3 I N T H I S I S S U E Welcome to the Town of Yucca Valley s New Guide! Spring and Summer are simply wonderful seasons in beautiful Yucca Valley, and are sure to be even better this year as we look forward to an amazing spring wildflower bloom and relaxing summer nights. As always, we trust that you will find the Town s Community Services offerings exciting and entertaining options throughout the season. Whether it is the 2017 Earth Day event, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Celebration, or participation in the Town s many recreation programs and enrichment classes, we are thrilled to present these fantastic quality of life opportunities. This summer, the Hi-Desert Nature Museum is pleased to host a new exhibit titled Conservation Quest. Loaded with hands-on interactives, the exhibit delivers important conservation messages, inspiring visitors to make thoughtful choices about energy use. Both children and adults can learn about energy and see how simple actions can make big differences for families, communities and the planet. This will also be the theme of the Town s Summer Camp event running for a four week session in June and July. Of course summer in Yucca Valley is never complete without the Summer Music Festival. Bring a lawn chair and your dinner and enjoy an evening of varied musical talent underneath our summer evening skies. With musical stylings including big band, country, classic rock, and jazz, there is sure to be something just right for everyone. The Town is also excited about its Summer Aquatics program for With four 2-week swim lesson opportunities, lap swim, family swim and water aerobics, kids and adults of all ages will enjoy the community pool this summer. Our continued thanks to the Morongo Unified School District for their participation in the operational support of this needed community asset. Thank you for participating in our programming, and on behalf of the Community Services staff and my Council members, we wish you the best and hope you are able to enjoy all the fun that Spring and Summer in Yucca Valley brings.
