This is not an option; all members are asked to sell tickets, not only to increase our coffers but to show the public the fine art we do. This is a beautiful quilt. Janice Griffin suggested clipping the picture from the newsletter to show the quilt for ticket selling; she is already well on the way to selling tickets. Thank you Janice! Vicki s husband, Reno, is making us a stand so the quilt can be displayed for ticket selling. I want members to suggest places we can set up to sell tickets, plus volunteer to participate in the selling. 6 Page 6 CRDA Newsletter SEPTEMBER 2016 Membership Report By Barbara Fowler What a wonderful time this past week painting with Stephanie Pooler teaching us painting red apples in acrylics! We had a successful business meeting before hand with eleven in attendance. Several months were discussed and plans set into place. Keep in mind the chapter dues are now due at $20.00 and $50.00 for the national dues. You will find the form to send in below. The national dues were adjusted for new members to where the date you join is the next year s date to renew. For example if you join in June, the next year s month to renew would be next June And if you have friends and/or family who would like to join until the end of the year, the dues would be pro-rated. On the form to send in, please be sure to include your current SDP membership number. Send in to me as listed at the bottom of the form. Reminders again: Be sure to use the CRDA poster in areas that will be noticed as it is a great draw to open conversation about our chapter. If you need one, contact Kathryn. If you need a CRDA badge, let me know. The badges should be worn at our chapter meetings. Be sure to share with your friends who attended the two websites to join: local and national. See the following: SDP website: CRDA website: The membership form for 2017 is at the end of this newsletter. Be sure to put your new SDP membership number on the form and send to me ASAP. Invite friends to attend our meetings! They can come to two before joining. They would have to sign up and pay for the materials and lessons. The charge for this would be five dollars more than our fee. We have two great events to get together and have fun. This would be a great time to invite friends to come along. October 29 is our visit to Lake Placid to view the many murals. November 6, our trip to participate in the Bear with Us, Inc. in Winter Garden all day paint and take. More details coming. Another date you could invite a friend to join us and become a part of our group for the year!
