3 Welcome to the 25 th Annual Dance Connection Performing Arts Center Showcase. The performance you see today is a result of the entire year of dedication, concentration, and fun. The desired outcome is what you feel by watching the dancers; a bit of joy they experience in movement. Every show is a team effort, and we d like to extend our gratitude to all those parents and supporters who go above and beyond actively preparing for this event. Thanks to them, DCPAC gets better every year!! A great educational facility is only as good as their teachers which explains why DCPAC is the greatest! 5 2018 Graduating Senior s Grace Katherine Davis Grace has been dancing since she was two and competing since she was five. She has been on the Dance Connection Competition Team since she was eight. Grace is a Francis Howell Central graduate where she was on the Varsity Sensations Dance Team for four years and Co Captain her senior year. She was also involved in FBLA and Arete at school. Grace will be moving to LA in the fall to attend AMDA. At AMDA, she will be receiving a BFA in Performance Dance. After college, Grace hopes to dance professionally in LA and New York, and eventually teach dance. Grace would like to thank her parents for their endless support throughout the years, and pushing her to follow her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. She would also like to thank her younger brothers, Gavin and Gibson, for the fun and laughter they bring to her life. Lastly, she would like to thank her Nana for being her biggest cheerleader. Sarah and Jackie have been like family to Grace these past 10 years. They have given her so many opportunities and have supported her from the beginning. She would not be the dancer she is today without these two. Dance Connection is Grace s second home and was such a huge part of her life. She will miss her teachers and her teammates when she moves in October.

6 2018 Graduating Senior s Cameryn Miller Cameryn took her first dance class at the age of 5 in Houston, Texas. Eventually, she found her way to Dance Connection, where she has danced for the past three years. Cameryn graduated from Francis Howell Central where she was a member of National Honors Society, Student Council, Central Outreach, the A Plus Program, and the Varsity Dance Team, and also finished her high school career with multiple academic honors and a 4.3 GPA. Through dance she has met her closest friends and made some of her favorite memories and plans to continue studying her passion at Studio School Los Angeles where she will earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in commercial dance. She plans on dancing and performing professionally for as long as possible then continuing on to teach around the world. Though she wasn t at DCPAC for as long as others, the studio feels just as much like a second home to her. Cameryn would like to thank her parents for allowing her to continue pursuing her dream, her brother for sitting through competitions and recitals, and her sister for being her partner in crime and best friend. She would also like to thank Miss Sarah and Miss Jackie for all they have done for her and for welcoming her into the studio with open arms, as well as her teammates who allowed her into their family and became some of her best friends. She s going to miss you all so much, and she couldn t have done It without you.

7 2018 Graduating Senior s Samantha Grasser I am Samii Grasser; daughter of Scott Grasser and Tiffany Maquire. I am eighteen years old and have recently graduated from Fort Zumwalt East High School. For most of my life I have danced. I have danced from the age of two to 14 years old. I didn t come back to the studio until this year to dance once more before I graduated. While I was away from dancing, I also did pageants for a while. Starting in my sophomore year, I joined the girls tennis team at my school and have been playing tennis every year since then. During my senior year, I was able to be on the varsity team, and I made it to G.A.C. s. I also played soccer during my Junior year. I liked being on the soccer team and playing on the field. I wasn t able to play this last year, but I plan to play in the future. Other than that, I have been enjoying high school life. I plan to go to a community college first, then to a university. The university I plan to go to has yet to be decided. When I grow up, I plan to become an Architectural Technician or an Art Teacher.

13 10 Year Award Recipient Jenna Woelfel Jenna is 14, and has been dancing at Dance Connection since age four. She has enjoyed all of her ballet, tap, and jazz classes, plus the experiences with her teachers. She is a National Junior Honor Society member; and uses her work ethic taken from her dance experience in her daily life to help maintain straight A's. She enjoys playing her flute in the school band and is looking forward to high school. Jenna enjoys dancing with her friends and is excited about dancing in the future. She is grateful for all of her friends at DCPAC, and thanks her parents for giving her the opportunity for these amazing dance experiences.
