) without permission. In case of attending Class I : Course 1, Faculty will dissect the cadaver with anatomical description and Participants can practice partially. If you are a beginner, This course will be good opportunity to learn lots of anatomical points and easily understand with faculty s explanation. On the other hand, In Class I : Course 2, Participant can dissect Cadaver by themselves during observing Demonstration. However You should allocate arrangement of time properly in order to aim for the highest result due to limitation of time. 7. The certifications will be presented at the gala dinner on Sunday. Participants who will not be able to attend the gala dinner must inform the organizers of their absence in advance. 8. No one who is accompanied by you can attend the cadaver courses or lectures. 9. You should always wear your name tag during the class. If not, you cannot attend the class. 10. All the instruments and tools that the organizers offered must be returned after the class. If you lose or break any of them, you should compensate for it.
