It really is an essential tool to aid the planning of our rallies. We are not locking you into anything. This is just showing the intent so we know how many groups we need to set up. I think as far as trials go our new plan for gear check went off very well. Certainly worth continuing to see how it goes. I try and keep Hoofprints as short as I can these days but this month I feel I need to expound a little. It is with great sorrow I have to announce that the August rally will be the last with Sarah as our DC. Over the last 15 months she has worked tirelessly to bring new ideas and disciplines to our rally. Her partnership with Kez as CV has been an inspiration. I am glad to say she will remain at the club so we can still benefit from her smiling and good natured demeanour. Sarah, thank you on behalf of the whole club for your commitment and dedication. I wish Sarah and her family all the best and can only say that whoever takes over as DC has big shoes to fill. This Saturday we have APSB which is a comp that we have done the work for over a good number of years. We get a nice boost for our coffers as well as helping out a small organisation that couldn t run without this assistance. Unfortunately this year it clashes with the last Speed to Safety day so I m afraid you won t see me around on the day. Please talk to Adrienne about our upcoming Show and BEDS. Gear Check Group Leaders in high visability vests will assist to run groups through Gear Check. Please be prompt for Gear Check as instructors will begin teaching at am Sharp. No Rider can start with their group until their Gear Check is complete, this includes a signature from your parent or Guardian. A parent MUST be in attendance when you are getting gear check please. Any rider leaving early for the day please inform DC Sarah Kavanagh or Kez & your instructor and then sign out at the office. GRADINGS MUST BE BOOKED IN BY ING SARAH KAVANAGH NO LATER THAN TWENTY ONE DAYS PRIOR TO RALLY, FILL OUT A GRADING SHEET WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM OUR WEB SITE and BRING COMPLETED FORM ALONG TO NEXT RALLY OR SCAN AND SEND WITH BOOKING. Those who are not listed can contact me and I am happy to place your name on a roster or I will know that you may be available for other jobs or to fill a spot if someone is away. I have contacted a number of you in relation to these rosters but if you do not feel you are able to assist in the spot I have given you, please contact me and we can make other arrangements. If you are not on these rosters there will still be plenty of other opportunities to assist the club. I will be sending an out soon outlining the upcoming events that the club is holding. I will be hoping to hear from all members to assist in some way. This all count towards your compulsory work hours. JUNIOR COMMITTEE REPORT This Saturday 2nd August we are again hosting the APSB Action day for this year, - the Junior Committee are responsible for overseeing the help to the APSB Committee. We are still looking for some helpers so please give Lynn a call on or Kez on or catch me on Facebook to offer some help. Funds raised from this day go towards our Junior Committee, PLEASE GIVE A HAND HAVE A GREAT DAY & HAVE FUN AT RALLY:-) GRADE 2 Dressage Overall Lauren Hussell 1st 1st Champion GRADE 3 Zoe Rogers 1st Well Done to all our riders at this event everyone put in a great effort, Bacchus Marsh course is alway very challenging and all our riders did a fantatic job. A great weekend was had by all with lots of fun camping and around the campfie, we look forward to our next expedition planned for the Werribee 2 day. MARK IT IN YOUR CALANDER.!! Imogen Nicholson is off to Canada for the Inter Pacific Exchange Rally. Congratulations, Good Luck & have a Wonderful Journey * The Inter Pacific Exchange Rally is conducted every two years. Teams of six riders from Australia, and countries in the Pacific basin meet in the Host Country for a series of social functions, competitive and non competitive activities. * Only Associate Members are eligible to apply for selection by each State Association. * Members must hold a B Efficiency Certificate as a pre-requisite for selection. Competition is not the prime objective of the Exchange Rally; it is simply the vehicle to bring people together from the various nations to share ideas, interests, and cultures and to establish international friendships. Visiting teams are either billeted with local families or accommodated together at a large complex. It is usual for the Host Nation to arrange a series of non-riding social functions, as well as the competitive riding activities. Read more on the PCAV Website - under Competitions. CMPC Memebers & Families look forward to hearing about Imogen s travels on her return.

5 CMPC HAMPERS We are asking all our members to donate items, which will make up hampers for our Raffle at our 2015 BEDS event. We will try to theme the hampers (there are some pictures showing examples). You can donate one item, several items or the whole hamper. I will accept any donations at this rally. To keep track any help at working bees or events should be entered in the book now please. REMEMBER 25 HRS FOR YEAR IS NECESSARY our Events are our Fundraising and without them your fees would more than double to cover our expenses thoughout the year.
