2 RECITAL PARKING West Garage Children s Way Nashville, TN Parking Instructions for daytime rehearsals: Before 4:00pm park in the WW area of West Garage. This can be entered on the 25TH Ave side. Please park in spaces Parking Instructions for ALL Performances: Park in the WT (sublevels 1-7) area of the West Garage after 4:00pm on Friday. You can also use this area all day Saturday and Sunday and it is accessible from Children s Way and 24th Ave entrances. 1

WHAT DO DANCERS NEED TO WEAR?: - Preschool & Mini Classes - What your dancer typically wears to class and bring all shoes. - Hip Hop Classes - What your dancer typically wears to class and bring all dance shoes. - Youth & Junior Teen Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical Classes - All black dance attire; all shoes. - Company Dancers - High bun, all black, bring all dance shoes. TECH REHEARSALS Friday, June 23 10:30am 11:00am 11:30am Preschool I Monday & Thursday Preschool I Friday 9:45am Preschool II Saturday Preschool II Friday 10:45am Preschool I Saturday Preschool II Thursday TECH REHEARSAL POLICIES Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your dancer s call time. We will begin with the rst class of each time block that is all there and ready. If a dancer does not arrive during their assigned time block, the class will rehearse without them and the dancer that missed rehearsal will not be allowed to perform. Dancers will be dismissed after their class rehearses to their next class. After dancers rehearse with their nal class for the day they will be free to go. If your dancer only has one rehearsal, please DO NOT DROP THEM OFF. This rehearsal may be as quick as 15 minutes in length, and they will need to be picked up promptly. Dancers that have more than one dance may be dropped o and stay in the care of ROOTS Dance sta. However, NO DANCERS will be able to stay with ROOTS Dance sta during Lunch Break. All dancers under 12 must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. If a dancer is to be picked up by anyone other than the person that dropped them o, ROOTS Dance sta must be noti ed of the picking up guardian s name and phone number at drop o. Only ROOTS Dance sta and Volunteers will be allowed in the theater and backstage during rehearsal. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby. 3

5 DRESS REHEARSAL Thursday, June 22 WHERE: - Ingram Vanderbilt University Blakemore Ave Nashville, TN Enter through the backstage door in the lobby at Ingram Hall. SCHEDULE: 2:00pm Opening Number Rehearsal - Company Dancers ONLY - Company II & IV Tech Rehearsal 6:00pm Dress Rehearsal - ALL Company dancers, Youth classes, Junior/Teen classes. - Preschool or Mini dancers should NOT attend this rehearsal. SPECIFICS: - All other dancers should arrive dressed in their FIRST costume (show orders: pages 7-9). - We will rehearse Finale rst, then all performers will line up with their rst dance to run the show in order. We will not rehearse Finale again at the end of the show. WHAT TO BRING: - Students in more than 1 dance should bring ALL items with them. - Please make sure your dancer s name is in/on ALL items. - Please do not bring anything valuable or messy to the backstage area. ONLY water is allowed backstage. DRESS REHEARSAL POLICIES Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your dancer s call time. Either come ready and in costume OR use backstage dressing rooms which will open two hours before each show. Please do not change clothes in the Ingram Hall lobby bathrooms. Parents may escort dancers to their dressing room for check-in, but only volunteers and ROOTS Dance sta will be allowed backstage during the rehearsal. You are welcome to wait in the lobby through the rehearsal or drop-o your dancer and return to pick them up. In an e ort to remain on time we need to keep the hallways open and clear, please do not bring non-performing children backstage. Students will be dismissed after their last dance is rehearsed. Please check the lineup when released to estimate when your child will be done and proceed to the backstage door in the Ingram Hall lobby to check out your dancer. No students will be released to anyone other than the person listed on the check-in sheet without proper id. 4
