Currently it is up to the host club brought up that Technical Rules and Regulation says must therefore is mandated by GO could club s have the option to flash scores for levels 1 4 ages 9yrs and up Question if it that possible with BTS? cannot block the app but can just have the TVs turned off for 7 & 8yr olds the whole meet must be blocked from the app have the app blocked as well felt that the focus of the interclub program to place the focus on performance and NOT on the scores and this is not in favor of it Motion to discuss : Not to flash scores for levels 1 4 ages 9yrs and up. Rationale because the focus of the interclub program is to place the focus on performance and participation and NOT on the scores and this is not in favour of this philosophy

WTC MEETING Page 4 June 9, 2014 Motion received more than 51% vote to discuss Discussion athletes should not be seeing the parents before awards after competition concern of parents giving hand signals can't stop the parents from communicating with the athletes and placing focus on scores why bother renting the BTS system if we are going to start blocking different ages and categories? Is it worth it to only use for qualifiers? BTS is more economical than Pro Score 70% of kids were under provincial levels looking forward to paperless meets papers to print off is huge! what is the philosophy? reasons for using which score programs should be for the best interest of the athletes can we shut down the app until competition is done? not possible again what is the philosophy? Can only the coaches access the app through GO numbers? not possible either is the reason because we don't want the parents to see the scores? is this just prolonging the parents seeing the scores? Agree with the fact that parents should not find out scores before coaches and should definitely not be spoiling anything for the kids, however they will eventually see the scores anyway 9yrs+ time commitment not necessarily ability determines where you are placed in the level system. not only about the parents, but also about the kids focus being taken away from their own competition and focusing on the scores. Judging is a long way away from the athletes' scores reflecting their performance consistency is not there will have a learning curve this year with the new system don't care about scores flashed or not, one concern though is interclub and provincial stream should not be thought of as separately, they must all fall under levels 1 9 club went to 2 US meets this year card on the tables to indicate if the SV is not full. Judging between US and CAN was very consistent Do we want to have cards like in the US? would be on the meet director Club philosophy if you have kids who would be moving from level 4 to level 5 may have a negative effect moving through these levels if in one they are flashing scores but in another they are not modify tech regs that in sanctioning for your meet you will be using BTS and flashing scores, or choosing not to 7 and 8yrs moving from getting gold, silver, bronze merit and they if they move to being a 9yr old now they get NOTHING if you don't want to use BTS at your meet, then don't. You don't have to flash, parents had to buy results on their way out. parents perspective ranking is NOT a good focus for the parents the score is a better indicator of where each athlete is at MOTION to NOT flash scores at competitions for athletes in levels 1 4, age 9yrs and up. For: 2 Opposed: more than 51%

WTC MEETING Page 5 June 9, 2014 DEFEATED MOTION (Amendment) Allow the host club to make the decision of whether or not to flash scores for levels 1 4 age 9yrs and up, and communicate this information in the call to meet. For: more than 51% Opposed: 2 MOTION to wait one more year to implement compulsory choreography for beam and floor for levels 1 4. Rationale like to have the option to have optional choreography DEFEATED already discussed at bi annual assembly would like to have the option for levels 4 and under to have different music. the idea is to be straight JO not continue to make changes get a lot of US athletes training in Muskoka and they really like that we don't have to use compulsory music MOTION for Levels 1 4 to have optional music on floor DEFEATED Season 9.1 OCP JO presentation recapping this past season with the new rules 9.2 Mandatory Mobility presentation ranking doesn't mean you are scoring high enough to be able to move up inquiry of the possibility of using US scores? Scores are a different attitude they require a MINIMUM score before you are ALLOWED to move up scores for each levels would be different suggestion to encourage moving mid season allow a "medical" allowance and potentially have kids move up mid season? Not possible right now with how our qualifying system works could potentially do this at the higher levels since those categories don't tend to be full at all meets we should be able to make a prediction of which kids will be moving up don't want to lose an identity that we've created can identify us by choreography and our quality when we travel to the US so we want to see our scores a little higher in order to maintain that reputation! If we decide we want score, athletes can still move up outside of mandatory mobility Mandatory mobility for 14+?? for this year mandatory mobility will be the same as this past season

WTC MEETING Page 6 June 9, 2014 younger/less experienced coaches may need help moving athletes up through the level system don't be afraid to ask DO WE WANT TO SEE MOBILITY FOR 1 4??? There's no room for the little guys/beginners coming in because these lower level kids do not have to move up Ethically we have to put the pressure on the coaches to move up once we decide on the score for each level, we may want to re examine mobility for levels 1 4 next year Team Ontario selection suggestion not to allow any athlete to be an Ontario tour team member in the same level more than twice 9.3 ODP do we want to have all ages competing in each level? love the 5 level system! age 10 maybe should be in the OCP JO level system will they be doing physical abilities as well as skills? Yes! leg holds? why take out? Found too difficult to get young kids to hold body positions while actively holding their leg up will everything else stay the same? YES! 7&8 clarify PA judging not a lot of advanced do you think that grouping at competition will require more coaches there? May need another coach because more levels will be there? any things you like to see changed/adjusted/looked at further? Yes! next step is to create the judging that goes along with the skills for evaluation need to get the ODP committee together with the judging Chairs to come up with rules but we want to keep it as simple as possible Certificate what will it show? Not sure yet where we will go with regards to the certificates? Maybe just add in the events as well as the strength, flexibility, endurance etc? all around for both events and PAs or combine the two? looking at combining the two LOOK AT A TEMPLATE FOR CERTIFICATES FOR 7 & 8 YEAR OLDS' CERTIFICATES can we set a cap of how many athletes in each rotation for ODP meets? 8 athletes per group so that things move through faster hopeful to split a flight of 1 3 and one with 4 5 CONGRESS Linda Johnson is coming up to do level 5 compulsories Jeff Lula is coming up to present online coach education preschool and school age programs Darlene from GYMTASTICS presenting on Friday and Saturday focusing on preschool type programming Zoltan Jordanov swiss national coach, national coach of England will be doing vault and bars Dave Congress during the week instead of the weekend??? Comp on Wed/Thursday/Friday and put rec stuff on Saturday Administrative presentations will be going on at the AGM in October this year Nicole from the US for training camp and congress really good warm up, artistry, excellent beam Nastia Liukin not available this year but wanted the dates for next year to be able to come next year

WTC MEETING Page 7 June 9, 2014 Canadian athletes? Dave B as a presenter? MOTION FOR AJOURNMENT Moved by: Mississauga Seconded by: SGI NATIONAL ASSEMBLY 1.0 Canada Winter Games Nov attached to qualifier 1 Dec. 5 7 attached to qualifier 4 Level 9+ and non carded Juniors and Seniors 13+ Screening for Elite Canada wanted 2 screening options *screening options will be back to back Prince George, BC 6 athletes travel, 2 non travelling alternates top 1/2 go to 2nd trials? Suggestions for how are we picking the team? 2nd trial should count for more 100% second day want to try and get 4 judges per panels to avoid biases training camp? there is money and funding for 9 to go to a meet for a "competition training camp" 2.0 CPN Where does this category fit? GO has it designated as a provincial level 9, 10 and 11 year olds are stretched between many levels and only have a couple of kids in each age category? Novice/Open to compete at qualifiers as level 10s? If you close down CPN you will get more GO JO kids registering as levels 7,8&9 in younger age groups Almost the same as level 7 minus the vault could still evolve the vault on your own, but could have CPNs compete 7 & 8 Can't restrict people from CPN Can we encourage people to use our OCP JO program? can you do both? Compete in OCP JO for qualifiers, but then move to CPN for championships? Other provinces really like CPN but do they like it because they are not using JO? Can we put Open as level 10 for the qualifiers? do they want more opportunity to compete?

WTC MEETING Page 8 June 9, 2014 very likely that they will not Level 10 at Nationals??? we need to get the other provinces on board with this idea 3.0 Canadian Championships managers? lower the age requirement? actively recruiting people during the year next season will be sticking very strictly to the deadlines for applications 4.0 GCG AGM discuss JO level 10 to GCG add to Melissa's presentation level 10 instead of National Open can we get another province to bring up the motion to discuss JO level 10 for National Open 5.0 National Open Category split age groups evenly and 16+ to be put as a new item and brought in off the floor at the AGM if the numbers are off and you don t have a combined event the host club won't make money no information from last year s nationals about registration, HGT cut etc. get coaches and administrators working together Eastern can we send 6 opens rather than 4 since it is 100% funded by parents more opportunity for these athletes! MOTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING Moved by: Mississauga Seconded by: SGI
