3 Commodore Players The Commodore Players have already started working on their next project which is the KTA competition. This event will take place November 12 th -15 th. The cast has been selected and rehearsals will start next week. The title of the project is Letters to Kurt. Break a Leg! Molly- Madison Combs Erin- Grace Smith Lisa- Mackenzie Morgan Head Cheerleader- Alexia Williams Cheerleader 1- Rashelle Noble Cheerleader 2- Cheyenne Neace Betsy- Sarah Torres Mom- Hannah Melton Nerd- Harley Engle Jake- Austin Burgett Danni- Latefa Duncan Dylan- Ethan Cornett Kurt Cobain- Dylan Stacy Extras: John Castle Nathan Banks Katie Moore Kenzie Engle Katlin Collins Dylan Duncan Dominic Everidge Spanish Project In Mrs. Morgan s Spanish 2 Block class students have been learning how to describe their families along with their traits and personalities in Spanish. Instead of simply memorizing the vocabulary for this section and finishing up with an exam, Mrs. Morgan assigned students with the task of creating a five page book describing themselves and other members of their families. The book had to include the name, age, interests, personality, and a general description of the person s physical traits; pictures of the particular person described could be included for additional points. This is yet another interesting and creative way teachers are providing students with assignments that not only teach the curriculum, but also stray from the usual monotonous work tasked to students. As a student myself, I appreciate the change in pace with this kind of assignment, and look forward to similar projects in the future. Commodore Fan We would like to introduce you to one of the PCC Commodore s biggest fans. Kalaya is the Granddaughter of SFC Wilson and Sandra Wilson. She is ready to cheer on the Dores in her red and white. 3

13 Former PCC Students: Spotlight This week s Commodore Alumni is Mr. Andrew Lunsford, who is the CCR Teacher and is also the Head Coach of the PCC s Men s Soccer Team. He attended PCC from 2002 to He told us that Perry Central has become such a different place since he was here. The teachers know and care about the students a lot more since I was here, he said. His favorite moment from his high school years was when the men s soccer team won the District Championship. We hope he makes even better memories here at PCC over the course of the next few years. We are glad to have him as part of our faculty. 13
